If you're a fan of all-you-can-eat sushi, this wouldn't be my first recommendation. I'd only come back here if I was in a pinch. The sushi itself was slightly above average, but they went heavy on the rice, which took away from the overall flavor. The ambiance was fine--nothing particularly memorable but the staff was a little mixed in seeming wanting us to stay or leave since i ordered so much. The dumplings were a pleasant surprise, though the ginger had an odd taste that threw me off a bit.

It was a rainy day in Navarre, FL, so my husband I decided to go out for lunch. We found out about New Ginger on Yelp, and I'm so glad we did. When we arrived, we were seated immediately despite a huge party in the back. Our waitress was funny and personable and could really give suggestions because she knew the menu backwards and forwards. I decided on the Thai Ginger. Chicken was an option, but I decided to go with only veggies. The ginger sauce was amazing and I had enough food left over for lunch the next day. I also tried the hot and sour soup. The recipe was very different than what I was used to. It was interesting but I probably not order it again.

I didn't realize I was traveling so far for my pickup (thought it was in Gulf Breeze), but I went anyway. Great service, but food needs some serious work. I got the sesame chicken, egg drop with wonton soup and pork eggroll. Everything was bland. They serve the fried wonton strips with their soup. Love that! Fairly inexpensive from what I am used to. All of the staff were American, and being from Houston, that's new for me with Chinese restaurants. I've never had Chinese food like this. No, no, no.

What a gem! I wasn't sure what to expect from the range of reviews on Yelp but I can say that I'm happy that I gave it a chance. I didn't eat in but will say the customer service I got was still ideal. The meal I ordered was the Bento Box chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura & shumai, with the American Dream sushi roll, and an order of steamed dumplings. The Bento box came with more then I expected, plenty enough to split between two people. Included with the box is a choice of miso soup or ginger salad. I opted for the salad. In the box was a large helping of white rice, two long tempura shrimp, tempura broccoli, tempura sweet potatoe, tempura squash, and the chicken breast covered in teriyaki sauce. And I think some tempura tofu, which isn't my cup of tea, so i wasn't trying to find out. All and all, everything tasted good. The included sauce with the tempura vegetables and shrimp was a nice adage. The American Dream sushi roll was a little bit of crunchy with salty and sweet taste pair together. Definitely a treat by itself. The steamed dumplings were perfectly cook. It came with a sweet dipping sauce. No complaints with it. For the price and amount of food you get, this will be one that I keep on the list of places to come when in the mood for Asian cuisine.

We have enjoyed this establishment before but never on Christmas Day. The food is generous and delicious with sauces that complement the food. Our server, Emma, was very impressive and was attentive to our needs, always with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality. We will most definitely continue to support this local company.

This place had almost 5 star rating with 8 reviews which was what brought us here. Service was excellent and friendly. We were here around 1:30-2 and there were a few others seated eating. They have an extensive menu and we only tried one app, 2 main and 2 desserts so based on just that we give an average 3 stars for everything. We are staying on Okaloosa Island, Ft Walton Beach and have discovered several very good Thai restaurants around this area we have had the pleasure of eating at.

Here is the completed review with your additional details incorporated:…read more I recently visited **Kalbi Ichiban** in Pensacola, Florida, located in the area of town where I grew up. It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent. It had great flavor, was well prepared, and was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was good, although nothing about it particularly stood out. The Bulgogi was tender and very flavorful, but it was wetter than traditional Bulgogi. Authentic Bulgogi is normally much drier, with the marinade cooked into the meat rather than leaving it with a gravy-like consistency. Even with that difference, the flavor was enjoyable. The kimchi was also very good and added the right touch to the meal. Interestingly, the hot and sour soup was spicier than the kimchi. However, different regions of Korea prepare kimchi in different ways, so the level of heat and flavor can vary considerably. Overall, I was pleased with the meal and would rate the food **8.5 out of 10**. After adding a couple of cocktails, I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was. I would rate the restaurant **two dollar signs out of five for price**, making it a good value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Kalbi Ichiban may not serve Bulgogi exactly as I remember it from Korea, but it delivered a flavorful and satisfying meal. Combined with Carson's excellent service, the inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, it was an enjoyable dining experience and a restaurant I would visit again.
