Voted as Melbourne's top 10 burgers by the Herald Sun and vouched for by my manager who knows a thing or two about burgers, I was glad to have given in to my curiosity. The menu is quite extensive with choices ranging from pulled pork, chicken, brisket, wagyu beef, and vegetarian; all between no-added gluten, fluffy and fresh buns!
My partner had the famous New York Burger ($12) while I tried the Rockefeller Wagyu Beef Burger ($15) with a small side of chips ($3.50) = $30.50 for a deliciousy hearty meal. The Wagyu pattie was the clear star of my burger as it was juicy and tasty. The other ingredients like the bacon, cheese, tomato, and spinach just added depth, a bit of flavor (+kick from the chili jam), and texture which complemented the pattie well. I honestly inhaled the burger, and it was 7 minutes in heaven! The New York Burger on the other hand was a monster in size, and my partner had his mouth and hands full. He's normally quite fussy about his burgers and wary of "gourmet" anything, but he proclaimed that he would love to go back again to see if they could whip up a chicken burger just as tasty. As for the chips, they were served burning hot and crispy. Presentation was on point, and there was not a sloppy misaligned ingredient.
Cherry on top: Staff were exceptionally friendly. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left, we were welcomed and offered suggestions by the helpful cashier and another young lady who also struck up a casual conversation with us as we were leaving.
