By not including any less than complimentary comments a clear picture is not being presented. My mother (and my father until his passing) lived in the Seasons community for 11 years - 9 years at Seasons and 2 years at Courtyard. The years in independent living was tolerable - Courtyard, not so much. The lack of staffing, particularly at night, was very concerning. When you have one nurse on duty and a scattering of aides handling 3 floors of elderly residents, this is makes for a less than ideal assisted living arrangement. Care conferences were never held, repairs requested for her apartment (broken tile in bathroom - possible trip hazard), thorough apartment cleaning as stipulated in lease agreement each took over a year to achieve. Other than an ideal location there is nothing ideal about Courtyard. My mother at age 96 passed away recently and no one in the management of Senior Lifestyle had the humanity to even utter condolences to our family. Concerns regarding the facility were also voiced to the President of Senior Lifestyle in their Chicago headquarters and has also been completely ignored. Would NOT recommend this facility to any family looking for an assisted living facility.

My family was very pleased with my dear mother's stay at Seasons for short term rehab.  From the…read moremoment she arrived until she was discharged, she was treated with the highest level of professionalism and compassionate care.  The facility is very nice, very clean, safe, and we felt very safe with the covid protocol that was in place.  Her room was lovely and everyone was very accommodating and responsive.  All of the staff/administration were very helpful, approachable, knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and went above the call of duty to make my mother's stay a great experience.  We appreciated the friendly and hard working housekeeping staff, food staff, and all of the workers whom we encountered from day to day!  The food was good/prepared well and extra care was taken to ensure I was served meals with regard to my nutrition restrictions.  Heartfelt and special thanks to the Therapy Dept., Nursing Staff/Medical Team and the Social Worker!  They worked tirelessly to provide the highest level of care that we have received anywhere and it was absolutely the primary reason for such a great and successful outcome.  We would highly recommend Seasons to any family looking for great, quality care!

She made lots of new friends. They allowed us to do a bit of customization (paint) in her apartment to make it feel more like her home. She actually lived in 3 different apartments throughout her time there. Sadly, she passed away last week. The team at Eastgate showed genuine concerned for our mother. They upgraded her services when something was needed to allow her to continue living in her own place versus moving to a skilled nursing facility. We really appreciated that! Mom loved her caregivers & I think they loved her back. It may not be the fanciest place in town, but I'll take care & concern over a showy exterior every day of the week.

She had rehab -both physical and occupational every day for at least an hour. The therapist really made her work - but in a good way. They were very patient and kind. The nurses and staff were always available to help my mom and to answer any questions from family members. All the staff was very kind and patient - from bringing her meals, to showers, to making her feel comfortable. She had her own room that was always clean. The facility is very comfortable - with places for visitors to sit and talk to staff or patient, away from room. Very, very clean - always someone cleaning equipment and floors. I was transitioned to Villaspring after I shattered my hip and had a hip replacement (this was…read moreimmediately following a stroke with hospital stay and rehab). Most of the staff was very apathetic (especially the night staff). I was almost given the wrong medication a few times. Fortunately for me, I know my medication very well. I have severe anxiety. My panic attacks were commonly ignored. One night, I cried and borderline screamed the entire night (I didn't sleep). The nurse ignored me, even though she could have talked me down or given me a Xanax, which I am prescribed. It was my first night there, and I was scared. I went to a different rehab facility (Encompass) after my stroke, and had very few panic attacks. The staff was always able to talk me down. Some nights, I waited as long as an hour to use the restroom. I had alarms on my bed (pretty standard). I eventually started setting off my alarm after 20 minutes, so the staff would come in and I could use the restroom. I am not a difficult patient. I never had problems like these anywhere else (hospital, other rehab). Don't send your family or yourself here! It was terrible.

They are remarkably gentle, compassionate, and professional in getting her cleaned up and fresh.Second, I want to recognize her speech therapist, Heather (affectionately known there as "Hot Dog"). Heather has been incredibly caring and helpful during meal times. She has been closely monitoring my mother to ensure she can swallow her food safely, while working hard to identify her best needs and figure out the exact eating level plan she should be on.In this field, a lot of places do not provide this level of care, but these four individuals truly stand out. Rosedale staff provide quality services and really care about the residents and their quality of life. It's very clean and well kept. You feel like you're on vacation with a pool, 5 star chef. Outings to the gym,movies etc At the same time it's a serious learning environment and the counsellors will give you all the info you need to be successful.
