Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value…read more Kearns Roofing, and Mike Nicely, in particular, so far exceeded any expectations that even my nitpicking, micro managing handyman father visiting from NJ was very impressed. From start to finish Mike facilitated the process and made sure it went without a hitch. Having never replaced a roof or worked with insurance to cover wind damage, I didn't know where to begin. Mike worked with the insurance adjuster and looked out for my interests at every turn. The team removed the old roof and installed a gorgeous new roof in one day! They cleaned up every last scrap and nail, and provided beautiful drone pictures of both the process and the end product. I requested commercial sized gutters with screens. They added flash barriers for points where the roof pitch could result in excess flow. My father has called twice to tell me how impressed he was with the workmanship, service and end result. Honestly, Kearns roofing and Mike Nicely were so good and efficient, I worried it was a scam and I was going to be stuck with a terrible bill. In the end, it cost me LESS than estimated because Mike did a great job working with the insurance company! He saved me thousands of dollars and the quality of work is exceptional. I could not be happier. Thank you, Kearns Roofing and especially Mike Nicely! You live up to your name.

My latest project was for multiple drywall and paint repairs in an older home. The painter showed up on time every day, worked diligently and explained everything to me. The cost was more than a handyman, but IMO it was definitely worth it to have the job done so well. Very professional company -- highly recommended by a repeat-customer.

Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.
