Prices kept changing through phone calls in the other room to the owner. - Certain major service work was not mentioned (they had put in a new second hand engine with unknown miles and leaked oil) which I only found out just before I was willing to purchase. Why would they not mention this? I went around maybe 10 car dealerships over two days. This one was the probably the worse - they are so many better places to buy a car, all of them will throw you a sales pitch, but are otherwise generally honest. If you are set on a car there, the experience wasn't awful, but I just had way to much of a hard time trusting them in what is typically a pretty big purchase for most people. Tried blaming his son for giving a wring message. Then tried blaming my granddaughter when I was in the room when the message was given. My son bought a car from this location, it broke down in less than two weeks. After mechanic inspected, discovered the heads were warped. It is clear that they did just enough to the engine to keep it operational temporarily. He pursued getting repairs and no response from New Creation. I've been researching used cars and car dealers for a while, and after having found two cars that both looked interesting i saw they were both listed by the same dealer, so that liked interesting. I decided to research the dealership, and was APPALLED at the poor ratings this place has! I take Yelp reviews with a grain of salt, but EVERY online review, including the Better Business Bureau (they rated them a 1/5!) rated Creation Auto Sales all-time low. The cars are "somewhat good" and sell themselves. For a cash car business that builds its name on biblical principles there is a large piece of integrity that's missing, and there shouldn't be. A Craigslist ad for a vehicle I was interested in lured me into New Creation Auto Sales today. I called head before driving to the lot to check hours and of course the availability of this vehicle. About an hour later I arrived only to discover the vehicle was in fact not on the lot. When I entered the sales office, an employee was face down in a burrito. He proceeded to speak to me with his mouth full. I was completely grossed out. Further, the lot was void of any other customers, and despite no other sales staff being present in the office, I got the sense this individual had plenty of time to return my call. The sales person confirmed the vehicle I referenced via the ad I saw was no longer available. Yet the ad was refreshed this morning. I'm in real estate sales. If I advertised a home for sale that wasn't actually available, I would have severly adverse consequences. Bottom line, if a business fails to be honest and accurate about their product offerings, why would anyone expect them to be trustworthy in their business dealings? Buyer beware. We found a Prius that was over $1,000 under fair price for it's mileage and year. For good reason. We test drove it and it seemed okay except the display acting strange. We decided to get an inspection from a mechanic before buying. When we went in to the repair shop, the owner heard we were looking at a car from New Creation. He gestured to talk to us privately and told us that he had many customers who had been screwed over by New Creation and he had been wishing for an opportunity to help people avoid it. He said his customers would find out about tons of problems with cars after buying them and one was even suing them (I think over breaking warranty but I'm not sure.) we thanked him for the warning but asked him to proceed with the inspection. If they didn't find anything wrong, that's about as much as the dealer could know anyways. The result: two of the locks were broken, the electronic display was broken (very expensive fix), it had a warning it needed maintenance, traction control, and THE BATTERY DID NOT WORK. The battery! The hybrid was literally running on gas. If you can't resist a cheap offer from New Creation, at the very LEAST get a buyers inspection before you buy. read more

**UPDATE** Well, I alerted the Attorney General's office regarding the illegal business practices of New Creation. Surprise, surprise, John, the owner didn't respond to the complaint. The AG's office can't force the business to respond but this just shows you how dedicated they are to their customers. Next stop, the Better Business Bureau. I want to start by saying I purchased a great car from this place but my issue is with their customer service and ethical business practices. I purchased a car and inquired about paying the down payment with my next paycheck. I was informed by Alex that to just write a post-dated check for the amount which I did. My down payment check was written for 11/22/14. The check was promptly deposited on 11/5/2014 causing an overdraft on my account. I contacted the dealership and was given the run around for a few weeks. First, "you need to talk to the bookkeeper", then "you need to speak with John." So, finally, I received a call back from John, the owner. He informed me that writing post-dated checks was illegal and should have never been done. I reminded him that his employee, Alex, recommended I do this and his response was "deal with it yourself." I just don't get why you would condone the business practices of you employees if the practices are unethical. Poor business management! read more

This place seemed like a legit place. They sold a vehicle to a family member who was very excited about making this purchase. We kept getting reassured that it was a good car. On the drive home FROM THE DEALER, the belts started squealing and by the time we arrived home...there was smoke coming from the engine bay. We popped the hood and there was a liquid all over the engine bay. Turns out the battery was not secured properly and slid up against one of the pulleys causing it to cut a hole into the side of the battery!!!! Talk about dangerous! We proceeded to get a new battery and continued on with the vehicle. Its been less than a month now....today the car finally broke down on the morning commute. It shut off while driving, then once running again the motor was knocking. Its toast. Great way to WASTE thousands of dollars. Dirtballs! I bought a car which I had put 20 miles on a test drive. Another 30 miles later the engine light came on. It was a transmission code, and both an amateur mechanic friend and a reputable transmission shop told me it needed a rebuild. Buyer beware, but especially with these guys. Their cars are cheap for a reason. But that's not it. I took the car the car back less that 24 hrs after purchase to return it. The head swindler took me for a ride and tried to convince me that there was nothing wrong with the car and that my friend, the transmission shop and the vehicles computer code were all mistaken, while stopping at FedEx and running errands along the way. But eventually, they generously offered to take the car back minus a 10% restocking fee. So I took a 10% loss for my poor judgment in trusting a used car salesman. That's the end of the story, right? Oh no. I had all the original purchase documents with me when I returned. I was sure I had them with me when I left, but down the road a bit I realized I didn't, and went back. I looked on the ground where my old vehicle was parked, and in and around the new vehicle, and then went inside to ask the guy. "Shredded!" was his response, making the slitting of the throat hand gesture and smiling like a kid that just got away with stealing a cookie. Somehow he had gained possession of all my documentation regarding the sale and return of the vehicle and openly admitted to shredding them all. As the transaction was made with a credit card, I was 5 days without either a car or my money. It is the type of people working at New Creation Auto Sales that promote the used car salesmen stereotype. I got my beautiful 1993 Ford Taurus Wagon here! It's a little old and beat up but it drives very nicely and the price was right! The owner/car dealer was such a nice man. He was friendly and insightful. He has a nice car lineup that seems to change every once in a while to give customers a better chance to buy the car they want. These guys are absolute crooks! Me and the wife decided to get a little SUV for a third vehicle and came across a 2005 land rover for a good price. The advertisement claimed it was in great condition and will provide "many more years of enjoyment". Well, after 1 week of ownership the engine blew and left me and my wife and kid stranded. After trying to get back in touch with them, they became ghosts. They are cool up front, but once they get their money they could care less about you. John is the definition of a USED car salesman and tries to front it with his "Christian" wall hangings and word of the gospel. This establishment is far from professional. The first day we drove there the open sign was on and there was no one to be found on the lot. They just decided to go home early that day. The next day when we came to purchase the car, John- who knew we were coming didn't have the car pulled out and or ready for us to test drive. Talk about salesmanship. Later he pulled this funny telephone game where when we were discussing price, he pretended someone to call and ask for the same vehicle. Interesting, how coincidental. He would not budge on price at all, he mocked me when I stated Kelly blue book was 1k below his asking price, then he flashed around his warranty like it was gold. His warranty wasn't worth the paper it's wrote on. He charged us $600 dollars for a warranty that would in return only covers $1000 of the needed repairs. Turns out after having this car for a week it started leaking fluids everywhere. Upon examination from a Subaru specialist, both head gaskets had severe leaks and the clutch was going out. $2,500-$3,000 was the estimated repair bill. We (at the time) were happy we had bought our warranty thinking it covered these repairs as John had promised and read to us from the paperwork. Well John fully knowing, and not reading or informing us, these repairs are covered upto $1,000. Well anyone who knows a Subaru, $1,000 isn't squat for repairs. So much for a warranty that pays out $400. So I called John personally on the phone to try and mediate on some condition. He was very defensive and would not hold upto his word. My wife also called John to ask if a respectable dealer would sell a car with an obvious fault. He stated that any respectable dealer would have the car checked out to insure he wasn't selling a lemon. Bottom line I would never go to this lot again unless its to collect a check and to receive and appology. We all know that won't happen. read more

We brought it back where the owner had just finished blessing it.he said he would fix the problem.we left the car there for a week they said it was repaired. My girl friend thought it would be nice to do a road trip to Vancouver Bc. Half way there the engine failed towed it back to everett. Went back to this dealer and were told if we paid for it they would install a new motor. We declined after pulling the engine we discovered that when they had repaired the oil pump they had used blue silicon sealant with out a gasket so much so that he sucked it up into the oil pump seized the motor. My friend was looking on line for a car and saw something there he wanted me to check on I relayed my story to him but told him I would the car he wanted to look at wouldn't start the dealer denied my story about my experience in the past and wouldn't talk to me because he wanted to watch a televangelist on tv I told him what I thought of him and left . what a scumbag read more

This guy sold a friend a car and said if there were issues he would handle it as she told him it smelled like burning old when she bought it. Less than a week later, engine lite is on and off. She called him and he sent her to a shop. The guy made one of the corrections and told her he could not do the other work (more specialized). She called New Creations and the owner refused to speak with her, had his office gal give her another number to call. She made an appointment and took her car assuming he would pay for the work to be done at this place. She found out it needs over a thousand dollars in work (on top of the little bit the one guy did) and he is refusing to pay according to his office gal, again. They have two complaints with the BBB, neither were ever responded to. Not a good sign. She filed a complaint with the AG office today. He is a crook. Well, like an informed buyer should, we did our homework before purchasing a used car. We were fully aware of what models to stay away from, and how to look for known issues with the particular car we were looking at. When you buy a used car, it is exactly that. Used. People trade in their cars because there is something wrong with them, then they are either fixed up for sale if the value is still there, or put up for auction for small dealers to pick up at a good price. Most of the time cars that are auctioned off are fixed up enough to run, drive and stop. That's it. Major issues are not fixed, or even known for that matter, and it is up to the buyer to be aware of what they are purchasing. Including warranties. In coming to visit John and take a look at a specific make and model of a car we had been looking for, we found the experience relaxed, laid back and refreshing. He allowed us to take our time with the car, test drive it, discuss it among ourselves and make an offer, all without any cheap sales gimmicks or pressure used by the bigger dealers. We knew what we were buying, proposed a reasonable offer, and made a deal. We were done with the paperwork in 15 minutes. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! All car dealers are in business to make money. There will always be sales tactics to help garner a sale, and it's up to you to do your part to be a savvy buyer. Our experience was pleasant and quick. We are very happy with our purchase of a well maintained vehicle and would not hesitate to return for a future purchase. read more

I went first car shopping today with my son. We started off in utter disappointment....I was surprised, confused, disgusted and pissed! I decided to start at the lot my daughter got her first car, and got a great deal on her Prius. The same place I highly recommended one year ago. To only find out I was wrong on their customer service, morals and integrity! Being disappointed is one thing, ok so John(owner of the lot)was on a conference call and couldn't move his car for us to test drive one that was buried behind quite a few vehicles. This was very surprising to me. I would think they would be pleased to see a returned customer....confused! The part that disgusted me, while my 3 year old son was walking to use their restroom, he opened his office door and rammed the door knob up his nose....this did not phase him one bit, his response was...."yeah, I am on a conference call so I can't move my car"......he looks at my son and said blatantly, "can you move him away from the door(as he is crying hard from the hit to the nose), I'm on a call ". Leonard used the bathroom, he barely made any in the toilet.... And this momma was so pissed, I refused to clean it up! Lol. Their justification for the behavior today, "well since you are not purchasing anything today........" Yes, I stated we are looking today, this is his first experience. We are going to first get a feel for a variety of vehicles. After overlooking the lot, he desperately wanted to test drive this nice looking SUV. Well, buying a car from this place will go down in the books as a life lesson. The owner, John, is a true manipulator and con man. In reading these reviews my concerns have definitely been validated. When we walked in the door he was on the phone and immediately got off telling us the person he was just talking to also wanted to buy the very car we were inquiring about (other reviews mentioned he did this). Then during the course of things, some random guy walks in saying that this guy John changed his life 5 years ago by selling him a car. After reading the reviews it's obvious this was a planned thing that he does! Crazy. He also has the whole office decorated with Jesus. The good Christian facade is key to this guys business. Fast forward to the test drive...he tells us not to back the car up but just to go ahead and pull forward over the curb slowly. Didn't think much of this in the moment. Take the car for a drive and it did fine. The car is my 16 year old daughters first car. We get back with the car and end up buying it, as is no warranty. Hohn came out to the parking lot and prayed over the car with my daughter...really puts on a show. We drive the car home and go to back up into a parking lot and it won't move. Will not reverse. Get out and pop the hood and all of coolant has leaked out and the engine is smoking. We get it parked and take it to the Honda dealer first thing in the morning. Depending on what they found we planned to try and return the car to new creation since it only lasted about 5 miles off the lot. Well, the Honda dealer was unable to replicate the reverse issue this time and ended up fixing $1,300 in other repairs (new radiator and a plethora of other things). Then a week later after driving the car a bit further the thing won't reverse again. Back to Honda we go, frustrated they didn't catch it before and low and behold the transmission is bad. Surprise surprise. It just doesn't do the reverse thing until the engine is super warm. Anyway, now my daughter has a car that needs more work than it's even worth. I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. I don't think he buys cars that don't have major issues. So many people on here have the same story. I think buying private party would be a better idea so that hopefully you're not buying a total junker. And given how he told us not to back up out of the lot I'm sure he knew about the transmission. We weren't in a hurry, we had cash and were just kinda waiting on the right car for the right price to pop up. We went to New Creation Auto Sales not once, not even twice, but three times over the course of 2 or 3 months to look at cars they had advertised on Craigslist, and all three times they told us they "just sold" that car. Yet for days - even weeks - afterwards, new ads for those cars kept popping up on Craigslist! bought a nissan 2004 murano from new creations .due to the mileage from where i lived to the auto lot I did most of my shopping on the phone. I was told it was in great condition as the craigslist stated I was told it ran and drove great but couldn't cover the motor or transmission due to the lowering of the price of the car. I was told everything worked and the tires were at around 70% so I pout a down payment over the phone to hold the car. when I arrived at the dealer is was close to closing time and they rushed me to get the sale done so I took a quick look at the car and started it it ran ok so I paid the rest of the amount.I went to the gas station to fill the tank as it was getting dark that when the person that drove me noticed that the light were not working I also noticed that the dash light didn't work after playing with the light we found out the hi-beams worked so we could drive it home. on the way I noticed it sometime skipped as it ran but thought it was because it's probably been sitting and only drove short distances. the next day I took it to the auto shop to have the lights looked at the labor was 54.94 and 2 replacement light were 20.00 . I also had a chance to really look over the car and 2 tires are bald and the other weathered damaged (it's a awd so all tire must match) $653.29 then after 6 days of owning the car a check engine light came on (p1778 stepper motor bad) so I had it replaced $1003 . that did not fix the issue and I need a replacement transmission $4339.78 as thing happened I've sent a letter about the lights and have called many time mostly just to get a call message recording to a message stating the message is full when I have gotten thought he have at first avoided the issue about the lights and transmission and stated he would get me some tires thinking that was a start gave him the tire size and did not hear back from him for over a week so I called back when I brought up the issues he was very rude (honestly in the end I wasn't very nice ether) after stating what I was told about the car he said a few time that it doesn't mater what they said at the end of the day I bought the car. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I made the mistake of purchasing a vehicle from John Cooper and New Creation Auto Sales last November (2014). I thought everything was great, I purchased the extended warranty "just in case". 10 Days from the date of purchase the vehicle broke down on the way back home from Seattle. After having several mechanics look at the vehicle it was determined that the engine seized for unknown reasons, although the oil looked a little too clean for a vehicle with so many miles on it (190,000 for a 2000). I attempted to contact Mr. Cooper for a week and FINALLY on day 7 was able to reach him. When I explained the situation to him and asked him if he was willing to work with me to make the situation right I was told, "you purchased the extended warranty, it isn't my problem, don't call me again". After receiving this response I decided to try to get to the bottom of the oil situation, I sent a sample out for testing at CAT's lab. The results I got back were shocking to say the least. Mr. Cooper was running 240 weight oil in this vehicle, that is only used for transfer cases and to make an engine run just long enough to get from point A to point B. Basically he sold me a vehicle he knew was going to break down sooner rather than later. I got several estimates to replace the engine, all of which were $3,000+. I again contacted Mr. Cooper in December, via certified return receipt mail, requesting that he either purchase the vehicle back or make the repairs or I would be taking him to small claims court for the costs of the repairs seeing how this vehicle feel under the implied warranty law in Washington State and received no response. I have since taken Mr. Cooper to small claims court and won a judgment in my favor for the amount of $4,786.89, which he has not paid, filed complaints with the BBB and states attorney general, contacted local media regarding his history of ripping off consumers. After doing some research I am not to surprised he hasn't paid me seeing how there are 15 tax warrants on the business and countless other claims. I will continue to pursue this through all legal avenues, thankfully I did not only get the judgment against New Creation Auto Sales but John Cooper himself. All I can say is buyer beware, he may have cheap vehicles but by no means is he an honest Christian man that he claims to be. Shame on you Mr. Cooper, however you have not seen the last of me. read more

What initially started as a fairly decent transaction (decent vehicle, at a very fair price) eventually turned into a source of frustration. The post-purchase customer service only warrants two stars - if that; but the quality of the vehicle and the purchase price bumps it up to a very generous 3 stars. They appear to have this practice of waiting until the 45th (and final legal) day to mail out your registration forms; meaning by the time you get them, almost 50 days have passed. After 30 days, I went to see John to inquire about the registration. He promised me it would be mailed at the 35-day mark; but he failed to keep that promise. If you buy a vehicle from him, FOLLOW UP WITH HIM CONSTANTLY until you receive your registration forms. In my particular case, the TABS EXPIRED ON THE 41ST DAY, and they didn't mail me my paperwork until 4 days afterwards. I left countless voicemails on John's cell phone; but he refused to answer any of them. If you want him to call you back, don't let on that there is a problem; otherwise he will avoid you like the plague. Also, his partner/assistant at the lot refused to provide me with a temporary permit, even though it was entirely their fault for not mailing the registration forms out until after the tabs expired. I wound up having to pay DOL for permits out of my own pocket. I am willing to try them again in the future; but you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to be on them like white on rice when it comes to pushing them for my registration forms. read more

I called the owner on a Wednesday to make an appointment for the following Saturday to look at some cars. He said no problem and then I called him on the Friday to confirm and he said he would be there. On said Saturday he was no where to be found and was actually at a football game. I thought, ok no problem everyone makes mistakes. I then found a car, test drove it and fell in love with it. I told the employee that I was ready to buy it. I went to the bank, got the check and while I was signing the paperwork I decided I should take a peek at the vehicle history report. After asking for it I find out that the car has a salvage title. State law states that if you sell someone a car you need to tell them it has a salvage title. I put the brakes on the deal and wanted to figure out why the car had such a title. After doing my research I called and told them I would buy it. Called again on the following Monday and told them that I would buy it and confirmed the pick up for later that night. One hour before I was supposed to pick up the car the owner called me to say he "accidentally" sold the car. If you ask me this is one of the shadiest car dealerships I have ever been to and hope no one else has the misfortune of walking on to this lot. read more

STAY AWAY RACIST AND HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES I purchaced a car from this lot with the recomendation through a family member. John and I agreed on 1500.00 for a vehicle but was then called later with him telling me that he would have to add on another 300.00 because he purchased the care for 1500.00 and needed to make a profit. I agreed with the understanding that I would pay the exta in payments. this is where it got bad. When I came in to pick up my car I was approched By Alex who was too busy to even deal with me properly BTW he makes 500 comission with every sale. He kept telling me that the Mechanic was going to look at it before I took it. well the Mechanic never showed we went on a VERY brief test drive literly less then a block and was told by Alex that we needed to hury up he needed to get back. my paperwork was all messed up but did not realizing it until I was at home looking back at it thinking well this is a family friend we had this deal on a price. NOPE it stated that the final price of the care was over 2000.00 multiple calls to John go unanswered. Finally got a call from ALEX who then stated that "this is why I don't deal with BLACK people your all liers and lazy" YES THATS WHAT HE SAID. Alex then started yelling at me before hanging up stated just send a payment. I told them I wanted to speek with john before I did anything. In the mean time the power stearing went out in the car in the middle of an intersection it is stuck in 4 wheel drive and both of the ball bearings are needing replacing among other engine issues costing over 3000.00 worth of work. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE John will make deals and then after go back on them they will change up paperwork and prices after the fact and then make racial remarks. read more
