I have used them for some time mainly because I am lazy and they were convenient. After bad service a year ago, they apologized and delivered the garments they had failed to clean. Recently I had some garments for tailoring. I went into the change room as they asked, but midway through being pinned a man came in who wanted elbow patches on his sweater. The woman left me without apology or explanation and went and helped him! I said nothing and went to change into the next garment. I stepped out and the tailor and another assistant were finishing up with typing in clothes from clients who had left. I waited. A man then came in and the tailor served him - while ignoring me. The other woman went to the back. I waited. The first man left, and another man came in and again, the tailor served the new male customer. I waited and then said, "this is the second customer you have served while I am waiting." He arrogantly didn't even turn, she said nothing. I went in and changed. She came and tried to hug me. I said nothing and walked out. Awful, awful service at very high prices. I went down the road to an elderly couple who are wonderful tailors. Half the price and far better service and tailoring. worst wash & fold ever! was told clothing would be ready next day. 24 hrs later I went to pickup my wash which was not ready. two workers started folding my wash. Had to wait awhile. this was inconvenient. Also A chemical smelling cloth was folded in with my laundry. everything has a strong chemical odor . I will definitely NOT be back here with all the dry cleaners in Needham. I do not recommend this business . read more

i have been here a couple of times. The first time i took my clothes lady asked me to pay in cash -hmm- the next client came and paid digital.. second time was a garment alteration and poorly done but acceptable and then took some clothes for cleaning which included a simple long cotton dress and was charged as a "gown" for $35! i thought it was a typo and when i let her know at pickup she was dismissive and said to give me discount of $2 off.. i rejected the offer. I had to ask for the receipt. Customer service could do better by being more transparent about the charges upfront . Also a non dismissive attitude is greatly appreciated. My daughter put a dress into Lewandos only to be hemmed. The purchase price of the dress was $100. Lewandos charged her $235 to hem this dress and would not give her a receipt!! I immediately called them back this afternoon when my daughter came home with the dress because I was certain the price must have been a mistake, However, the woman on the phone told me the price was correct because the dress, which again was inexpensive, had an inner lining. I told her she gave no receipt and she said that was correct with no explanation. I asked why they didn't tell the price up front, but she only apologized and offered a discount on a future visit. Having so many other cleaners in Needham to choose from, in good conscience, I could not recommend this place to anyone. Go someplace else!! read more

This is the kind of dry cleaning place I like. Moderately priced, takes a couple days to do shirts and pants. Got a gross stain out without charging extra. You hear a lot of horror stories about dry cleaners...it seems like most people post about their horror stories on here. This isn't one of them; they just do a consistently good job. read more

I was very disappointed in my recent experience with Lewandos. I brought a small wool hooked rug into the store that I bought about 5 years ago. I was told I couldn't use my coupon even though there were no exclusions printed on it. I was told the rug would be ready the next Sat. First stop on Sat-I was told it wasn't ready. Second stop on Sat afternoon, I was told it wasn't dry. Came back on Monday-it was ready, I paid $25 and went home. The rug was damaged. The backing had torn off over half of the back and a corner of the rug was missing wool. I went back to the store and the clerk listened to me and got an older woman who told me that the rug was old and that's why it was damaged. I got no satisfaction from her. I would like to think that they would have informed me of the damage when I picked up the rug, but they didn't. She told me that the rug had been sent out-one would hope that that cleaner would have said something. So here I am with a damaged rug having paid $25 for the privilege of having them damage it and not own up to it. No more Lewandos for me! read more

We moved to Needham almost 2 years ago. We tried a number of dry cleaners and finally picked Lewandos as our go to place. Some major pros: * Very contentious * Clothes come out clean * Good parking in front * Quick transaction time * Their computerized system lets you pay before or after so you can pay one time for the drop off and pick up and the next time you don't have to pay. Let's you get out quickly. * Convenient hours. * Don't nickel and dime you. If a button falls off they will put one on for no charge. I recommend them. read more

I've been going here for a couple of years. The price is very reasonable and the turnaround is very good. There is ample parking. Hours are good, they don't open on Sunday, but close by 7pm on weekdays. The staff is very friendly and makes me feel welcomed. located in needham center, lewandos is a great place to drop off your dry cleaning and get your pants tailored. It takes about a 2 day turnaround but if you need it the next day, always ask and most of the time they can do it. They have a changing room if you want the tailor to measure there. My alterations have been exact and the only time I was disappointed was when one time, my returned clothes smelled very chemically. They have a parking lot so you are not driving in circles in an already hectic needham center. read more

I went to Lewandos to have a cashmere dress shortened. Now that is a very easy thing to do, but unfortunately, the woman there completely screwed it up and the back hem was 6 inches higher than the front so my butt would have stuck out if i wore the dress. I was very upset as it was a brand new dress that cost me over 200 bucks. It was completely ruined. She kept trying to justify why it was that way instead of just apologizing and offering to give me my money back and potentially cover the damages. We just do regular dry cleaning and shirts, nothing fancy. Service is always fast and friendly, and we have not had any problems with any orders here such as missing buttons, damaged shirts, that we have had at other drycleaners. Happy to do business here. read more
