Honestly I didn't think Tracy needed another Indian Grocery store.. then I visited here. I wasn't fully prepared for not only how big this store is but the huge variety of products. They occupy the corner lot of this plaza so the store itself is large and crammed full of pretty much everything you need. Fresh produce, Dairy, an insane amount of Frozen breads, Rice, Sauces, Spices, Legumes and even a hot counter with Samosas ect. One thing I especially like about Indian Grocery stores is they tend to have a selection of British items too and here you will find an entire isle dedicated to Tea and Biscuits (American translation: Cookies. Except way better than any Nabisco / Keebler creation). Plus imported British Chocolate One thing I will say is don't expect a quick stop here because 1. There's so many items to browse and 2. It is very busy. Waiting in line at the Checkout for 20 minutes isn't uncommon. read more

Never go to this store. Multiple times now we've experienced items being billed twice and items added which were never purchased. The worst was when recently, we saw several expired items and reported to the cashier and then after we came home we noticed they had placed stickers to hide expiration dates on some items and icecreams expired in April 25 were still being sold in August 25 and we ended up buying it as we didn't notice it while at the store. I wanted to like this place because there aren't enough ethnic grocery stores in Tracy. Unfortunately, the only positive to me is they have a huge assortment of spices. Here are the bad: - check your receipts! I was charged a different price than the price labeled in the package. - aisles are just slightly big enough to fit the widths of 2 carts - the huge assortment of spices are extremely poorly organized. I must have spent 30 minutes looking for ground nutmeg. - flies hovering all over the produce - workers will not step out of your way if you're trying to get through the narrow aisles, but they'll pull pallets through and you better clear the aisle. We live thirty minutes away from this store and only go there about once a month when we go to the Afghan Market next door for the good bread they bake in store. Then we found this store which had very good prices for the produce. On Saturday we bought a lot of stuff, including a cardboard basket of grapes. We needed other stuff and that was when I realized that many things (especially behind the cooler doors) didn't have prices. So I ended up buying a dozen eggs for a very high price. Anyway, we go straight home and the grapes went straight into the fridge. The next day I go to serve some of them and realized that the top layer was nice and the rest - purposely hidden underneath - was completely rotten. Moldy! Too far to return them. So if you shop there, which I may not do again, be very careful and check everything. I didn't expect to see anything like this in an American store. read more

Just want to share my experience. I have been in Bay Area for over 20 years and I must say this is is the best Indian super market I have been to. Variety of brands to choose from. Clean and well stocked . Vegetables are always fresh and reasonably priced . Want to a give big shout out to the staff - Gargi, Harleen and Aman . I would give it a zero star if allowed. The worst customer service. The employees can't communicate in English and when you ask for management, they said they are not available. When I tried to discuss my issues she hung up on me 3 times because she couldn't communicate. I was excited to see a large store like this open in Tracy. Decent product selection. Service is HORRIBLE! The cashiers are rude, unfriendly and basic courtesy. After my first experience I decided not up give my hard earned money to o this establishment. About a month later decided to give them a second try because I was not in the mood to drive to Pleasanton. Encountered same horrible service. The woman ringing my items was literally throwing my food items around and threw items on the floor several times. They act like they are doing you a favor taking your money. Don't give this establishment business, instead go to one of several small family owned Indian stores in Tracy. I would rather go to one of those stores then this one again. Update: have given this store a few more chances since my last reviews it's only gotten worse: I think their goal is to sell literally anything they can fit in the store. It smells like dead animal inside the store and I'm 100% sure not single staff member bathes. How I know this, you may ask? You can smell them from ten feet away and it makes you want to choke on your own vomit because your vomit would smell better then some of their workers. This is my last six months of experience at the new India Supermarket. I usually buy groceries in bulk (boxes), especially tomatoes and Indian okra. 1. Tomato per lbs 50c or 60cents. One box weighs around 25lbs, and the cost should be approximately $12.50. For some reason, every time, they charge me 25$. This time I caught them and asked if you were overcharging. The owner said, " We picked up the wrong tomato box for you. The one you are talking about, round tomatos, They are on sale". First of all, none of the tomatoes were on sale. On the top of it, Guess what, when they exchange the box. The top layer was tomato was fine. The remaining tomatoes had either fungus, rotten, or badly squeezed. 2. Indian okra box cost me 45$. The only first layer was fine. The rest of the okra was also rotten or had fungus on it. 3. I am not sharing the flour beetle experience from Reserve rice. Because its not their fault. I blame that on the supplier. So long story short, biweekly, I was scammed for 70$z All I see myself every anytime I go to this store, I get scammed. I should get what I paid. They are not doing any charity for me. There is no transparency. I do not trust this Indian store market management at Tracy CA. I intend to let the store owners aware. They should have some credibility and make shoppers aware when you pick up stuff by yourself. There is no point in trusting store employee or mananger. read more

I've given this place a few chances, but it's always a let down. The shelf price and the price they ring up are always different, and sometimes they even add extra produce items that I didn't even purchase to my total. This is what we East Indians were expecting one day to happen. It is a very nice clean large Indian supermarket. The owners are very very humble and kind but at the same time good business men and they have good business practices. We get every thing and the prices are very reasonable and every vegetable is very fresh and all East Indian groceries and American Groceries as well are kept very clean. And orderly. Love the facility and it is so near and we don't have to drive all the way to Pleasanton or Dublin We can give the business to our own town and to our own local stores. read more

Finally had to drop a review for the bossy bindu. I go there often because it's convenient being close to my home. I see her bullying rest of the staff but today was little extra. I went there to get an eggless cake and was waiting patiently on my server (extremely sweet and petite young girl wearing orange T and khakee pants) not sure of the name. She told me she'll be right with me and was working with another customer. Next it was my turn. Bindu on the next register starts shouting finish your next customer while she's helping me get the cake. I wish she can mind her own business or atleast make an effort to listen to your coworker because she was telling her I was next. She kept on going on how good she is taking care of all the work when she has no help while all the customers were around. Please pay doube/triple attention to the expiry date on items you buy 2.
