Now the bad: salmon was grey and extremely overcooked, boiled crawfish was black and quite off putting. As for deserts... blaaah, no flavor. But for the price, who can expect better. Generally when is going to a buffet, and sees the word "BUFFET" in the title of the restaurant one should turn and run away. Such is the case with the now-deceased "Dallas Super Buffet." So going into this place I wasn't expecting much. Nestled in a strip mall on the west side of my beloved own city-state, Addison, New New Buffet brings to the table food and LOTS OF IT! While most Chinese buffets have one or two rows of food available, New New Buffet has four long aisles of food including soups, various types of chicken and beef, crayfish, other seafood, faux sushi, two dessert bars, and a perfectly untouched fruit & vegetable bar. The food is plentiful, and switched out often, so there is little threat of encountering old dried-out food. I don't trust the seafood, of course I don't trust buffet seafood anyway. The restaurant was well-lit, the tables were clean, the server addressed me promptly and got me a seat. They made sure to keep my drink glass full. They're very polite, and deserve at least a small tip for their efforts. That being said there isn't really anything that would make me want to go back to this place. Their food isn't bad by any means, and it is the best out of all the strictly-buffet Chinese buffet places I've been to. There is no "WOW" factor. They don't branch out beyond the standard americanized stereotype dishes. Of course not many Chinese restaurants here do. Maybe I've been spoiled by the several other Asian cuisines I regularly eat like Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, and Korean. I frequent this place at least once every two weeks and it always satisfies my buffet cravings. It has a great variety on doesn't hold out on the crab at dinner which is actually quite tasteful coming from a buffet. There aren't many good buffets to choose from if you live in North Dallas so this is definitely a place to try if you live close by and don't want to bother traveling 45 min. You will find out the meaning of there name and be greeted with a warm smile when you walk through the door. These buffets are all the rage back home in MI so I was hoping this place would deliver. I was pretty happy with my experience here, anytime I leave a buffet and need a nap, Ive done my job. Very good service, if almost TOO attentive, and I like the price. Also not being from around here I dont really know anything about how they do shellfish around here. When I got to the area with the unshelled shrimp and crawfish I literally screamed. I get scared when my food looks back at me while I'm eating it. Went later in the day. Not something I would recommend. Most of the food containers were almost empty. The food in them was sticking to the bottom of the pans and hard as a rock. My husband and I decided to try our first Chinese buffet in Dallas area. I must admit it was not bad. By today being Sunday, the place was packed. This place has at least 30 plus items and it include Raw Oyster, Boiled shrimp and Snow crab legs. Most of items that we tried was pretty decent. My favorite is Salt and Pepper Shrimp. We ordered group lunch from NewNew for all staff at our son's daycare TWICE within in the past few months. Kevin (management) has been super prompt, accommodating and professional with all our questions and requests. Due to the pandemic, the conversation and transaction were done over text and phone calls, and Kevin was very helpful and transparent with his recommendations and what he can do for us. The delivery was punctual, portion was generous and everything was prepared very well and thoughtfully. Teachers and management were very, very happy with the quality and variety of the dishes, which was exactly what we were hoping for. We really want to show our appreciation for the daycare during this tough year, and NewNew really helped us convey that through excellent food and services! Let me preface my review by saying I'm not really a big fan of Chinese food buffets. Food that may or may not have been under a heat lamp for a few hours before doesn't really appeal to me. That being said, we headed down to New New with the in-laws for a Sunday dinner. The place is a little difficult to find, in a strip center located behind Humperdink's on Belt Line. If it weren't for the sign on the shopping center marquee I would have never found it. The atmosphere is very typical for a Chinese buffet place, nothing out of the ordinary. The food was well presented, no bunches of empty pans (don't you hate that when you want something and they never have it when you want it?) Dishes ranged from the simple staples (sweet and sour chicken, veggie egg rolls, etc.) to crab, kimche and a few other things that I thought might have been looking back at me, but wasn't going to find out. As far as the quality goes, all I have to say is that it was merely OK. Not overly impressed, but, it didn't make me sick or wish I'd never gone there. Everyone at our table seemed to like it, so I'll say it was generally positive. Will I go back? If I'm in the neighborhood, maybe. But it's not really something you'd go out f your way to visit when there's a ton of other Chinese buffets closer to where you live that are probably just as good. read more

Wish I could give 3.5 stars, for the price this place is not bad at all. Some meats were a bit chewy from sitting out, but many of the options did get refreshed while we were there. I personally really liked a few of the dishes and ate more than I care to admit. There was several seafood options but I don't eat seafood at buffets so can't comment. So we've now gone here 3 times, and I can say this buffet is solid. The chinese food is very very good (for buffet). The have a lot of seafood (for dinner at least) including a great tilapia dish, snow crab legs and steamed shrimp. And of course they have the usual chinese dishes - general tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, fried rice, soups, lo mein, etc. I haven't tried the Japenese food; it never looks great, but I always wonder why people think that a Chinese buffet would have good Japanese food.
