While I have used this dry cleaners for a number of years and generally the cleaning is fine, they have raised their prices. Their website has pre-covid pricing, they don't provide receipts and don't post their pricing anywhere in the store. When confronted by an outsized bill, they couldn't provide an itemized receipt. Kind of surprised to not see more reviews. There is always a steady stream of clientele every time I go to drop of clothes. I only use Hercules for suits, pants, jeans, coats, and sweaters. These are the only items I own that require dry cleaning. I've been coming to Hercules for a few years now (previously I went to Anton's). Their prices are in-line with other places in Needham/Newton/Wellesley, which means they are by no means cheap. But I trust them with some of my more expensive articles of clothing, and they always come out looking as good as new. The service is incredibly professional. They always address me as sir and seem genuinely thankful for my business. They are also open 7 days a week which makes drop offs and pick ups very convenient. Over a year ago, I brought my linen furniture covers to Hercules Dry Cleaning. The owner, Jin Hee Hur, dry cleaned the linen fabric himself. In doing so, he stained, tore and ripped the fabric on the covers for a chair, ottoman, and couch, including each individual cushion. The total cost of the the fabric was over $3000.00. When I brought the fabric into his business, he told me that I was lying to him. He then continued to insult me by saying to my friend and I that we fell into the 2% of his clientele that caused trouble for him. (evidently, anyone who questions his practices causes trouble). I asked for reimbursement for the items that he had destroyed and he told me that he would not do so. I therefore had to bring him to small claims court in March of this year. In doing so, we went to mediation, where I asked him to fix the fabric, by stretching it, sewing it and dying it so that everything matched. If the conditions were not to my liking, I would then receive $2000.00 towards new fabric. He agreed, the took the fabric and my furniture to his business on Chestnut St. to ensure a proper fit once he stretched the fabric. A day later, he called me to his business so that we could discuss the fabric. I went there with my wife and friend, where he informed that I had lied to him, that he was going to counter sue me for a fraudulent claim and that he was going to keep the furniture until the court date. I asked the Needham police to kindly ask Jim Hee Hur to release my furniture, which he agreed to after a lengthy discussion. We returned to court in September, where this time we to trial, where the judge found in my favor and dismissed Jin Hee Hur's claim against me. Jin Hee Hur was to pay me the $2000.00 that we had originally agreed upon, and was to do so by the middle of October. The date came and went, and I found myself back in the court to notify the judge that the owner of Hercules Dry Cleaning still had not paid me. At that point, the judge issued a capias for the arrest of Mr. Jim Hee Hur so that he would be brought into the court. On this day, in December, I still have yet to receive anything from the owner. I found the owner untrustworthy, conniving, rude, dishonest, and disrespectful. I would never bring another piece of fabric to this man. EVER! I would never recommend him, and I would go so far as to tell people to never go to him, as I am doing right now. If I could rate this business and the owner with a ZERO stars, I would do so. read more

This is the best dry cleaner period! I bring all my professional cleaning to Hercules. The owner David is always there and has been in the business for years. He has had this one location for the past 9 years. This has enabled him to offer his expert services while providing outstanding quality control. He is a genius at his craft! Several years ago, I brought my daughter's prom dress that had a stain on it to another dry cleaner in Needham. The girl behind the counter was just a young kid behind the counter. She informed me that it would be $40 to dry clean and they could not guarantee they could get the stain out. Rather than shell out $40 to get back a potentially stained dress,I decided to get another opinion. I brought it to Hercules Cleaners in Needham. The store is immaculate and modern and the owner met me at the front and spent several minutes discussing the dress. He felt he could remove most if not all of the stain. His price was even slightly less than the chain cleaner. He told me to come back in 4 days. When I returned, he asked if he could have another couple of days as he wanted the dress to be perfect with the stain completely removed. Three days later, the dress was better than new. David is exceptionally polite, sincere and very proud of his establishment. Yesterday, he invited me into the back to show me his state of the art machines. All his dry cleaning and laundering is done on premises. He says this helps ensure an excellent result!. (I am not sure who the guy is that gave one star but he was not talking about this establishment. The guy he names doesn't exist at this location. Why would a guy from Natick go to Needham for his dry cleaning any way?! I hope Yelp removes his review because it is definitely erroneous.)
