Fresh cuisine

It great. I love the food how they make, it's fresh and Chinese. New Moon is a great name to name the Chinese place because sound like lunar eclipses which is in March 13-14 2025 visible in Connecticut and the whole United States. I love this place and tastes so good. Very good place!!!

Chicken teriyaki

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant that I've been to in town. Super convenient to order online and always ready very quickly! The chicken teriyaki is delicious and flavorful along with the pork egg rolls and very generous portions of wonton soup. I can't speak for any of the entrees as I am a creature of habit and always get a bunch of appetizers but I look forward to trying them as well!

Pork lo mein

I was very skeptical ordering from this place after reading some of the comments. I decided to give it a try as it's the closest Chinese food place to where I'm staying. Oh boy! Am I pleasantly surprised. The food is hot and fresh, pork lo mein has a lot of pork in it. I will definitely be back

Quality food for sure! Everything was great and delivery was on time! The chicken on stick was my favorite! Way better than most places in New York!

I pass this place all the time. Decided to swing in for some take out and give it a try. Fresh food, fast and friendly service. All good things. The skins on the crab Rangoon's are nice and light which melts into the cream cheese scallion mixture inside. Very good. To date we've now had several meals here including G Tso and coconut chicken. The Fried rice is also very good. At this point I would not hesitate to order anything on the menu and be confident I'll be satisfied with the chefs results. Looking forward to tasting my way threw the menu. My new favorite for takeout in Naugy

Very good! My kids love it!,delivery on time!

Ordered for lunch. The food came accurate and hot and within 20 mins. My only complaint is that they didn't give me any utensils or napkins.

I was so pleasantly surprised from our first visit at Sakana that I had to make a return trip later…read morethe same week. It was a humble reminder that you don't need to go to a culinary destination to find good food. Cheshire Connecticut may not be known for its food scene, however, I found Sakana was a genuine diamond in the rough. My expectations were admittedly low going in. My level of skepticism is always high when I see the "Asian Bistro" moniker, as it is frequently used for restaurants to try to appeal to the masses at the expense of quality by having a "jack-of-all-trades" menu that lacks the technical intricacies and mastery required for specific dishes. Additionally, these establishments tend to follow a "cookie-cutter" menu and offer the same boring dishes you can find at every other Asian Bistro. Even when initially walking towards the restaurant, I had my doubts. The exterior of Sakana honestly looked more like a clinic than a restaurant. Once I saw the menu however, my skepticism shifted towards optimism. For a local bistro, they feature a surprisingly extensive wine and cocktail menu, including premium sake options. I was particularly impressed to find toro on the menu; although it's undoubtedly becoming more of a trend in Connecticut, I was nevertheless happy to see it offered at Sakana as well. Overall I liked their sushi selections and everything I ordered was well-prepared and tasted fresh. We ordered a chicken and broccoli for our daughter and found the chicken tender and broccoli perfectly cooked. That may not sound impressive to those reading, but you'll be surprised how many restaurants fail to execute this baseline dish correctly. The service, although pleasant, was probably the only "weak link" of our experiences here. The quality of service was noticeably inconsistent between our two visits, and they would benefit vastly from having a more reliable and experienced front-of-house team to match the execution coming from the kitchen and sushi bar. Despite this minor gripe, Sakana was a standout. As long as I'm in the area, they will definitely be among the top of my list of places to eat!

So friendly. Is the food exceptional? To me no, but my parents enjoy it. Tonight we started with crab rangoons. Pretty good. Sauce on the side not very exciting. A chili sauce would be better. I got a sushi roll with White tuna inside and cooked shrimp on top and wasabi mayo. I forget the name of the roll but it was better than the two times I've ordered takeout. Miso soup was also good. Their soup bowls are in the shape of a heart which is super cute. Dad got some sort of a mixed protein dish with brown sauce (had shrimp, chicken and beef). Mom got the chicken and garlic sauce. They both got fried rice on the side. I tried it and it was very bland. Dad also got a salad with his meal and the ginger dressing was not very good. Red coloring to it. Usually ginger dressing is more on the orange side. Dad also got the Malaysian chicken coconut soup to start and it could use a bit more flavor. Was a bit watery. Mom loved her sweet and sour soup. Nice that this place is 5 minutes away. Cheshire needs more restaurants. Def not my fav restaurant in town though. Food to me is just ok.

Stopped here a night when my usual dining spot was closed. I decided to purchase orange chicken…read morew/pork fried rice, crab ragoons, pan fried dumplings, and two shrimp eggrolls. The orange chicken was tasty, and the pork fried rice was good, tasted fresh. On the other hand, my three other options weren't the best. I had gotten the crab ragoons and they tasted horrid, you could taste the oil it was fried with, making me to believe they may be using the same oil to fry everything without proper oil changes. The pan fried dumplings tasted like it had been cooked all the way through, it didn't have a pleasant taste. The eggroll tasted dry and I couldn't even finish them. I'm not one to usually throw away food, but after eating have of the crab ragoons, and a poor attempt at trying to finish the dumplings, I had to throw them away. If I ever bought from here again, I'd only buy a Dinner Combo w/Pork Fried Rice. No way would I trust their appetizer/fried options again.

We loved our old places so tough to live up to them. Most stuff we had was decent/fair. The pan fried dumplings were excellent. The crab Rangoon was really bad - almost all crab, with minimal cream cheese. Definitely looking forward to checking out a few other items on the menu.

I had to call to see if they were still there. So I came on here to check the reviews, which werent good at all...but I was like, how can a place go so downhill so fast?! Well I should have listened! I was absolutely heartbroken by what was deliver to our house for dinner tonight ! We use to love their food. Spent 90 bucks for food that I wouldnt give animals to eat! We ordered chicken wings...use to be nice whole wings that you could tell came from a Chinese Restaurant...now 8 little overcooked half wing! The pupu platter....utterly awful! The chicken nuggets were salty, overcooked and so tiny,...the scallops..prefrozen little round things...when you bit into them...so sticky and nasty. The beef on a stick was laughable!! A little ol piece of beef that was towards the bottom of the stick...spring rolls...so over cooked they were greasy and like mush in the middle... the flavor of the eggrolls terrible.. and I love eggrolls! Im really sad over this...now I dont know where to even get decent Chinese Food around here anymore. I tried what is it, BlueMoon? At first they seemed good...but the last few times...ugh...My son said that he'll have to find a Chinese girl that can cook for us....I think he might be right!

Proving that it's the company as much as the location, a recent visit to Chiangmai Thai Restaurant…read morein Naugatuck was absolutely delightful given the lovely service from our waitress. One got the sense that the other diners that evening felt much the same way. It was a weeknight, and with a lower customer load than might be the case on a Friday or weekend, she had ample time to spend with each party, regaling us all with fun conversation. It goes without saying that the company in one's own party makes a whale of a difference, and in that regards I could not have asked for better. This is to take nothing away from the food, which was absolutely delicious, flavorful and mercifully not too spicy - our aging gastrointestinal systems are sadly just not up for the violent torment from a chilli assault like when we were younger, and felt invincible. The mango rice dessert - enough for two to split - was sublime. And the town of Naugy itself - for both of us an unknown quantity til that evening despite having whizzed past it a ton on Route 8, hammering down the famous Naugahyde River Valley - is intriguing. Naugatuck offers gorgeous and fascinating architecture from the last two centuries at least, evidence of thriving mill-driven industry in years past, very easy access from the highway, and lots of close on-street parking, at least on a Thursday evening. BYOB if you are that way inclined, as they don't have a liquor license. Will we be back to Chiangmai Thai? Abso-frikkin-lutely. I've you've already been, then go back again, and soon. If you haven't had the pleasure, get moving now and thank me later.
