The positive is there is no excessive oil. We had egg rolls and dumplings. The dumplings were excellent, fried in a wok and delicious. We also had beef and broccoli. It was ok. I would highly recommend their shrimp and potatoes bc they are my favorite things to get! I miss this place being a buffet but they had to close the buffet because of covid and they just started doing carry out orders, but they are so so delicious and they are so friendly and kind! What a dump! HOWEVER, the food is AWESOME!! Moved here from Chicago three years ago and never found good Chinese. This place was recommended. Went on a Saturday for lunch. Still not sure if they are doing in dining service, however, we just sat down. The food was all served in disposable styrofoam???? Plastic utensils???? Then the food came. Oh my goodness! It was sooooo good! The hot and sour soup was spot on....the egg foo yung was huge and teaming with Chinese roasted pork.....the Kung Pao was sauced beautifully and graced with eggplant, peppers, snow peas and a variety of perfectly crisp vegetables. Again, this place is a dump inside and not the place to take your girl if you want to pop the question. I drive 45 minutes from my home in Biloxi to eat their take out. Their pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken (comes fried w/ sauce on the side) , and crab rangoons are absolutely amazing. And they're open late till 10pm! so you don't have to worry about getting the munchies and not being able to get some good chinese food. Absolutely the BEST Chinese (American style) in the coastal area. It is well worth the drive from wherever you are--I drive 40 miles to go here. Each time the food has been fresh, full of flavor, and CHEAP! I refer to the generous take out portions as I have not yet had the buffet. The buffet looks fresh, fairly well stocked but also small. As far as the food it truly is the best I have had consistently in the coastal area. The shrimp in the Lunch Special Shrimp in Garlic Sauce were fresh not frozen. You can taste the local catch difference. The veges in a tasty brown sauce were diverse and plentiful accented with Szechuan pepper. The Dinner Special Mongolian Beef is super tender, has onion and bell pepper in a slightly sweet brown sauce. Heat comes from fresh jalapeno slices. The Lunch Special Roast Pork Egg Foo Young is plentiful in vege/meat, and the sauce is of a soy and oyster sauce blend. Lunch specials come with soup while egg rolls for the dinner. The Hot and Sour is very tasty and complex. The egg are rolls addictive. The pork egg roll add-on apps are filled with minced roasted pork and crazy good. The pork fried rice is good but not the best I've ever had--fairly above average. The Fried Dumplings (pot stickers) are done correctly in a wok, not deep fried. Their sauce is great in soy base with ginger, onion, and other wonderful flavors. For the money you cannot beat this Chinese food anywhere around the area. The lunch, dinner, and combination specials offered are outstanding by any menu choice. Often you are given lack luster offerings by others but not here. By quality and value New China II is spot on. This small place is just out of town heading North on the 57 through the last town light and right at the next. I am seriously impressed with the food and the friendly people running it. read more
