I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant and china wok hit the spot. The food was on point I will definitely be ordering from there again read more

I used their dumpster out back which was swarming with flys and the back door to the restaurant was wide open...no screen.

Fresh food and delicious flavor. Excellent service. Lovely lighting and great table clothes. Such a clean space. Very busy because it's so popular. Highly recommend. read more

China Wok - The best place ever! General tso tofu! The best flavor and fresh - Chinese Near Me - Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Great food, Great service, everything about China Wok is excellent. Especially the noodles and egg drop soup. RECOMMENDED.

Regular Chinese. Nothing special at all but the Taste is ok and I like it enough to buy a plate here and there. Probably won't be back though because the last 2-3 times I've tried to get food from the bar to go, food is either old and dried out or they're claiming they're gonna put more fresh food out and they don't. They leave the food on the bar as long as possible before they replace it and it's honestly super unappealing. It's not bad food, just please, keep it hot and fresh. If you see the bottom of the pan, refill it? People should be able to run in, grab their food from the bar, and run out. It's a buffet !!!! read more

Great food, great service! Everything was fresh and hot! Love the glass tablecloth's tables. Buffet looks great too! Nice variety at great prices. Everything is nice and clean. Friendly staff. read more

Came here for the lunch buffet on a weekday for the first try and I was pleasantly surprised! The food is a 10/10. There wasn't a single thing I tried that wasn't well cooked and delicious! The service was good as well. Wait staff checked on us frequently even though it was self serve buffet style eating. The restaurant had a good feel and environment too. It was quiet (mainly adults during school hours) and a nice reprieve from the day. Already planning when to come back for a date night. Definitely going to be the new spot. read more

China Wok - Nom Nom NOM! - Chinese Near Me - Ocean Springs, Mississippi

I've been going to China Wok since I was a kid. The buffet is small, but the food is great. The service is 10 out of 10 and the restaurant is clean. I love china wok and will always eat here when I'm craving Chinese!! read more

This might be the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I spent the first 25 yrs of my life just outside Seattle, the next in Albuquerque and just moved to the South. This was my first experience with Chinese food here. As someone who has made their own wantons in the past and found them to be quite simple, their inainability to form them into anything but flat triangles that were soggy and hard was reflective of the entire meal. Nothing was sauthentic and unlikely formed by anyone with knowledge of Asian cuisine. You could not pay me to eat here again. read more

I don't know why people like to eat this bad tasting food. The vegetables are crunchy and undercooked. The shrimp in lobster sauce was the worst I've ever eaten period. It was bland with gunky mushy chewy crap in it. I spit it out then looked through the rest of my food and found the sesame chicken was nothing but overcooked crunchy chicken with no meat just fried crust chunks. How dreadful! read more

I ordered the cashew chicken and it was tasty but hardly any sauce. It would have been a lot better with sauce.

Ordered shrimp fried rice. The rice was undercooked and the shrimp were mushy. The chicken and broccoli was tasty.

Food is very good, but not enough to pick from. Would be much better if they expanded their dining selection

I don't know why this place has such a low rating, it's phenomenal and was packed! The Chinese food is the best in the area that I've found so far, even super good compared to New York choices! There's a buffet that's awesome but you can also order from the huge menu. It's low lit which is nice, casual and quaint. Their buffet for dinner is only $10.95 and you can also get it to go. The coconut shrimp is insane!!! read more

Great food and service. Clean. People are very friendly !! Good selection of food and Eggdrop soup yummy!!

Owners are great, food is consistently good, very clean and fresh ... for a buffet you can't beat it .. but even better if you order off the menu read more

I have just left there. I was overcharged. I mentioned this and was just given my card back. I was not allowed to get sauce packets. (to go order) After leaving the parking lot I realized there were no chop sticks or cookies. (The food was for the children.) I immediately returned and they were not happy with asking for the 2 items. We unloaded the bag, (at home), and realized they also shorted us on one rice. read more

A good buffet with pleasant staff. Plenty of parking. And you can't beat the price! THE LUNCH BUFFET IS JUST $7.55! Closed on Sunday. read more

Not sure why people hate on this place. The reviews are old. I've had nothing but awesome experiences with the staff & owners. Ordered take out today, a large order mind you. Singapore noodles Spring rolls Large hot & sour soup Wok fried green beans & House special lo mein Substantial portions, priced right & helping a local business. Not to mention spot on Chinese food. So stop being haters/ yelp snobs. Also. The staff, owners are the nicest people around. Just trying to make a living in these weird times. read more

Not even a star, I use to like this place and ordered fairly regularly. How ever my last two experiences has nailed the coffin shut!!! I mean if this restaurant is so arrogant that it would the temerity to treat a customer who spends an average of $60 per order this way. I ordered a dish called "seafood delight", What we got was week old fish shrimp, imitation shark meat scallops and a clear sauce that was totally spoiled. Not to mention a dozen over fried wantons and greasy pork fried rice. I for one will never order from them again. I mean the arrogance..... BA Calvo read more

I've never had a bad meal or experience there. Staff is helpful and friendly, I would recommend this place to anyone

If I could give a negative star I would. Just awful. The food, the service, the cleanliness . Coming from Chicago we were looking for our favorite eat in/carry out Chinese place. To say the least, this place is garbage. The food is awful, it's dirty and the service is not only nonexistent, but met with a nasty attitude. The only thing keeping this dump afloat is the crappy buffet that caters to the laborers looking for a cheap meal. I am not dissing them, just saying they have found their niche. I'd never go back as it is gross and disgusting. read more

The last time I went the food seemed like it was days old. It was awful. The employees are also very unfriendly.

The one star reviews of this place are most likely from entitled people who throw tantrums when they don't get their way. China Wok is the best cheap Chinese buffet I've ever been to. I've gone here many times and almost every time the food has been delicious. They have a very small selection but that seems to be for the best because what they do have is really great stuff. As for the service, I've only experienced polite and friendly staff every single time. And if you order takeout they make it fresh every time with very generous portions. =) read more

I was just hungry with the boys one day cruising around the springs and saw this wonderful little restaurant. I couldn't help but to notice the low pricing on the food and decided to try it out. Boy was I in a for a treat. The food was exemplary, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere was immense. Couldn't have picked a better lunch place for me and the boys. Do not take Robert A.'s review seriously. He's on some other stuff. read more

China Wok - Front of resturaunt - Chinese Near Me - Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Two visits in a row and every entre' from the buffet was cold. Wife mentioned to the female owner during check-out and we got excuses: warmer is on its highest setting, A/C made it cold, etc. etc. Sorry but not interested in food poisoning regardless of the reasons - spend the money and fix the issue. Next stop is to drop a line to the food inspectors; maybe the threat of being shut down or facing a hefty fine will perk up their "give a sh*t" factor... read more

Ordered take out. Food was so fresh, hot and egg rolls were crisp. Absolutely delicious.

this place is my favorite chinese restaurant in Mississippi. food is fresh and hot throughout the day and employees will make sure that you are taken care of read more

Dinner tonight was ruined by the pitiful buffet this place ran, and the rude manager. Everything was luke warm at best, Some stuff was room temperature. I Told the manager it wasn't acceptable to eat chicken, shrimp and other things like this. She didn't do anything and had the nerve to charge for the buffet and drink. Neither of which I had. Finally just paid for the drink so I could get out of there. Never going back again. There are plenty of other places to spend my hard earned money on. They don't even deserve a single star. read more

This is the ABSOLUTE WORSE place to eat at! I ate a piece of chicken and it was cold giving benefit of the doubt tried another piece thinking maybe it was just on top and the air. So i ate a different kind of chicken and same thing! I told the lady it was cold and never ate anything else after that! I was still charged 9 dollars after telling them it was cold, they never once checked any of the food on the line. Owners were RUDE! Zero stars!! read more

I hardly ever give out one star reviews at all, but seriously a Panda Express is a huuuuge step up from this place, and I almost never eat at a Panda Express. It was just kinda gross in every way. read more

China Wok - Just a bunch from the buffet. - Chinese Near Me - Ocean Springs, Mississippi

I went in for a take out. I was standing there and the cashier did not even acknowledge me. The lady in line told her that I was first. The cashier disregarded what she said and started to check her out. The cashier then asked what I wanted and I told her a to go order. She pointed to the to go boxes and kept checking the customer up. The customers at the table were so quiet and just watched. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a African American woman or not. It was so uncomfortable. I will not go there again. read more

I was on the way to the eye doctor a few days ago and was looking for a place to grab lunch. I pulled into a strip mall near the doctors office and found a small Chinese restaurant that had "$6.95 Buffet" plastered on the window. So being hungry and looking for something tasty and quick I decided to try it out. As I walked in it was a small but clean restaurant the buffet was very limited but I saw that they had an a le carte menu but decided to stay the course. I was seated at a small table and the service was excellent. I went up to the buffet and tried the double pork (***1/2 stars) the fried rice (** stars) the sweet and sour chicken (*** stars) the chicken on a stick (* star) and egg roll (* star) The chicken on a stick was severely dry and over cooked where as the egg roll was limp and greasy. SS chicken was meh ok as was everything else on my plate. All in all the service was good but the food left much to be desired. read more

I like the food. The only drawback is they don't take Amex and I collect points so I don't go there anymore

My husband and I decided to try China Wok on a Saturday night after getting their menu in the mail that day. We called and placed an order for takeout. Very polite on the phone and told us it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Once we arrived, I was told to hang on a minute so I waited. I waited almost 30 minutes for my food. When we got home and unpacked the bag I realized they'd made a mistake in our order. We had entree portions of the two meats but we'd ordered instead of combo platters that included fried rice and an egg roll. I called them back and said we'd gotten just meat entrees and none of these sides. They asked if I could come back and I said yes, assuming we'd get some fried rice and eggrolls and be on our way. Instead, the lady argued with us that we had ordered the entrees that came with white rice and not combos. We said that we did not and had ordered the combos and were told to come back for our fried rice and eggrolls. She kept insisting this was not what we ordered and even pointed to her slip of paper where she wrote down our order. I told her that she wrote the order down wrong and that they'd asked us to come back so we just wanted our fried rice and eggrolls. Then, she tried to bargain with us and said she'd give us the egg rolls and was practically yelling at us and everyone in the place was staring. But, they asked us to come back so I don't know why they were arguing. Finally, a younger waitresses stepped in and said she'd get us our eggolls and fried rice. I understand mistakes get made, especially with orders over the phone but when we called they were very quick to ask us to come back so I was expecting they wanted to correct the order NOT argue with us about the order. We got home and the food was ok. I thought the chicken in my cashew chicken was overcooked and had a slight burnt taste. Customer service was horrible, we won't be back again. We were treated like we were trying to get free food or rip them off. It was very bizarre. read more

Nothing special but fairly good food. My wife and I had the buffet around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, (not the best time for a buffet) and had a decent meal. Hot and sour soup was lukewarm but the egg drop soup was almost too hot to eat. Most of the items on the bar were picked over but you could still find enough to eat. Again, most items were lukewarm and nothing was very hot. I'm also not a fan of a preteen boy working bussing tables, acting as a server, and etc. while an adult sits in the back answering the phone and only coming up front to use the register. I thought child labor was against the law in the U.S. in a commercial environment. read more

Service is terrible here. Some of the most rude people I've ever encountered in the food industry are located here. The bathrooms are disgusting and the food is average at best. Seriously, I just had a terrible experience there where at 6 they were out of egg rolls and chicken and said "you get some when it's ready." Please don't ever eat here read more

AVOID this place at all costs! Had I used the bathroom before eating here, I would have not eaten here at all. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, sticky floor, peeling tiles, random PVC pipes doing who knows what. The liquid handsoap was basically a solid in the dispenser, and there is no way the waitress, who left the bathroom before me, washed her hands, as the sink was dry before I used it. Anyway, on to the food and service. My husband ordered the Ma Po Tofu, a dish that was in the vegetarian section of the menu. When it came it was covered in a beef sauce. When questioned about it, the waitress very confused and we sent it back explaining that we don't eat beef. They made a new dish which came out and looked completely different; the tofu was completely under-cooked, very soft and disgusting. So, my husband sent it back and explained it was undercooked and was not appetizing at all. The waitress and the hostess were very confused and finally came back and offered him a free buffet for dinner. Which he was unsure about but took since my son and I had already been eating. (I should note the food my son and I were eating was mediocre at best. The food on the buffet seems to have a lot of cross-contamination and the people coming from the kitchen that are handling the food are not using safe or healthy food handling practices). Later, a man came in and was eating off the buffet and the waitress and the hostess begin talking to him and seemed to know him. The only phrase we could make out was Ma Po Tofu. They said something about it to him and he sat down and they brought out the original plate of Ma Po Tofu with the beef sauce that they had served my husband which he had a bite of before realizing that it had beef on it. So they were serving plates that have been sent back to the kitchen to their friends in the dining room! Gross! Also, while eating, kitchen workers, still in aprons, would come out and make plates of food from the buffet, one of these men was wearing a tank top, which I'm sure is against health regulations. When we went to pay, my husband was charged for his free buffet and the waitress--who had offered him the free meal, denied it! She had offered it to him free and that is the only reason that we even stayed since he was having no luck with getting a decent meal there. We finally just paid for it so we could get out of there and will never ever return. And I will tell everyone I know what it awful disgusting place it is! read more

It is a small place so the buffet will be small. Not a problem. The two stars is because of the food. The sweet and sour was overcooked and rubbery, and cold. The general tso had an odd taste and was lukewarm. The mongolian beef was lukewarm as well and had no taste. It was like they smoked it and put it out. Other meat I tried was cold or lukewarm and/or had a funny taste. The only thing I really liked was the happy family. It had shrimp, corn, broccoli, and I believe it was squid. Still a little lukewarm though. Customer service was great despite the food. The ladies were very sweet and polite. But I also did notice small spots of mold on the ceiling. Just won't be back. read more
