Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. Everyone's food was very good and arrived together. Second experience was fairly bad. Our entrees were delivered FIVE minutes apart...there were four of us. This is unacceptable. And the waitress brought togo boxes before my youngest daughter's meal was delivered. Needless to say the waitress's and chef's timing put a huge damper on our outing. Then there's the food. First visit, my Tom yum soup was great! Full of big juicy shrimp and flavors. But my mei fun lacked flavor... needed garlic and ginger at the least. My husband's sesame chicken was delivered as orange chicken I'm 99% sure. Soupy orange sweet syrup covered his deeply fried chicken. Awful. Then one daughter ordered coconut shrimp. I've never had coconut shrimp not be shrimp coated with shredded coconut and lightly fried. I'm posting the picture of her coconut shrimp that was nearly inedible. It was pieces of iceberg lettuce with giant large dough pieces fried like a donut/funnel cake with a shrimp inside and DRENCHED in a white, creamy, extremely sweet sauce. She managed to eat two shrimp by pulling them out of the donuts but absurd to call this a dinner entree or even coconut shrimp. Thought we found a new spot based on our first trip, but second try ruined it for us. Waitress was the same on both visits. She's very nice but wouldn't clear dishes we put on the end of the table to give us space, brought the meals out with bad timing. She apologized but that doesn't make up for it. We eat together as a family, especially when we go out. The AC was also ridiculous. Customers were asking for it to be turned off, people were wearing their coats. It was 58 outside, no need for AC inside blasting us. Made for a very uncomfortable time. read more

We drove an hour here since the reviews praised this place and the AYCE. Wanted to really like this place but wasn't impressed. First impression: some staff weren't wearing masks properly if you care about health and hygiene. The social distancing was laughable. The food: miso soup was fine. Fried rolls were poorly executed. Would have been better if they used a tempura batter and no cream cheese, this made the roll soggy and lose its shape. My husband got the Philly roll and nearly threw up because the taste. I thought he was being dramatic until I tried it. Salmon tasted rotten! Told the waitress and was just whatever about it. Couldn't wait to pay and leave this place. We will see later if we get food poisoning I guess Summary: if you want mid to low quality sushi at a good price then hit up this place. Cant go wrong with the simple rolls (not sure about the salmon ones). Shrimp Tempura Roll wasn't too bad. But if you had good sushi from the city this place won't compare. Surprised by the food.... since when does Mongolian Beef taste like fish? I also had Hunan Beef not the hunan taste I am used to, very strange. There was barely any beef in either meal. I went in hearing that the food was good, as soon as I walked in I noticed a really bad smell but there were people in there so I figured I would give it a try. When I got home I was very dissatisfied. The shrimp with lobster sauce had imitation crabmeat in it and the sauce was watery. It was horrible! The egg toll was the size of a spring roll and wasn't very good and neither was the roast pork fried rice. I'm from the northeast where we have authentic Cantonese food, this was the poorest excuse for Chinese food I've ever seen! You're probably better off going to Panda Express across the road. I took my mom and sister here today. Service was friendly and fast. Food was excellent. I had the sweet n sour shrimp, crab Rangoon, and the hot n sour soup, all very flavorful. It's definitely worth the drive from Navarre!!! I will be back. read more

They have hibachi on the menu but don't be fooled! There's no hibachi grill. The fried rice isn't fried. But the waitress was so nice. The food was definitely not worth the money. read more

Great place for AYCE sushi, one of the only ones in Northwest Florida, beats traveling to Pensacola. Very family friendly, I always bring my two young kids in and they are extremely accommodating. Sure it's not the best sushi around but you can beat made to order sushi compared to a buffet that has sushi rolls sitting out all day. read more

10/10. We come down to this area twice a year. So glad to have this place as an option now. Didn't get any pictures like I normally do since we were so hungry and the service was so quick. Far better than expected- given the choice between All U Can Eat vs ordering from the menu, I went with the All U Can Eat. Ordered 2 Specialized Rolls, a regular Roll, an Appetizer, and a Soup. The chef making Sushi was working non stop so I highly recommend tipping for the extra work. The waitress, Becky, recommended several choices that were spectacular. Overall, if you enjoy Sushi, this is the place to go. If you enjoy Thai or Chinese food, this is also the place to go. read more

Definitely do not recommend. I went to have a mini lunch birthday for a friend and the waitress was unprofessional and honestly looked like she was on something. The waitress we got was previously smoking outside and wiping the windows and came in immediately to greet us and didn't wash her hands before handing us the menus. Covid may not be as horrible as it was last year but it is still existing. She took our orders but apparently forgot mine and a friend's miso and egg soup. She seems inexperienced as she didn't know what I was ordering though I showed her on the menu and she gave me two wrong sushi places (I didn't even order sushi). The chefs also put all our "all you can eat" sushi on one big plate because we "ordered so much". We didn't know which ones were ours and were disappointed with the taste of the sushi and sashimi. You can definitely dine here if you're drunk enough to bother choosing this place as a first though to eat at with friends or even family. read more

Well New Ginger is 2 for 2 on messing up on pick up orders. Order is placed, receipt at business is correct, get home and everything is wrong. We were able to sit outside & enjoy our meal together! The service was quick and Cathy (our waitress) was amazing & so kind! We loved the Christmas hats that the staff was wearing. When I alerted them to it, they went out of their way to redeliver the complete order, even though I asked them not to since the error was so minor. Service was outstanding, food was great, even the music was nice! However, I witnessed a younger woman who appeared to be in charge (I will call her the shift lead) publicly berate an older woman who looked to be a member of the wait staff/server. I do not know understand why the shift lead felt it was necessary to raise her voice and repeat herself several times over what the issue was. This made my dining experience unpleasant. The shift lead needs to be schooled about lowering her voice and that corrections to employees are behind closed doors and out of earshot. The other woman tried to nicely explain why something happened, but the shift lead wasn't having it - she repeated herself with an upset and very nasty tone. When a male worker came over and spoke to her, she launched into a vocal tirade in another language that he apparently spoke. Very unsatisfactory.... she needs to repeat Restaurant Management 101 or be fired. read more

Food was okay, service was quick, staff not really wearing masks, everyone had it off of their nose or no mask at all. Our waitress's mask was covering her chin, not over her mouth or nose at all. She got super close to my face and put her head over my shoulder to show me something on the menu. I've never had a waiter or waitress's face get that close to mine even before covid. I had to ask her to back up a bit. She was apologetic and put her mask over her mouth, but the situation was so awkward and made me uncomfortable. The restaurant was clean, with a comfortable atmosphere. We were intrigued by the all you can eat menu, which is not a buffet, but items are made to order as you order them. They also have a regular menu. The dinner all you can eat option is $20.99 and includes appetizers, soups and salads, main dishes, nigiri, regular rolls, hand rolls, and special rolls. I had the avocado salad, shu mai, crab rangoon, shrimp tempura roll, Thai green curry with chicken, bookit roll, and I sampled the sweet and sour chicken, won ton soup, Thai red curry, shrimp with vegetables, and the egg drop soup. All of the food I tried was a step above your average Chinese buffet. All of it was freshly prepared to order, served promptly, hot and tasty. The portions were small, and I left very little behind. In my opinion, the sushi was average, but miles above what is ordinarily served at a Chinese restaurant. Sushi rice is supposed to served at body temperature, and my rolls were somewhat cooler than that, but were not chilled. They were made to order and fresh, and I enjoyed eating them. The all you can eat menu serves half size rolls, so I was able to try a couple of different options. The shrimp tempura was very good; the special bookit roll was only okay. My least favorite dish was the sweet and sour chicken. The highlight of the meal was the Thai green curry, which was outstanding. Don't know if it is authentic, but it was wondrously tasty. It is quite spicy, so it took me a while to eat it. Overall, this was a very nice dining experience, and I am looking forward to my next visit. read more

Firstly, my initial experience with New Ginger was decent. Food tasted good and everything was flavorful. This past weekend I order again for my second experience. The food was not good, at all. Parts of it were just terrible. $17 for a pupu for two when the two wings were so dry they could have been from a mummified chicken out of Egypt circa 3000bc... only one shrimp, and three tiny chicken fingers smaller than a nugget from McDonald's? Not good. Also, a few of my hot dishes were served on lettuce infusing a cooked wilted lettuce taste in the dishes it was used in. This is not an enjoyable flavor. The General Tao's chicken was, sorry to say, disgusting. It was made with dark meat that tasted off and the breading also had an odd taste. I'd contained three tiny broccoli florets as the "bed of broccoli." I threw it away. The Kung Pao was fine, the fried rice was better the first time I had it, and the egg drop soup and crab wontons were lackluster but fine, too. The pork spareribs... well, they had that cooked lettuce taste and were entangled in slimy cooked lettuce, which I did not enjoy. I'm not sure why it's included when the food isn't packaged for presentation. Everything was priced $3 over the menu price and I was charged $6 delivery fee to meet at the toll booth... which isn't that far from the restaurant. It seems excessive. I get that prices have gone up, and I don't mind paying $100 for a good meal. But for the most part, this was not good... and not worth $96. I'm actually shocked it's the same place I ordered from a few months ago when the food was good. I've contacted the owner and never heard back. Sadly, I cannot see ordering from New Ginger again... $96 is expensive for food that is just so-so, bad, or ends up in the trash. BUT, if you love food with a cooked wilted lettuce infused flavor or just want to feel duped as a costumer, then New Ginger is the place for you! (Hard pass!) read more
