A hidden gem of a find just outside downtown. Dharma Blue is also a regularly visited spot for the locals. My favorite thing about Pensacola is the readily available fresh seafood. I'm in heaven every time I'm here. Please note you have to call to make reservations. We booked a late reservation out on the front patio. The neighborhood is quite charming. I enjoyed one of the signature cocktails and watched the world go by. The wine and cocktail list are well curated pairing well with a sushi date or the seafood menu. Thomas was our server for the evening. He was professional and friendly. He made excellent suggestions which made for an enjoyable experience. Dharma offers an extensive sushi menu. They have the standard fare along with some specialty rolls. The standard sushi appetizers including miso soup and edamame, along with ginger salad and seaweed salad. The appetizer list is an eclectic mix of delicious dishes. We opted for the pork belly and this was quite possibly the most interesting interpretation I've ever had. Rich tender pork belly served in a ginger coconut sauce. It was absolutely delicious. For mains the catch of the day was Cobia. This was my first time eating this particular fish. I went with the semolina crusted with basmati rice and creamed spinach. The fish was meaty, flaky, and tender. The rice had an essence of coconut and the spinach was perfectly cooked. The cheeseburger was also very good. A thick juicy patty on a hearty brioche bun. The meal was lovely, the service warm and hospitable, and the ambiance was relaxing. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect summer evening. read more

Wonderful restaurant in a nice part of Pensacola, highly recommend. The sushi was all very high quality, though we did not try the other dinner menu. Highly recommend the key lime pie for dessert. I will say the service was a little slow, I chalk this up to how busy the restaurant is during dinner time. Our waitress was very polite and attentive when she did make her rounds read more

Chuck's Fish's sister restaurant found in Pensacola! Located in an old home with authentic flooring and chandeliers scattered across the ceiling. It's cozy and warm, perfect for a date night! We tried the Panhandle, Tiger, and Destin rolls! All so good, but wish we could've tried more. A great spot to get your sushi fix (plus, pickup some cute merch!) read more

We came here for Valentines dinner and had a great time! Our server was great and we were lucky to be seated on the porch. Cocktails, appetizer, entrees, and dessert were all good! I can't wait to come back to try the sushi next. Street parking is super easy to find and the area is so cute to walk around. read more

amazing experience! the restaurant was very cozy, waitress had a great attitude, and it was some of the best sushi i've had.

This place is always great. Consistently good sushi in a fun old building. It can get loud inside, but it's the price to pay for its location and service read more

Great place! Love the service, drinks and the sushi. Only negative was the guy with heavy piercings at the sushi bar playing/messing with his piercings while he's making our sushi. In addition to him snorting mucus. Only happened our recent visit but hesitant to return unless this is taken care of. read more

Arrived on a Tuesday at 5pm when the restaurant opens. Sat at the bar where I was greeted by a bartender who obviously knew what she was doing. The mule I ordered was perfectly made. This place is very cute, comfy, and homey. Great place to chill out and have a nice meal. I just wish the food was not so disappointing considering it is a bit pricey. At a lower price point, I might be more forgiving. I had a small salad that consisted of merely greens, sliced almonds, and mandarin oranges. The fish special was good, but nothing special. I wasted calories on the key lime pie that was, again, ok but nothing special. Within 45 minutes the place was packed so be sure to make a reservation. However, I agree with another reviewer who said the food at Lucy's across the street is better. read more

Great service, ambience (it's cute inside but we sat outside since it was nice which was lovely), and food! Started with a sushi roll that was fabulous and had salads with one of the fresh local options and shrimp. Their dressings are really well done, and the fish is phenomenal. Absolutely recommend and will be back. read more

Fabulous grilled cobia, sushi and tuna poke with an excellent Spanish albarino...matched by great service as always

Best sushi I've had so far. Super fresh. A little pricey but always worth it. I love their bruschetta appetizer as well. And the pineapple jalapeno margarita is FIRE. love it. read more

We arrived about 25 minutes after opening, and didn't realize this is the kind of place where reservations are typically necessary to get a table. I've worked in hospitality and always try to be considerate of staff in a restaurant and go with whatever option works best for the functionality and flow of the establishment! The hostess as soon as we came in began looking for a place to seat us. Initially we wanted to sit outside, but they were already reserved in advance-the hostess was incredibly accommodating and so kind, we got a comfortable booth/table seat and began taking in the space. It's an eclectic restaurant, so much art and unique characteristics throughout and is truly such a beautiful space. The hostess brought my kids some coloring sheets and crayons, made small talk while waiting for reservations to show, she was so kind to us and made us feel so welcome. The menu is so straight forward and clean, something we really love as we have a neurodivergent child! We went with the sushi menu, and every item we ordered was delicious, from the rolls, to the salads and miso soup-we come from a Japanese background and the sushi was excellent. So fresh, made very well and with much care. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and also so welcoming to us! The desert (key lime pie and crème brûlée) was so, so delicious and finished off our experience wonderfully. Not too sweet, very balanced and the fresh fruit was perfect! As we left, the hostess made a point to say good bye to us and gave a very genuine smile. We are already talking about plans to come back-this time with a reservation-and we loved, loved, LOVED our experience! read more

Food was good but a little pricey. The rolls are big but some rolls were up to $24 and I just don't think that they need to charge that. Especially when there are other great sushi places that are similar rolls hitting around $17. Also dessert was $10... probably $6 at best. Cocktails were good priced around $13 and up. Miso soup $6... seaweed salad $10... It was nice to try once but I'm not sure I'd go back unless it's for a weekly special. Service was the best part!! Also the inside was small but cute. For 2 ppl we spent well over $130. I'd definitely recommend making a reso on a Friday night. It was very busy. read more

Craving sushi and had never been here so had to try it! Started out with the smoked tuna dip and some cocktails. Very refreshing and delicious! We each got a few different sushi rolls. They were good. Not the best sushi I've ever had (I've had a lot of sushi) but pretty good sushi. We didn't make a reservation and had to sit outside in the middle of august which was less than ideal... so make a reservation ppl!! read more

My wife and I stopped in with friends last night, Thursday, for dinner at approximately 6 PM. We were happy to see that the place was not fully packed. That said, however, it was much fuller when we left after 8 PM. We open with adult beverages and their bruschetta. Must say that they do know how to make wonderful cocktails there and the bruschetta was huge And delicious! For our meals, my wife went for their steak while I decided on getting a couple of their rolls. All the meals were absolutely perfectly presented and delicious! Our waitress was professional, helpful, and friendly. Only our second time visiting, but we know why they're always so busy! Great place to stop! read more

Had the miso soup and tuna dip for app's, they were great. DELICIOUS sushi. Staff was very nice and we got seated quickly. Sat outside and it was beautiful and quiet out. Sushi took a little while to come out considering the restaurant wasn't packed but it was worth it. The Big papi was my favorite, then the panhandle, then spicy tuna. Would definitely eat here again. read more

Located in one of Pensacola's historic districts, I was really excited to go. Arriving inside, the decor is a mix of blues and a hodgepodge of pictures, mirrors, etc. with a bustling staff. I was seated quickly, but the service was slow - very slow. I ordered two sushi rolls, which took over 25 minutes to receive. I was very disappointed as the rolls had zero creativity in plating, and the cold rolls - being more room-temp than cool or cold, which sushi should be served at, as a standard. Street parking is available, and seating is a little tight in certain areas. It was comforting to see that the hostess was fastidious with her Covid precautions - mask with frequent antibacterial cleansing. I really wanted to like Dharma Blue, but for sushi, I cannot recommend. read more

Love the sushi and the fried green tomatoes cute little spot walk down while you're there. Great drinks.

Not sure what the deal is with this place.. mediocre at best. Staff was borderline rude/evotistical which I do not care for at all, I had the Caesar salad and thank goodness I did. if you're visiting Pensacola save yourself the arrogance of this place and go to George or even Lucy's on the Square. much friendlier staff and bettter tasting food! read more

Always wonderful service and the sushi and dessert is to die for. Last time I was at the bar, Hannah was amazing!

Avoid the smoked tuna app, it tastes like store bought canned tuna with too much mayo. Crab cakes were no better than red lobster quality and I made the mistake of getting some wilted spinach and black eyed pea side that did not complement the crab cakes whatsoever. My son got sushi and I was not impressed, I took one bite and did not want more. Not sure about their other stuff but I won't be going back. read more

We tried for the Monday special ($2 off rolls when you dine in) and were not disappointed! The rolls are a tad more expensive than most places in the area but they are very unique and delicious. I recommend trying the sunset roll - so different! The drinks were great too - they have a huge "mule" menu. The restaurant itself is in an adorable, walkable little area full of historic homes. My only recommendation would be that they play some soft music inside or outside as it was very quiet. But that may be an ordinance for the area because we noticed that most restaurants nearby didn't have music. read more

Absolutely fabulous. This place was packed and I can see why. A little disappointed to hear there was over an hour wait to order sushi and the service was a bit slow but everything from the drinks to the food was top notch. The bruschetta was amazing and even the Dharma starter salad was good. We had shrimp, the swordfish and the crab cakes and everyone was thoroughly happy with their mains and sides. You can tell this is a neighborhood gem. We'll be back. read more

Decent food that took a long time to come out. Server was very friendly though. Started with the calamari and bruschetta, both of which were really tasty. The sushi itself was quite mid. Cheeseburger was juicy, indeed classic. Overall vibe was chill, interesting art of the wall to look at. read more

You know those meals you can't stop thinking about even hours after? Yeah. The TNT roll was honestly one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had! And I'm very picky about my sushi. Got a few rolls and a sashimi plate after hearing solid reviews for this place. I was very pleased with the presentation and the ambiance of the restaurant. The interior was very beautiful and definitely fitting of its unique name. Onto the food. Let me tell you. The fish was FRESH. I come from a place where fresh fish is a bit hard to come by, so this was an absolute treat. I wouldn't say any particular rolls or cuts stood out to me, but they were extremely good. It was simple, but simple is not a bad thing at all. What Dharma Blue does, they do well. Cheers. read more

Pros - Liz was the best server ever. She made our table very happy. Great personality and service. The sushi was quite delicious. I enjoyed every bite. I think the TNT was my favorite. The table also like the Backdown. The desserts. Best key lime pie I've ever had. Best bread pudding I've ever had. I could never not order dessert here, having tasted them. My girls keep begging to make bread pudding now, though I know it will barely qualify as a pale imitation. Cons - sushi took an hour after ordering at 7:15 on a Thursday. Looked like just 2 sushi chefs for the restaurant. The prices in the restaurant are $2-3 more per roll than listed online. I've included a picture for your convenience. For the prices, the rolls could have been bigger. The basic tuna and California rolls were pretty skimpy for $11+. read more

THE SUSHI HERE IS PHENOMENAL! We have several places that offer AYCE sushi and I would choose DB. EVERY. TIME. over those places!! The dessert menu could use some updating but everything else is absolutely wonderful. It was our first time dining outside and it was actually pleasant. Not too many bugs for Florida in June. It was cooler in the inside so I definitely recommend a sweater. I'm so thankful this is a staple for the downtown area. This restaurant is a perfect place for any occasion. Ask for Hannah, she delivered phenomenal service. Can't wait to try their special on Monday's! $2 off sushi rolls! read more

Well here's another hidden gem here in Pensacola I'd say. I was definitely looking for a good sea/sushi place and this one was amazing!! I had the Dharma salad to start and it was simple but very tasty, then I had the chiefs special that was Mahi Mahi with pork belly black eyed peas and a crawfish gravy . Highly recommend this if it's on the menu then my friend had the crunchy shrimp roll and the surf n turf roll. Everything was very delicious! The service was spot on very friendly and helpful on all our questions and also attentive we didn't have to ask for any drink refills! The ambiance was hip but laid back very cool spot to have a nice dinner and drinks. I also had a Jack n Coke that could of used a little more Jack but still wasn't bad at all. read more
