My wife and I were visiting and were happy to see an AYCE sushi place nearby. We were even more excited about all the good reviews. Needless to say, this place didn't come close to living up to expectations. The food was barely edible. Sushi rolls were 80% rice and the fish was suspect. We ordered green curry and the chicken wasn't edible. Service was ok, but the server could at least have worn deodorant. We will never come back to this place. read more

Taste was cheap like mall food court food. The sauce is from a bottle with MSG in it. The waitress actually told me that. Most of their sauces are cheap, premade junk with MSG. The egg rolls and fried rice are from frozen package. You can taste that cardboard frozen taste. I wish I could get a refund for the food and then be paid to have eaten that crap. We went to New Ginger last night and this place is GREAT! They have a HUGE menu of all types of Asian food and we had Chinese, Japanese, And Thai food in one sitting and every bite was outstanding. The service was spot on and very friendly. To my GB friends, we always complain that there are no good restaurants in our neighborhood bit now there is! The Green Curry is excellent!! Everything else we have had has just been ok. Nothing special but also not bad at all. Just ok.

Clean dinning room and very friendly staff. No wait and food was served in a timely manner with good presentation. We, my family and myself, were very disappointed with the lack of flavor in almost every dish. We tried the seaweed salad, Calamari, miso soup, cucumber salad, fried dumplings, spring rolls, California roll, shrimp tempura roll, new ginger roll, crazy roll, American dream roll, and the spicy tuna roll. The only dish that was actually reviewed as good was the spring rolls (and non of us have covid-19 and have full function of our taste buds). The food was not bad, but lacking flavor. You could taste the fried flavor in the food but not the sushi itself. We will not be returning and will stick to other restaurants for sushi. read more

We ate here about 3 years ago. It was fabulous. Tonights dinner was awful. I ordered the bento box. Chicken, tenpra shrimp and vegetables. The chicken was awful. It was like eating rubber. The shrimp was not any type of tempta i have eaten. It was like a cornmeal batter. Awful. The only thing I ate was rice and miso. We wont he back. read more

We order to go from here often. We have been super happy with the food quality and our order has been correct every time. The atmosphere is nice. More upscale than fast food. Service was excellent. Our waitress was fast, accurate, and pleasant. I have never been to a sushi restaurant that was made to order and all you can eat. Great idea. They have an order menu with variety and good prices. They also have an all you can eat menu with sushi, rolls, soups, salads, and many entree dishes on it. The portions are small, but being all you can eat, we tried a lot of things. The food was very good, some dishes were excellent. We loved being able to try lots if different things without it being a buffet. Unique idea, nice place. Our last night in Gulf Breeze on vacation, and let's just say the food was horrible tasting. I'm not sure if it's because I am used to a more traditional Chinese food, but I could not eat my meal. The fried wonton strips for soup were not classic; They were more like hard oyster-type strip crackers. I would not recommend this establishment. The staff was wonderful. The food, not so much. Cucumber salad didn't have much flavor, wonton soup was off pudding , broth was yellow and wonton dough had an odd flavor. Sushi rice on sushi was wrong, the grains of rice were smushed. It made the texture while chewing become almost gummy like. I attended New Ginger with my friends last night. The food was delicious. I especially loved the fried oysters, they pretty much melted in my mouth. We moved to Gulf Breeze 6 years ago. When we first moved here, the food was a little inconsistent but for the last 4 solid years, New Ginger (formerly Horizon) scores a 10/10 for great food and outstanding customer service. The menu has so much variety and it's all good! Some of our favorites are the American Dream roll, beef and broccoli, the bento box, shrimp fried rice, and roast pork egg rolls. The order is always correct in spite of my numerous special requests. The sweet delivery lady always has a smile and treats for our dogs which is just an extra special touch. Sadly, we are moving away but New Ginger tops the list of things we will miss most about Gulf Breeze. read more

I've been there twice The good, Good sushi Good soups Restaurant appears clean The bad Meals are way too sweet The hostess and several of the waitresses are so tattooed and unkempt looking its off putting. Dirty appetizer dishes just left on the table while you eat Entree timing was Awful! Party of 4 and 5 to 8 minutes between each entree. Go, go, go! Chinese, Japanese and Thai Fusion! Welcoming and friendly with a sophisticated decor and pleasant half booth seating. Even the chairs facing the booths were upholstered and comfy! You immediately realize they put a lot into creating an appealing atmosphere. And let's talk about the food! Lunch was Superb! and very reasonable prices! I had the Seafood Pot which was lobster, scallops and shrimp with vegetables in a rich red curry! The curry is addictive!! The owner also happens to be the Sushi Chef who is standing by throughout lunchtime! Sorry Chef I will be back soon to try the sushi - the sushi menu is dazzling!! Today was our first visit and the food and servers were amazing. However, the female owner verbally abuses her staff in front of customers. She was on her personal pink cell phone when we arrived and continued her conversation for several minutes before seating is. I felt so sorry for one of the servers that i spoke to her about not having to be treated like that. It was visibly bothering other customers. Very sad. I hope that this owner hires someone with people skills to manage her staff. read more

We regularly utilize them for delivery and they are always friendly, prompt, and rarely have we had errors on our large orders, and we order multiple times per month. Overall this is a great Chinese spot! I've had sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, chicken with garlic sauce, and the beef yaki udon and all were delicious. Lunch special portions are perfect and they come with fried rice or you can upgrade to lo mein for a bit more. The dumplings and spring rolls are pretty good too just not my favorite. A couple things I've had that I wouldn't recommend are the yaki soba (too dry and bland for my taste) and any type of sushi. I have had many of the rolls and they're just not up to par with many other area sushi restaurants. If you're in the market for solid Chinese food this is a great place. I will continue to go back and try new things since the menu is huge. read more
