Additional Update 4/17/26: I had an echocardiogram scheduled today and arrived 10 minutes early. Despite that, I waited an additional 20 minutes past my appointment time. I also asked multiple times about the cost of the visit, and no one was able to provide a clear answer. At that point, I decided to leave, I'm not going to wait close to an hour for a practice that doesn't prioritize patient care or communication. To make matters worse, I am still waiting on my lab results. They confirmed the results were received on the 8th, yet I have not received any follow-up or evaluation. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, and I would recommend considering another provider. Previous Update: I previously left a review for New Wave Physicians Group and, unfortunately, I'm updating it again out of frustration. In my original review, I mentioned that my experiences with Dr. Carder and Dr. Troung were positive, they were both professional, attentive, and helpful during my visits. However, I also noted ongoing issues with the front office staff, and those problems have only gotten worse. It is extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone. Calls often go unanswered, and when someone does pick up, it feels like a rare occurrence. I've had to call repeatedly at different times of the day just to speak with someone, and on multiple occasions I've been placed on hold and then disconnected. More concerning is what happened after my most recent appointment with Dr. Carder. I went in for serious symptoms, had an EKG performed, and completed lab work. I specifically asked how I would receive my results and what the next steps would be regarding treatment or medication. I was told I would receive a phone call, but that never happened. After calling over 50 times, I finally reached someone who informed me that my results had been available for quite some time but had not even been reviewed. I also followed up on a sleep study that was discussed during my visit, only to find out it had not been submitted. The medications I was told would be prescribed were never sent to the pharmacy either. On top of all of this, I still don't have access to the patient portal. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance from the office staff, no one has been able to help me get it set up. These issues have been ongoing and are now affecting my ability to receive timely care. At this point, I feel like I've given this office more than enough chances and will likely be looking for a new provider. read more

Dr. Carder is amazing. I absolutely love having him as my physician. But his staff is not on his level. They failed to get my prescription refilled for over a month despite my repeated requests and additional repeated requests from the pharmacy. I have been in severe pain for over a month. I went to get a CT scan 2 weeks ago. I've communicated multiple times with his office to get the results. Dr. Carder was out of the office for a few days and my issues went completely ignored. As soon as he returned, he messaged me saying the results were abnormal and someone from the office would contact me to review the results. Two days later and NOTHING. read more

Dr. Truong is pretty good, but the front office is abysmal. There's some kind of issue every time, either with billing or medication. You can call, but you'll get voicemail and they'll call you back two weeks later, or not at all. Messages thru patient portal go unanswered read more

They are the worst at communication!!! Ever since my doctor joined their group I cannot get a hold of anyone there let alone call in to get a refill on my much needed prescription. I've been out for almost a month and it has literally come down to me walking in the office tomorrow to get what I need. And if that won't fix the problem, I love my doctor, but I will have to find someone new due to this places lack of communication. read more

My doctor, Dr Carder is AWESOME. His staff? Completely incompetent. DO NOT, DO NOT let them take blood. The lab doesn't work for them, it's outsourced and you will get a 200-400 dollar bill from them. You can call the Dr office, "oh sorry it's not our problem they are outsourced" You call the lab, "Oh I'm sorry we don't handle billing, you need to call teem" I have COMPLETE medical insurance paid up. They could care less, it's outsourced sorry. Well I'm outsourcing you to a new Dr office. Have Dr Carder call me. I'd love to explain why despite loving him I'm not dealing with this BS. read more

My wife followed Dr Amie Sun-Wright from her old practice to New Wave and she's extremely happy she did. Previously, she was a member of a "corporate" mega practice that seems to be so common these days. Dr Sun-Wright was always competent but it was difficult to get "quality" time with her back then. Mega practices burden their members with performance metrics that get in the way of the patient/physician relationship. We were already thinking about finding a new practice for our needs. We were certain we didn't want another corporate style practice. We wanted a smaller, intimate group of physicians that put the patient ahead of performance metrics and revenue generation. Then we found out that Dr Sun-Wright had moved on and was forming her own practice along with a few other doctors. What a difference! Dr Sun-Wright was always competent but now she spends real quality time consulting with them patient on their medical needs. My wife has been "battling" a persistent undiagnosed ailment for the past year. Despite many visits to untold number of specialists, problems persisted. The real problem was the anxiety from not knowing what the cause was. Although, we're still in the early stages of finding the cause. Dr Sun-Wright had been systematic on her approach and has be zeroing in on the problem. All along the journey she has been compassionate and has taken the time to assure us of that we would find the cause and ultimately the treatment. This is a stark difference to the experience we've had with the old medical practice. This is the experience we've had with the other physicians and staff at New Wave Physicians Group. If you're looking for a practice where the patient is the primary focus, this is the practice that you've been searching for! read more

I love this practice! I've been seeing Annalysa Nguyen for a few years. She is absolutely wonderful. I have honestly never received the level of care that Anna gives. In this day and age where we have all basically become a number...I found that isn't the case with her. She is compassionate, personable and LISTENS. She fully explains her treatment plan and works hard at helping her patients become the best version of themselves in every area of their health.
