My husband and I were shopping for flooring for our new home. We had been to three locations,…read moreflooring America in Paducah was our third. For the exact same type of flooring, we noticed their prices were four times more expensive than the other two places we checked. That said, we didn't want to insult them and make them feel bad so I left a fake name, a fake phone number, and a fake address. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from this company to my real phone number--A number I never provided to them nor gave them permission to call. What's even more outrageous, is they contacted our real estate agent--an egregious overreach of boundaries. We never mentioned who we were working with for our real estate transaction. Who do these people think they are? It is the most outrageous invasion of privacy my husband and I have ever experienced and we're not young people. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. I explained what happened to my real estate agent and apologized on behalf of this company for being so obnoxious. I've never known a flooring company to go to such lengths to stalk potential customers before. It was very very disturbing. I'm not sure what software they have rigged up in that store, but if you go here, turn your phone to airplane mode so they can't access it because if they do they will track down everybody you know to try to get a hold of you. I will post this review for everybody to see because it's 100% true.

Used their recommended installer for luxury plank vinyl and premium vinyl tile…read more Worst experience yet the installer had his wife, son and a few other people over during the week it took to install the flooring. They were just sitting on the flooring hanging out??? They didnt measure correctly so I have nearly 500sf too much flooring. The tiles are all unevenly spaced and the grout was not sealed and is cracking and changing color(how old was this grout they charged me $50 a bucket for?) the tiles are popping up because no adhesive or not enough was used. The vinyl plank is separating at the seams and popping up. How they screwed up t&g planks? They refused to use an under layment saying it was not recommended but several staples from the carpet that they didnt remove are pushing up through the vinyl. I called the company an underlayment IS ALWAYS recommended. All of this flooring will have to be removed and reinstalled. Luckily because of the poor measuring I have lots extra and can do this. But it will be at my expense because the installer doesnt answer his phone and therefore doesnt warranty his work as you cannot reach him. All this was done approx 3 months ago. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We will NEVER use this company for tile or installation again. We are out almost $3500 between the materials and labor. It will cost about the same to remove and reinstall.

Ray Drennan from Floors Unlimited laid floors in my new home. Two weeks afterward, they cupped…read more He admitted that he did not do any moisture testing and that he did not check under the house. His wife, Karen Drennan, said that she has contacted all of the installers in the area and they do not do moisture testing either. When I contacted all of them (for a replacement estimate), they said it was standard practice. We've tried to settle things with them out of court. We had a NWFA flooring inspector come to look at our floors. He said that the floors did not acclimate correctly. They put the flooring in our house 3 days prior to the air being turned on. The floor was laid 3 days after the air was on. Since the floor was laid 3 days after the air, Ray mistakenly thought it was acclimated. The 3 days WITHOUT air conditioning (in June!) damaged the flooring. The inspector also confirmed that moisture testing is a standard practice. Now that we have a lawyer, the Drennans have lied to their lawyer and said that they did moisture testing! They only have liability insurance that covers things out of their control, but does not cover installation (scary, huh?). They don't have the money, so they are now lying. Ray is a poor installer (though he will tell you he is the best) and his wife will lie to keep from having to assume any financial responsibility. Ray does not follow NWFA flooring guidelines and does not follow common flooring installation practices. I wish I had known this before we decided to use them. I guess it says a lot to know that the installer does not (and can not) stand behind his work.
