I stepped out and the tailor and another assistant were finishing up with typing in clothes from clients who had left. I waited. A man then came in and the tailor served him - while ignoring me. The other woman went to the back. I waited. The first man left, and another man came in and again, the tailor served the new male customer. I waited and then said, "this is the second customer you have served while I am waiting." He arrogantly didn't even turn, she said nothing. I went in and changed. She came and tried to hug me. Down Jacket washed and damaged…read more Two month ago I bought a lightweight down jacket. I brought it to be cleaned and was told it needed to be washed. This I would've known for many years of experience with down jackets, but I felt that since they were professional, they would have better success than me because it is a brand new coat. Today I picked up the coat and the down is lumped up within the baffles, indicating that it was not fluffed correctly in the drying cycle. I returned, and spoke to a gentleman who tried to tell me that the jacket was old, or the baffle seams were torn or the down was "old and worn out". Good thing this doesn't happen to ducks. I took the jacket home and will by hand smooth out the down within the baffles. Terrible terrible terrible customer service particularly because the cost of the jacket to wash was $30.70. Would not recommend you ever use them for a down jacket.

This morning I had the worst experience with customer service in the US. This was my second time…read moreusing Anton's cleaners services and won't ever use them again. The first time I went they damaged my winter jacket after assuring me it was going to be ok. They responsibly paid Mr back for it that time, even though I took about a month to get my money; this first time I went to their Boylston st. location in Newton. About a month ago I gave them a chance again because I thought the jacket situation had been a rare case (they have so many locations that you imagine the service is pretty good), this time I went to a different location, the one in Needham to get a dress I bought and brought from Mexico cleaned. Well my surprise was that when I picked it up I checked it very carefully and once again they had damaged it. It took a month for the manager/supervisor SANDY to see me and when finally I could see her she refuses to pay for what they did. She said they were not paying anything because they hadn't done it (I'm sure my dress was perfectly fine when I brought it). She starts acting very rude and disrespectful to me. Starts ignoring me and asking me to leave because she was not going to pay anything. She was accusing me to wore the dress after picking it up, she said that how was she sure it didn't happen after because I didn't left ir there (honestly with the other experience I had, of course I didn't want to leave it there). I asked her several times to pay me for what the dress had cost me because I cannot use it any more. She refused and THREATENED me saying she was going to call the police if I didn't leave to what I said, call them I'm not doing anything wrong. I felt this was a power abuse and a bit of racism too. At the she gave me 15 dollars, saying I owed her foe the other order (the one when they damaged my jacket). Dhe gave me 15 dollars when my dress cost more than 100 but at this point I didn't care about the money or the dress any more. At this point it was the way she treated me what had me upset. This Anton's Cleaners company has many locations and they are known for doing charity work. Well what happened to me today at the Needham location with this MANAGER/SUPERVISOR SANDY was pretty sad and a really bad experience, nothing to do with the excellent reputation the company has. SO SAD AND DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. I hope she's not treating other people like she treated me today.​

The main problem here is that there is NO EMERGENCY CONTACT in case of an issue, especially on Sundays. There is a business number listed, but nobody ever answers it or calls back. I don't know who actually owns this business but I'm gobsmacked that the owner(s) would neglect to leave a reliable way to contact them for emergency problems. Wash and dry at your own risk.
