Best Chinese in the area. Good size portions, affordable and they're always nice. It's our go-to spot for Chinese.

A place to get good seafood for dine in or fresh seafood to take home. I have been here many times…read moreover the years, usually to get crabs to go. Today I was taking my dad around and he wanted to stop here for a late lunch or early dinner. He had a craving for some oysters. Unfortunately they did not have any oysters in stock. We still decided to stay and dine in though. The restaurant area isn't very large. After coming in we seated ourselves. Within a few minutes a waitress came over and took our drink orders. We also ordered cups of cream of crab soup as an appetizer. For our main courses I had the 6.5 oz crab cake platter and my father went with the 4 oz crab cake platter. You get two sides included. I ordered the onion rings and mixed vegetables while my dad went with onion rings and cole slaw. The crab cakes were good. Had a good flavor and not full of filler. The cream of crab soup was also delicious. Had me craving more. Plenty of lump crab meat in it. A bowl would probably fill me up as a meal. The onion rings were nice and crispy just like I like them. Mixed vegetables were nothing special. Just steamed veggies with not seasoning. Service was fast and friendly. Everyone was so very nice and made it a comfortable visit. I will definitely be back and so happy my father wanted to stop in this day.

Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food was very disappointing. The soft-shell crabs did not appear to be fully cooked, which was particularly concerning. The macaroni salad was bland and lacked flavor. I am also unsure what type of fish was served on the platter, but it did not appear to be lake trout. The fish was heavily breaded and very dry. The coleslaw was also extremely disappointing. Several hours after consuming the food, I became nauseous and developed a headache. While I have ordered from Captain Dan's in the past and previously had a different experience, this visit was very disappointing. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Captain Dan's and would encourage the restaurant to take a closer look at the quality, preparation, and accuracy of the food being served.

Took a few seconds to make eye contact with someone so we could be seated. When the person did come…read moreover they asked "How can I help you?" The sign on the door says "Please wait to seated?" We want to be seated...... Once we were seated it took awhile for sever to come over. I actually had to stop one of the serves walking around to ask if anyone was working this section. Finally the person behind the bar came over to take our order. The food is delicious. I love when real corn beef is on the menu and not just on a Reuben. The Irish grits were a new thing I didn't know I needed. The flavors gel so well together. I'll go back again to try dinner but I sure hope for a better reception.

Collectively, we ordered the following. Chicken Pot Pie - Amazing flavor and portion size. Smoked Chicken Wings - Creatively delish. Broccoli (2) Hot Toddy's - THE BEST HUBBY AND I EVER TASTED !! There was live music on this evening. The mood was very chill, and relaxing. Great vibes. Hubby and I visited again for dinner on 5'7'2025 This is our special day. Hubby and I met 29 years ago today. We were seated and assisted by Tatum. Collectively, we ordered the following. Seasonal Soup: Creamy Chipotle Chicken Soup Corned Beef n' Cabbage Chicken Pot Pie Smoked Chicken Wings Cruzan & Ginger Ale Cruzan & Pineapple It was happy hour, and everything was amazing. The beverages were discounted. The food was great, and the atmosphere was cool. This evening happened to be their Wine Pairing Dinner evening. It was fun to watch the crowd of customers anticipate their 3-4 course meal w pairings. I researched afterward and saw they're just about monthly, $65 which is a steal, and it appears they sell out. Definitely worth participating. I have 50 11 food allergies so I may have to sit this one out. Another great visit down in the books!!

We ordered the cheesesteak eggrolls and the meat tasted like taco meat that you make at home so that was different and unexpected. Also ordered the vodka pasta and added steak, kid mac n cheese and kid cheese fettuccine. The steak and noodles for the dishes were all cooked very well! The mac n cheese was delicious! However the sauces for the vodka pea pasta and the fettucine was lacking flavor. I love trying vodka pasta and different restaurants because it's one of my favorites! This one, for me, missed the mark. The salad and bread was a nice treat! I want to try the salmon and pizza next time! The staff was AMAZING! So kind and sweet with such amazing customer service! Overrall a great experience and I will be back to try something new!

Their food options (like beef tongue tacos) remind me of eating in South America. Staff is nice and prompt. Reminds me of a real Mexican restaurant (but in good condition). We weren't too hungry so we only had a taco and nachos but it was legit. It has a small full service bar and TV's with soccer on..... this place didn't feel like it was forcing itself to be Mexican, it just is. Try this place!

I came here for my birthday and was so disappointed. I was excited to enjoy authentic Mexican food and the tiktok my daughter showed me did a good sale. I drove an hour out of the way and first saw the food sitting out that looked kind of cold and dry. We chose to get the tacos and carnes asada and was informed by the waitress the prices are different from what was on the menu. I asked for a tequila drink and it had mostly ice and tasted more like water than anything. The tortillas were dry and cracked to the point we couldnt even eat with them. The only good thing was the decoration. The worst part was the huge guy in the front of the restaurant. When the bill returned much higher than three plates and a drink should cost, he refused to proved a itemized receipt and also refused to let us speak to the waitress. Luckily, she came by and resolved a least some of the discrepancies. He was rude and said there are many more customers and that we are one of many.

Our overall experience harkened back to some of the best episodes of the last season of "The Bear" we recently was on TV - many employees working feverishly to overcome all sorts of challenges to keep the multitudes of patrons sublimely sated with quality Italian cuisine. Some of the parallels were uncanny! To the restaurant's credit, this promotion was well-marketed and reflected in the full house of patrons with a jammed lobby that spilled outdoors with people waiting for tables. To the restaurant's further credit, there were many servers working feverishly hard to keep pace with the onslaught. They had prepared, in other words. Kudos to the charming hostess, who somehow kept dozens of balls juggling in mid-air. The anniversary menu itself was simple (down-home traditional Italian fare), possibly both reflective of the 1988 era and the move-them-in, move-them-out necessary philosophy of the evening. Our mussels appetizer was delicious but arrived late (with a profuse apology) reflective of the onslaught. We understood. Our main courses (Italian chicken dishes) were fine and well-prepared if a bit watery, again reflective of 1988 and of the busy kitchen. Again, we understood. Pricewise, with the promotion, we saved about $11 or $12 a person off what an equivalent order would have been in 2026, so our bill reflected. It WAS a cool promotion and Liberatore's deserves our business (and yours) more often even absent special promotions like this. Hopefully this creative idea inspires this on the part of it's many past customers.
