I've been seeing Dr. Nguyen for routine dental care for over 10 years, and he is a fantastic dentist--kind, caring, and he uses up-to-date technology. His clinical team has also generally been very good. Unfortunately, the experience with the front office has declined over the past year. Recently, when scheduling an appointment for my elderly mother, we specifically asked whether they accepted her insurance. We clearly told them the name of the insurance and even sent a photo of her insurance card. The day before the appointment, the office called and texted to confirm. However, the morning of the appointment, they sent a message saying they do not take her insurance and that we could pay out of pocket instead. There was no apology and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, despite the time we spent preparing for the appointment and taking time off work. It was disappointing, especially given how long we've trusted this practice. I hope the office improves its communication and insurance verification process so other patients don't have a similar experience. read more

I have started to go to this place in February. I love the staffs and the dentist ( Dr. Nguyen ) Dr. Nguyen makes me very happy very time I see him. I feel like I can put all my trust to him when it comes my teeth. To me, he is not just a dentist, he love what he does and extremely good at it. I experienced a few dentists for the last 31 years, but none of them can be compared to dr. Nguyen. If you are in need to look for a new dentist, you should give yourself a try with dr. Nguyen. My first visit was cool but they failed to tell me that the butterfly X-rays weren't covered by my insurance... so I received and unexpected bill for lack of communication. 2nd visit for a cleaning they discovered I have a cracked filling came to get filling done supposed to be $78.00 left spending $98 bc the filling was bigger than expected lol ...once again no one communicated it would be more expensive. Also now they are saying I need a crown because of whatever with the same tooth... now I'm paying for a fill-in and a crown for the same tooth. It's the lack of communication and having to deal with the same issue twice to get more money. I'm really considering a new dentist office I don't like gray areas or not full explanation of cost that's why I left denta first!!! read more

I have the WORST dental anxiety and absolutely dread going to the dentist. However, Dr. Nguyen makes it totally manageable. I won't lie- it is still the dentist BUT as dentists go he is the absolute best. Dr. Nguyen is smart and amicable and his staff is amazing. Went in for a filling today and the entire drilling and filling process took only 10-15 minutes. He was super understanding of my anxiety and made sure I was comfortable. When I was needed to be scheduled for dental filling and I had questions with packages and hidden fees that I have been charged. She told me " I m not gonna argue with you" when I was asking question. Horrible attitude. I have been going there for 8 years and now switching doctors. She did not schedule my filling F/U appt which she was obligated to because of a filling failure, she thinks she owns the center. Her job is scheduling not making admin decisions. I have been going to this dentist officer for over four years and am so grateful for their care. When I first moved into town, they had to do a lot of work on my mouth (1 crown and five fillings). A year later, I also had to have some older fillings repaired. The staff are all kind and patient. During the pandemic, they implemented many protocols to keep people safe. Been going here for many years and like the hygienist, Ashley, and Dr Nguyen. Free and easy parking. Two issues though have me reevaluating looking for a new practice. First and foremost, they are almost always late: sometimes by a little, sometimes by a lot. I have routinely waited 20-40 minutes past my appointment time. No one comes out to give you an update. I find it disrespectful and unprofessional. If it only happened once or twice in all the years I have been a patient, I would have understood. However, tardiness is the rule, not the exception. Be prepared to wait...and wait or walk out. Secondly, if you went there 12 weeks in a row they would want to take new x-rays every time you walked in. There is no need if nothing has changed. This seems excessive, I don't like receiving unnecessary exposure to x-rays and it likely is designed to drive revenue and drive up the cost of care for all of us. I have regularly refused them. So. If you consider going here, take control of your care, insist on being treated professionally and respectfully and consider what characteristics are important to you as a patient. read more

Very good experience, the folks here are super nice and informative. Facility is very clean, the exam rooms are like any other typical dentist. The waiting room is quite nice, free coffee/water/etc. The wait time was a bit long, I understand other patients and what not, but my appointment took two whole hours! it wasn't a big deal but whew, wasn't expecting that. Just x-rays and a cleaning. Also, kind of odd that they don't give out a toothbrush, floss and toothpaste like other dentists I've been to at the end of the appointment. Also, not really a big deal, just an observation! Nguyen was a very conversational, knowledgeable guy. Not intimidating or awkward at all! The hygienist was wonderful (feel so bad that I can't remember her name!). Very genial and gave me helpful suggestions. My teeth felt great after my appointment! Oh my goodness. Not a great experience. This is not a place where you feel like people are professionals and know what they are doing. I went in for a procedure and it was not fun. The procedure wasn't done correctly and I had to return to find an assistant attempting to fix the problem, when it was clear she wasn't sure what she was doing. She kept asking me if it was correct.. I'm not a professional! During the procedure, there was kind of bickering going on. It certainly doesn't feel like the best quality - but I'm stuck with this place until I find another one that takes my insurance. A dentist, I've learned, is an area of life that should not be sacrificed in regards to quality. You will pay for it later. UPDATE - changing this to one star. Yet again, they didn't fix the problem.. and here I am unable to eat on the right side of my mouth again. I've never had issues with my teeth before! This is twice now that they screwed up. I went to New Face Dentistry for two routine teeth cleanings and the cleaning went okay. But I did notice their condescending attitude about any work that was done overseas. I let it pass for the time being. Then came their long list about all the cavities I have (Dr. Nguyen), the absolute Immediate Need for a root canal and crown even though I had zero symptoms. I understand that they are professionals and would know what is wrong, but I did want to wait or get a second opinion. At checkout, they gave me the treatment plan and costs, and I said I will wait for a bit before scheduling it as it was way too much money and I didn't yet have symptoms. I went back in 6 months for next cleaning (no symptoms; they pointed out the cavities again, and I told them I will probably have the cavities done first before the root canal and crown as the crown as way too much money. The doctor actually scolded me about it and made me feel very small (Dr. Mills)!! I was appalled! They again tried to convince me to make an appointment ASAP, but I had decided that I will be changing dentists. There's no way I am coming abck to this place where a patient is not treated well! I got most of my treatment completed at another location, and they have been kind and patient with me. Not condescending, not waiting to empty my wallet, but allowing me to make decisions on my own, based on my convenience. I will provide a review of my new dentist after another visit with them! I do NOT recommend New Face Dentistry. Yes, they are smiling, friendly, with state-of-the-art equipment, hygienic, but the whole time I got the feeling that they just wanted to make money, as fast as possible! read more

I went to New Face Dentistry for my routine cleaning and X-Rays. I saw Binh H. Nguyen, DMD. I had my cleaning with a girl names Tiffany... It was sloppy and unprofessional. When she was doing the pre-interview she was sitting behind me and I couldn't see her. A lady named Alison actually had to come in and slide her (in her chair) in front of me so she could speak to me face to face. During the cleaning she twice dropped equipment on the floor and had to get new equipment. Then when I went into the review area with Alison she took pictures of my teeth and as she went over them started pointing out areas she thought might be cavities. And as she did - she was almost giddy saying OH that might be a cavity and OH that are looks suspect. When doctor Binh H. Nguyen came in... he pulled up my digital X-Rays went through them and said oh yes you have 2 cavities in the lower back teeth - between the teeth in the same place on both sides. I thought that odd since I've only had one cavity in my whole life - when I was 10 years old. Then without skipping a beat they had paper work printed up and wanted me to schedule the appointment. So I went home - next day I called them and had my X-rays sent to my previous Dentist that I had been going too for over a decade. They have the same state-of-the-art equipment as New Face Dentistry. My previous dentist called me today and said this. I do not have any cavities. I do not have any signs of early decay. My teeth are as healthy as they get. If you are reading this. DO YOUR RESEARCH! If you go here and you've never had a cavity and they tell you that you do... Get a second opinion. But my advice is avoid this place. I wish I had read the reviews here on yelp... it seems others have had this same issue. read more

Dr. Nguyen used to be my dentist 8 years ago. After during one visit he suggested I had 3 new cavities I got suspicious. I went to another dentist who found none. 8 years and two dentists later no one found the cavities Dr. Nguyen was going to drill. I am glad I got away, just wonder how many of my teeth he damaged by unnecessary work and how much money did I pay for him to get little richer. No wonder their office is so fancy... I started to post a review but I read some of the previous postings. So this is a response. I have to say that I have been going to this practice for several years and yes, i have seen some of the changes in staffing. Being a small business owner myself, I understand the challenge with finding consistent personalities. The office manager is a bit tough but she really does the best to help. AND she is not the one working on my teeth. That is the most important thing... excellent care and you get one on one attention. It is not a clinic, you see the same doctor and hygienist. Some times the charges are confusing because of the crazy changes in the insurance world but they have always worked it out. We need to support these small health care type of businesses.
