When Glen came over to check everything out, he stormed into my house without saying hello with a scowl and then walked around stomping on the flooring with all of his weight. My boyfriend said if anyone ever treated him in his home like Glen treated me, he would've kicked him out. They also chipped a bathroom tile and then lied about it and refused to fix it. In fact they paint over the large chipped tile area in hopes I wouldn't have noticed it.

I provided him with a copy of the same letter he had previously prepared for the same location under the prior owner. The task required minimal effort: update the details and sign. Over the next two weeks, I followed up every 2-3 days and was repeatedly told the work was in progress -- "I'm working on it," "I'm coordinating with City Hall," "Give me one more day." These representations created the expectation that the task was being handled. On January 21st, after requesting to speak directly with Mr. Hernandez, I was informed by the receptionist that he no longer works at the firm and that I could be referred elsewhere. No notice was provided, no reassignment occurred, no work was delivered, and no accountability was offered. This caused unnecessary delay to my business licensing process and reflects a serious breakdown in communication, continuity of service, and professional responsibility. Consumers should exercise caution before engaging this firm.

Also, during one of the appointments she flat out asked me, "doesn't the store or designer you bought this from do alterations for free?" And for that particular designer piece...I did confirm that they do free alterations but they do not have a local storefront on the west coast and I'm not flying out to NYC just to do alterations at their flagship store. To me, that question was rude. If there was a store nearby, of course I would take advantage of a free alterations service but again, I'm not flying to NYC to alter a single item. Furthermore, I'm bringing my business to YOU. You would think a business owner would be grateful for business. When I reached out again today to set up an appointment, I was ultimately told she had decided not to accept me as a client because she was not comfortable working on expensive clothing. I appreciate the honesty and would rather someone be upfront than take on work they aren't comfortable with. However, I wish this had been communicated earlier, as it would have saved both of us time after multiple attempts to schedule additional work. If you have higher-end designer clothing, it may be worth asking in advance whether those types of garments are within their preferred scope of work. I think it's interesting though that she does wedding dresses which are significantly more expensive than the items I brought in. P.S. After I pointed out via text message that she has worked on alterations for wedding dresses, which are often significantly more expensive than the designer clothing I brought in, she replied, 'You are right, accept my apologies." 6/26/26 update - After Olga's response below I wanted to add this: Thank you for your response. However, I do want to clarify that the last item I requested included a simple hem and a slight waist adjustment on a pair of pants (they were not expensive by the way, I can show you the receipt). You allowed me to return a few times to your apartment where you do fittings with 3 separate items wasting gas, time, and effort only to turn me away each time. That request contributed to my confusion about the explanation I received. I wish this had been communicated more clearly from the beginning so I could have found another alterations specialist sooner.
