This is the "NEW" Philly Diner. Not the Philly Diner that shows up as closed online. They are open and their food and service are great!

It's got the diner feel inside, but the problem is the outside/driveway/location. It's behind a weeded area on 291, the driveway on the one side has massive potholes and it's near some seedy motels. The inside had the same sticky floors on both of my visits. They have a lock box connected to the front door. No ketchup at the table just salt and pepper shakers. You get the vibe that when it opened it was a decent looking place. The buffet is on for lunch and dinner. I think the lady said $19.99 for lunch and $24.99 for dinner. The menu has a lot of options for breakfast, sandwiches and entrees. The lady serving me was nice and friendly. She recommended a cheesesteak. It came with fries and was subpar. The roll was forgettable and although the meat wasn't terrible it needed more cheese in the mix. The fries weren't anything memorable. On my second visit I had the Philly Special which is two eggs, double of two meats and either grits or hash browns. I had my eggs sunny side up, the meat was a huge portion of bacon (bacon needed to be crispier) and sausage patties. The toast tasted old and the hash browns weren't crispy at all. The coffee I added was pretty good. The meal was just under $10 and the coffee $2.50. If your looking for a filling breakfast for around $15 you won't be wowed, but it was a big meal compared to some other local places. On both lunch visits there was barely anyone in the building. Some folks came to grab a bite to go, but pretty much empty right at lunchtime. If you need a quick stop for a bite, or a quiet place for a lunch meeting this isn't a terrible place, but they need to clean up the place. Lose the lock box on the front door and make it easier on the eyes. Don't expect much, stick to the basics and you'll be fine. They get the third star because the lady working was very nice. read more

You walk in expecting a classic diner experience. You get something close... but not quite there. The staff was great--friendly, attentive, no issues at all. Only odd moment was seeing a waitress outside smoking between table visits. Just felt a little out of place these days. The biggest surprise was the salad bar. Not just salad--soups, wings, even shrimp sitting out. It looked impressive, but also like a bit of a gamble. With a vacation coming up, I passed on anything risky. The place itself could use some attention. Christmas decorations in April and plastic plants everywhere give it a worn, outdated feel. Food was good. Nothing amazing, nothing bad. Just solid. Overall, it's an OK spot. A few nice touches, a few head-scratchers, and a feeling that it could be better with a little cleanup and consistency. read more

I drove all the way to this location to try their buffet on a week day & was so disappointed, I wanted to cry. Only half the buffet was open & 4 people were in the restaurant. My cousin & I was so disappointed. read more

Coming in from a red eye, 8 minutes from the airport we arrived here at 6am starving. It is 24 hrs and quiet with 1 other patron inside. The waitress was quiet and nice and quickly brought us coffee and our orders. Good prices dinner food big portions and Philly cheesesteaks as well. They also have a big dessert area for your sweet tooth: The coffee was a little on the weak side for this caffeine addiction but it helped. We just weren't use to the avocado toast being Guacamole toast with eggs. Prices were reasonable. Great experience and friendly people. read more

Stay far away from this place. Our flight was canceled because of the storm, and since we were staying at the hotel next door, we figured ordering takeout from here would be the easiest option. That turned out to be a huge mistake. When we opened the containers, I honestly thought we had been handed someone else's leftovers from the night before. The food looked absolutely disgusting--like dog shit in a box. I genuinely couldn't believe this was what they thought was acceptable to serve paying customers. It felt like a joke. The presentation was revolting, and the quality matched it. This wasn't just disappointing--it was downright inedible. After a long, stressful day of travel, this was the last thing we expected. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. If this is the standard they serve, they should be embarrassed. read more

All I can say positive is the servers were nice. Very attentive, pleasant, smiling, etc. At $35, this place was an absolute rip-off!!! I will start with, I've been to many a buffet over the years. What's the number one rule for buffet? Presentation! From the second we got inside I was already questioning my life's choice at that moment. But gave it a shot - I also didn't realize it was $35 a person until we got home - my spouse paid - or I would have demanded my money back. We were there at 6:30pm on a Friday, so basically still dinner time. Most of the food looked questionable. Definitely had not been tended to in quite awhile. The salad bar didn't look too bad, but after walking around the entire buffet, I definitely did NOT trust eating any of the crab or shrimp. Almost nothing was labeled so you had no clue what you were eating. Every piece of meat and fish was dry. There was a metal container in the buffet with brown gravy. It was literally a solid top from not being stirred. The mashed potatoes were dried out brownish and gross looking. Pizza was ice cold cardboard. EVERYTHING was loaded with salt - if u have high blood pressure, you may want to stay away - and I'm not exaggerating. Most of the food had way too many spices - not hot spicy, just A LOT of spice in everything. And I often eat Halal, Indian, Chinese, Thai, etc food so spice doesn't bother me - when it's used correctly. It just didn't taste good. It's been about an hour and a half since I ate and my mouth still tastes absolutely gross. The desserts are shoved in the old prep room from the original diner and it didn't look like we should have been in there. I will say the cheesecake cup was good. The rice pudding was "ok." Otherwise it was a bunch of canned fruit. They had Rainier cherries, which I was super excited about - till I realized they were all brown and bruised. Still gave them a shot. Nope. Gross. On one side, in the corner, there was a small buffet setup with no lights on so it was super dark. I think, it was brownies, two trays of some little cake squares, and some turnover things. After we ate we sat for a bit to let the spices settle, and watched, first some kids, I don't know if they were related to the owners or something, grabbing food off the buffet with their hands. Then at some point a worker was finally tending to the buffet food, no gloves, and my friend said they watched him rearrange the bins of chicken wings with his bare hands. Yeah. I will never be back there. read more

Philly Diner has introduced an all you can eat buffet. Our advice is don't waste your time or money. You are handed a plastic fork. We had to ask for a knife and napkins. They have crab legs. My wife asked for butter and was told to use the cocktail sauce. I believe this was the owner. We did get drawn butter, it was cold. The waitress did bring some to us and said she put it in the microwave. They have a salad bar, Mediterranean, Italian, Chinese and seafood. Mostly all the hot food was dried up from sitting out too long. They had chicken Parmesan which was hard and tough to cut. No cheese on it. The only edible items were the crab legs, shrimp, salad and fruit. I will say that the wait staff were very nice. This was a one and done for us. read more

The owner was so kind and came out to welcome us and make sure we were enjoying our meal. There was a diverse food selection at the buffet. This was a very welcoming, home away from home diner. read more

Friendly staff and a clean kitschy vibe gives this convenient airport diner a good start for the weary traveler. I ordered a South of the Border omelette and a cup of coffee. The coffee was promptly served and the omelette prepared to order. No rush here, just take your time and enjoy! read more

The Philly cheesesteak is phenomenal. You have to try it. They have a senior menu, which was nice for my elderly parents who enjoyed a fantastic turkey sandwich. They said it was flavorful moist seasoned really well and it came with the salad bar, which has shrimp and chicken wings with it also so that's a great deal! My husband, who is a very big man also ordered the regular menu turkey sandwich and it was absolutely stuffed with meat. Our waitress was so kind and sweet and friendly, and the staff checked on us frequently. The diner is clean and just like an old-fashioned diner. You will love it. read more

Why even have a menu if half of the items are going to be unavailable. Not once not twice but I've tried to give them the benefit of doubt and they always seem to be out of cups or whatever. I ordered door dash for breakfast and couldn't receive my oj because they were out of cups??? And half of my order is always cancelled because they are out of it. And the food is nasty! read more

Im delighted to add a review. My first halal buffet. My wife will not eat meat if not halal. I am amazed at the freedom I had in the food selection. Food was pretty good. I will be coming back soon read more

food was terrible. honestly only good thing was the dessert sushi looks old and tastes hella old.

This is not what your looking for buffet was limited and very bland. They had Lamb chops that were very good. first of all for two people is $80. Why should I pay a 15% gratuity when you didn't do I should be able to give you what I want to give you. this is not where you want to come to bring a big family if you know what I know go to Ichiban. I will not be returning at all. read more

Just reopened. Place was dead. Food was mediocre. Only turkey meats available for breakfast. Service makes me rate 3 stars. Food would have gotten 1-2 at best. Would not try again. read more

This is a wonderful restaurant. The soup and salad bar is great and they have a senior menu. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Plus, there is live music there on the first Saturday of each month. I've eaten there several times and highly recommended it! read more

Great service and good quality food. I was staying at a hotel nearby visiting from out of town and came in for dinner and was really impressed. I had the salmon stuffed with crab and it was delicious with a very large portion. I picked a side of broccoli but it also came with the salad bar and soup. The salad bar had all the toppings for a regular salad plus potato salad, pasta salad, coleslaw and some delicious banana bread. I was lucky I dinned in so I could get the full array they have to offer. I was so full off the salad bar and soup I had plenty of leftover Stuffed Salmon with Crabmeat to take to go.will be back before I go back home. read more

The food was great, staff is very pleasant and attentive. Diner is very clean and tastefully decorated. I like the new addition of a salad bar with soup options. They also have shrimp in the salad bar and rolls. They also have a private room for small parties. Highly recommend the Nutella milkshake. It rocks! The only thing I would ask of the owners is to label each salad dressing in the salad bar. This way you get to see what you're putting on your salad. Looking forward for breakfast next! read more

Somehow the food was bland, but also had a terrible aftertaste. Restaurant was dirty, and my chair was falling apart. Save your money and microwave your own frozen food. As far as I can tell thats what they do. read more

I stopped at 4 am on 9/6, yet it took almost one hour to receive my meal. Tho Sam (the cook) and Kelly (the SOLE waitress) could not have been nicer or more personable, they were swamped by both walk-in traffic and delivery orders (Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc). Perhaps Management is waiting to see if additional staff is needed at that hour, but I would suggest they do so. Meanwhile, GIANT KUDOS to both Sam and Kelly! read more

This is one place that I would never go again ever. So I ordered eggs with cheese, French fries and pancakes, the eggs had to much cheese on them but I was able to take it off, the pancakes where nasty but I was going to try and deal with it until a fly flew on them. The whole time we were there we had to swat this fly away. So when the waitress bought over the bill I told her what happened and so she said that she would take care of it. So when she came back she had the old bill and the new bill and she had only taken off $2.90, so when went to the front I asked to speak to a manager she said she was the only one there long story short she thought I was going to pay for the fly pancakes well guess what I didn't she's lucky we paid for anything. So do go there the service is piss poor and the food is nasty. read more

We're townie and we're looking forward to trying out the newly reopened diner. We ducked under the low hanging sign to go in and we're greeted by the very friendly male host. We sat down in one of the first booths closest to the door. The blonde female waitress saw us and went back to taking care of her table. Then she left. A few minutes later another server came out. Went back in the kitchen. 5 minutes later a different server came out, chatted with his table-also saw us, left again. The other male server came back out-saw us sitting there, and went and fixed a drink. My husband got up to use the restroom. At this point 10/15 minutes had passed and it was clear no one wanted to wait on us. Were great tippers too BTW. Someone I can only assume is the manager is at the front with a server and we get up to leave. My husband says we're gonna go its clear you guys don't want to wait on us. No like please let's make this right. Just "sorry." Just gross behavior. You won't last long in this town if you treat the people who live here like crap. Look what happened to all the other diners. I'd probably try to do better. read more
