Le Compas was an unforgettable meal. My husband and I ordered a bottle of wine (Pauillac AOP Bordeaux), escargot, soupe l'onion, beef bourguinon, ribeye with pepper sauce and pommes frites, tarte tatin, crème brûlée, and Armagnac (Bas Armagnac Duc de Loussac 1990). The entire meal was incredible and the vibes immaculate dining outside at a French restaurant. The pepper sauce on the ribeye was so good I could cry; truly one of, if not the most delicious sauce I've ever had. The house-made mayonnaise served with the pommes frites was the best mayonnaise I've ever had. The service from start to finish was amazing. Clara was our server and she was truly so kind, warm, patient with us (we are English speakers) and made us feel very welcome the entire time we were there. The meal was one of our favorites ever and we will cherish the memory, experience and food forever. This is a sandwich on five-grain bread that contained ham, zucchini, eggplant, grilled peppers, mozzarella, Saint-Moret cheese, arugula, basil, and balsamic cream. They gave the option to add a soft-boiled egg to the sandwich, which I took. The sandwich was tasty - it got a little sloppy towards the end due to all the components but overall the flavors worked and it was high-quality sandwich. The dish came with a side salad, and we also ordered some fries to share (both good). Service was good, they were very attentive and friendly.
