its cheap ... but so its ur hairut ... maybe it depends on who cut ur hair in this salon but the one who cut my hair ( she has short hair with blond highlights..) was really disappointing;( cant explain how weird it looks, ... she didnt know what she is doin i guess... never again...! hope other have better experience here...good luck! read more

I was looking at my old place in Glendale and didn't like it how customer had changed . so I ended up looking and found new image cuts in San Fernando Rd. and can I tell you what a wonderful place to go to !!not flashy ,not overcompensating with decorations it was the customer service . I used to get haircuts here when I lived in Glendale for years, left for 2 1/2 years and came back and these ladies still got it! I took my boyfriend who used to spend $30 plus for his hair, his comment was this was the best haircut I've ever had. Now he's a regular and we usually go in every other month.. Worth a try! Just because it cost $10 for a lousy haircut doesn't mean it should only take 3 minutes. The establishment has mostly Armenian girls so it is challenging to communicate exactly what you want in English. The hair cutters do such poor jobs cutting hair to the point you wonder why you even bother wasting $10 here. They just want to make quick $10's as much as they can within given time and leave customers looking like crap. Avoid this filthy cheap hair salon if you don't want to regret later. These Armenian hair cutters have no skills at all. Just cut your own hair if you are thinking about coming. read more

This salon is one of the best places to get a haircut. Not only is it affordable but the friendly staff makes you feel very comfortable and make sure you leave the place happy and satisfied. The Manager always make sure your requests are taken care of and you're able to get the haircut you want in a timely manner. Wow! Talk about getting treated VIP style! The lady in the front is super, super nice! I've been getting my haircut here for years and every time I walk in here, I'm guaranteed a fresh, perfect cut. Don't let the waiting area fool you, maximum I have ever waited is 5 mins. These ladies really know what they're doing... As picky as i am with my hair, I didn't have to tell my regular lady how I want my cut after the second or third time I came here. They really appreciate you! I took my grandma in for a haircut on a Sunday, since they were one of the only places open. The receptionist was great, and the hairdresser that cut her hair was so friendly and did a fantastic job. I brought my son here for his first cut and we had a great experience. Right away we were greeted by the employees and they were engaged and interactive with my son, which made it so fun for him! I love this place, the cuts and hair color is a great price! It's a total hidden Gem! The colorist there used great hair dye on my hair and it didn't feel dry or cracky! I have really thin and fine hair so when I color it at other salons they usually burn my hair or force their ideas...I didn't have the same experience here at all! The owner and her whole staff are dolls ! From the moment I called to see if they were by appointment only, the owner answered and was so sweet telling me they were walk ins only. I arrived on a Friday night and didn't wait one minute ! These women are so genuinely nice and my stylist was amazing. I have very long hair and I am usually very nervous when I get it cut, but she took care of me and was very thorough making sure everything was cut evenly. I got here just as the owner was turning off the lights... she was so kind as to take me in. I was referred to New Image Cuts by my sister in law who swears by them. The energy was great from the moment I stepped in. I believe the lady's name was Lida. I asked for a trim and was pleasantly surprised when I was told it would cost $10!! After reading the great review on Yelp of other customer's who were satisfied with this salon. I decided to give them a try as to see how good they actually are. I strolled into the salon at 9:30am this morning, and walked in to a friendly & warm greeting of "Good morning! How are you?" They said it was going to be a 5 minute wait. As I waited, no matter how busy the other staff were, the other customers that walked in, they all said "Good morning (so and so)". This place gets long time customers that they even knew their names! Wow! I was sold after one of the ladies cut my hair. I said to myself, why would I need to drive all the way out to LA to get an $8 haircut, when I can get the same price haircut, closer to home! Although I'm reviewing after only going here once, but from the satisfaction of the other customers as they left, while I waited my turn. I could already sense a really great atmosphere for this place. Especially their slogan, (I forgot if this is word for word) but what I remember was a light blue-ish neon sign on the back of their wall that read, "When you look good, we look good!" BAM! That right there says it all! Perfection! I would & have already recommended my other friends who pay more than $8 for a haircut, to try this place out. My haircut is really simple, 2 on the top, 0 on the sides & back. But I'm sure these ladies are trained and licensed to go from the very basic haircut to the very advanced haircut. read more

this place is good for a quick haircut. I wish my experience was better but I went in and asked for a trim (1/2 in.) and a few more layers. Easy. First off she kept talking about how damaged my hair was. Which I knew about. I process it a lot. Second, she proceeds to chop off my hair and didn't ask me how I parted my hair, which affects the end look. At the end, she parts my front part to the right, which I like parting my hair in the center, and dry that. And only that part of my hair. Not to mention, she didn't put any protection in my hair before blow drying it! I end up with a mullet, when I part my hair in the middle, and half my head still wet! As a "no fuss" kind of guy, this is the perfect place for me. $8 for the same $25 cut I used to get in the West Valley? Hellz yeah! I'm in! It seems that New Image has a regular "walk-in" clientele. It's pretty much, first-come-first-served with next available hair dresser. It took me about 3-4 visits to finally get in Carmen's chair. My first visit with her, she cut my hair exactly as specified...and without hesitation, I could say, "even better than some high priced salons" that I've visited. I'll usually walk in, let the front desk know that I'm "waiting" for Carmen & take a seat. You CAN request your hair dresser, but there's always that chance that others before you are waiting for that same person. So if you're on a time constraint, take the first available. They're all more than qualified to give you the cut you ask for. New Image is a no frills in-n-out hair salon, perfectly geared for guys looking for an old school barber haircut. Don't get me wrong here ladies, this ISN'T just for guys, I see women in here all the time getting' their "hair did". Parking during peak hours is quite the hassle as the lot shares the 20 or so spots with a 7-11, a fast food Chinese joint, a Subway & what looks to me like a money laundering check cashing/loan shark place. I ended up moving and had to go get a haircut and ended up going here because my mom also goes here. Elizabeth is the one my mom usually goes to for anything. Haircuts, dye or getting her eyebrows done and its always done with excellent care. I came in for a haircut and to have my hair colored about 3 weeks ago. The color that I came in for didn't come out right because my hair needed to be bleached again. I paid $50 for the cut and the color. Because the color didn't come out right, the owner, Lida, told me that I should come back because I was not completely satisfied. Her and the other sylist that cut and colored my hair were so kind and insightful in educating me as to why the color didn't take. I came back and they took excellent care of me to fix the problem and they took time to talk to me about me, themselves and the salon. They were extremely kind and friendly and made sure that I would not leave until I was completely happy with my hair. So they re-colored my hair and asked me if I was happy with it and I was! The sylists and owner are all kind and friendly. I highly, highly, highly kind and want to make sure I was happy and got what I wanted. On top of that, they didn't charge me like other places would! I want to recommend this salon for anyone who has ever had a bad experience at any other salon because you will get what you want here and they don't treat you like a customer, they treat you like family. Went in for a trim on a Tuesday around 2:45. I don't know the name of the woman who cut my hair but she did a good job. She asked me what I wanted and delivered. I only wanted 1/4 inch off and she did just that. It turned out evenly. Can't believe it only cost $8. Shampoo and blow dry not included. read more

If you wanted a quick, cheap haircut in the past, then this place would do the job. Not the best haircut, but you wouldn't go home dissatisfied either. I can't say the same anymore. After years of searching for a decent hair salon, my journey is finally over. I finally found a salon where the staff is friendly, experienced, and most importantly, the stylists actually listen to how you want your haircut. This salon actually made my haircut a fun experience and it only costs me $8 bucks. I went in last friday for a haircut, expected to wait a while since usually all salons are busy on fridays due to the weekend but this salon was great. I was kindly greeted, waited a few minutes and was able to get my haircut with great results. The lady that helped me was the last seat on the right side and she was great, She was patient and listened to my requests, yes I admit I am a bit picky. We chatted and time flew by and I was quickly done. Another important aspect was that the place was very clean. I'm used to going into salons that have no cleaning crew because theres always hair on the floors and on my seat etc. Parking looks tight but the 7-11 causes people to pop in and out so a one minute wait will get you a parking spot, worst case. Finally a salon I can count on.... I recommend getting a shampoo wash after your haircut. read more
