They came out and replaced the vent and associated shingles. Great fix! Now, 25 years after moving into this as a new house, I needed a new roof. I got two estimates, one from Marshall. Marshall's representative, Doug, was so thorough and professional in his reprensentation to me and offered a solution re moviing the attic exhaust fan closer to the eave and keeping the ridge vent. The other estimator suggested removing the ridge vent. I wasn't comfortable not having a ridge vent. I again went with Marshall. It was a two day job. They dedicated a more than sufficient crew to the job. The guys were so attentive to protecting against falling shingles as they were stripped from the roof. In short, they did an excellent job! I had absolutely nothing to be concerned about with Marshall's professionalism as a company. And, there cost was lower than my other bid. I only got two bids as my past experience with Marshall and with Doug's representation made it a no-brainer! If you need a roof, go with Marshall.

When he discovered a problem that was not foreseen by the estimator he had to run out to get a part but came back promptly and finished the job on schedule. Although this specific element was not included in the original estimate, Jose installed it without fuss and did not charge for the part or his extra labor. Where can you find that kind of responsibility these days? I would never call anyone but Marshall!

American Window undercut the estimates of the other two vendors by a substantial margin. We also really liked they only asked for a modest down payment. Jay was our sales contact at American Windows and he was absolutely great. He has an engaging personality, and kept all his commitments to us. We appreciated that when installation day came, he swung by to ensure all was going well. Oh, how did the installation go? It was fantastic. Not only did the windows and door come earlier than promised, the American Windows crew came on time and worked quickly and professionally. We were amazed that the whole job only took 4 1/2 hours to complete. The windows and door materials are high quality and we are very satisfied with the results.

He gave us repair ideas, explained potential causes, pointed us toward the right tools, and gave us contacts who could help. To top it off, his cuddly dog Wilson kept us company, and Phil even recommended a local spot for lunch since he knew we had a long drive. For over a year and a half, I made multiple attempts to resolve this issue with Deckman, but my communications were repeatedly ignored. As a result, I was left with an unpermitted and non-compliant deck. It was only after obtaining legal representation and sending a demand letter in January 2025 that Deckman finally completed the necessary requirements in March 2025--two years after the initial contract was signed. While I am satisfied with the finished deck and appreciate the efforts of the on-site Project Manager, the lack of responsiveness and failure to fulfill obligations made this an unnecessarily stressful and frustrating experience. I do not recommend Deckman at all.

With regards to the heating of our home, the windows were no better than screens. I reached out, looking for windows and installers. I had a few people come in and estimate the job. None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.

RESPONSIVENESS - very fast, very responsive, very professional. A tad too frequent, but apparently roof repair is a competitive business. INSPECTION - scheduled and conducted efficiently; exceptionally thorough inspection report (David). COST - in line with all other quotes, which are apparently driven by the insurance estimate. Green Oak differentiation included owner interaction, master roofer certification, 5 star rating, excellent warranty, professional documentation and workflow management. WORK - scheduled efficiently, material arrived on time the day before, crew arrived on time the day of, work was conscientious and completed in 3/4 day (townhome), clean-up (including loose nail hunt) was impressively thorough. AFTER - received certificate of completion in a timely manner, along with photo record of repaired roof. Not being a roofer, it's difficult to assess the integrity of the new roof & shingles, however the end result appears clean and professional. Suspect the new, high-quality roof will increase the townhome value and/or decrease time to sell based on the high-quality products used and overall curb appeal of the work. Overall quite satisfied with Green Oak. Recommend.

He recommended a roof "tune up" as part of the package without pushing or trying to upsell me for more, which i really appreciated. He also accommodated my inquiry of adding on the installation of a bathroom exhaust vent cap, which was missing when we moved in. After being extremely reasonable on pricing and lighting-fast on responses, they scheduled and completed the work the day after signing.
