I've visited Panda Palace twice in the last six months, at both local locations, and I've really enjoyed it both times. I know the Yelp reviews are mixed, but I think people need to keep perspective- this is a buffet. For a buffet, the food is consistently good. There's a wide variety: plenty of chicken dishes, a nice seafood selection, and a range of sides. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. My only real critique is toward the guests- some common courtesy would go a long way. I've seen people coughing or wiping their nose while walking around the buffet line, and it just would be nice if the establishment put up some signs to remind people. Overall, though, for a relaxed, affordable buffet, it's a solid spot, and I'd still recommend it. read more

I usually treat myself once a month with the buffet and soup to go. I just got home with my tray and was enjoying the fried rice with teriaky chicken and nearly bit down on a silver curly thing that looks like it came from a pot scrubber. This is a great place for a Chinese buffet. Please excuse this review. This is a great place to eat for your Chinese/American fare. I have been going here for years. They could use some improvements in my opinion. It is kinda hidden in the back by the theater in crossroads shopping mall. I believe they have another location in D'Iberville (the promenade) but I could be wrong. The food I got was excellent! Very fresh and hot because they just brought it out but even tho it was good ; but wasn't able to stay hot/warm when I went for a second round. The sweet tea (free refills) was fresh brewed but not sweet enough. I'm from the south, use to sweeter tea. I noticed this place is very busy for dine-in and long lines for to go orders too. They offer a dessert bar in the middle with salad bar and condiment station too surrounded by they regular offerings. They have fresh boiled shrimp and crawfish. I don't know about fresh blue crabs for just lunch. They make fresh sushi rolls in the back and a ice cream cups in a deep freezer in the back corner with popsicles. They don't offer WiFi and provide military discount with military ID only for the person and their spouse. Not the whole table. The seats are padded but don't expect couch. They have small parking lot in the front but don't be discouraged if can not find a spot if it is full. They have plenty of parking across the street. With that being said. The only good Chinese buffet in the Gulfport / Biloxi area. They have a very big selections of food to select from. I do recommend coming during their busy hours so the food is fresh. There's been a couple of times I've gone in between their lunch and dinner time and the food was not fresh. So, go during their busy time if you want fresh and hot food! Also they do offer crab legs on their buffet but, they only bring them out in 20 minute intervals. Probably because they have to cook them or because they want to keep the cost down. Very good food a great selection and always hot and fresh. Hard to find boiled shrimp on a buffet that you can peel. These are great size is right and way to peel. The vegetables are also perfect. This place was surprisingly good. It's a buffet which was cool because my significant other loves sushi and what not, and I'm not a huge fan. With things like pizza, chicken, rice, veggies and potatoes you can fill up on some stuff other than sushi and hibachi if that's not your number one. Full desert bar, which I should have tried first because by the end of it all I just didn't have the room in my stomach for it. Two years ago I gave this restaurant a terrible review -- right after it reopened after COVID. I went back today after a long absence and it had reverted to being my old favorite. The food was fresh and there was a wide variety. Although the price is somewhat higher ($17.10 for seniors) it is pretty much average for buffets in the area. One item that is not exactly Chinese was the crawfish with small ears of corn. The corn picked up the flavor of the crawfish boil and was spicy and delicious. All in all a great meal. read more

tuesday, 4/23/2024, i witnessed a panda palace employee in gulfport mississippi (not the manager) attempting to charge an african american lady) $18 for the buffet when only cost $14.59 with tax it is $15.61. obviously, she is a regular. she asked why she was being singled out because they never charge anyone else except she and her son more for the buffet and they would charge them a $1extra when they should not be charged any increase since they do not monitor or charge anyone elase for an all seafood buffet plate. she also explained that when they increased their buffet to $14.59, the most she or her son has paid is $16.68 which is discrimination!! he ended up charging her the $16.68. when she was leaving she asked him for his name and job title and he just to act all nice and explain how expensive seafood is. she told him that that was not the issue since no one else was being charge! by the way, they did not charge me extra and i has all seafood in my takeout plate!! a p.s. he did not even know how to add the price increase because he makes suahi. he had to get the african american lady escorting customers to their tables to help which she also told him that she had no idea why or how they were entering that charge in the cash registed. so she just fixed it so it would print a ticket for $16.68. these people need to reported and audited!! i would very much like to help this lady who told me she was 59 years old!!! who can i report these discriminating people to??? read more

Me and my husband went out to eat. We never do this cause of financial reasons. He wanted crawfish and I want Chinese so we called they had it and we went. Worst waste of 17.97 ever. I truly couldn't even eat the Hong Kong chicken it was old and hard and stringy. It's hard to believe they would put two week old left overs out on one of their busiest nights of the year. The rice was greasy and the noodles were about the only thing decent. The crawfish were soggy and tasteless no seasoning. The only thing I can say positive is that the waiter was nice. Even the deserts weren't good everything was just not fresh or not cooked right. Very disappointing and I am a very easy person to please I eat just about anything. I got my favorites: Fried shrimp Pepper shrimp coconut shrimp Shrimp with meat around it. salmon Pepper chicken salt and pepper crabs I hate to say but all of it was terrible! The food was hot and fresh but they have changed the recipe or something cause everything just tasted bad and looked different than before. Went for Sunday lunch. Place is clean but may have more options during dinner time. They had fried blue crab amd boil, and other seafood which is worth it but went due to pics of sushi and they ONLY had variations of California roll and nothing like pics of salmon or tuna.. staff was prompt and nice. And it was cheaper I'm sure than most buffets (under $15 for lunch). Not bad overall for price. But if ur craving sushi or steamed crab legs would go for dinner or pay more for better/bigger selection buffets. read more

All of the buffet foods were fresh and the restaurant was clean. We preordered and all of the food was cooked to order. We were pleased.

If zero stars was an option, I would have chosen that. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AND I WILL SHARE THIS WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE. They were terribly rude to an elderly veteran recently who was visibly over 80 and simply requesting his senior citizens discount. I've since heard of this happening other times. I've also seen some of the staff posting comments on a Facebook post concerning this matter that are belligerent and unapologetic. This is inexcusable! The manager needs to be fired and they need to clean house from there. The food is mediocre and over priced compared to some of our other Chinese Buffets. They are not the only game in town. Please take a moment to test this idea. Take out your phone and call them, ask to speak to the manager, then see if you get him on the phone or if they just hang up on you over and over. The food is left sitting out unchanged from first thing in the morning until closing time, from the taste of it yesterday's food may in fact be today's as well. There are flies by the dozens and WILL aggressively fight you for their share of your meal. The option to purchase a plate to go is in fact just for certain food followed by an extra two dollars for this and then another extra three dollars for that. This IS an all you can eat buffet, right? I was confused about it until I noticed how well versed at communication the manager is... That is, using vulgar language and telling me to pick a different restaurant if I don't like it. Well sir, I think I will from now on... So here I go yelping about another Chinese buffet that isn't your ordinary "buffet". Just south of the movie theater at the Crossroads, is a casino inspired Chinese buffet. Now what is a "casino inspired" buffet you may ask? Well if you are no stranger to the Coast you will know exactly what I am talking about. But for those new to the area or just visiting, I am talking about a buffet with nice high end furniture, carousal style buffet line and large plasma TVs in the dining area. PP is just as nice if not better than the buffet I yelped about in D'iberville a few weeks back. They offer buffet style Chinese food or traditional dining entrees. Enjoy your fill of Chinese food favorites or order of of their very delicious and moderately priced a la carte menu. You can also come in and have a take out sushi order prepared for about $7.00 and the maki rolls and sashimi are actually pretty good. I started my meal with some crunchy rolls (*** stars) and some yellowtail (*** stars) and eel (***stars) all was not bad but they could have had some soy sauce bowls instead of the plastic condiment containers. They had a pretty good Christmas roll (*** stars) and the Boston roll (*** stars) was something I had never tried. Now don't get me wrong, the sushi here is no comparison to Samauri or Fatsumo, but then again they also wont put the same type of dent in your pocketbook. Once I was done with the sushi, I tried a little of their duck and vegetables (*** stars) and seared pork chops (**** stars) The spring rolls (*** stars) were ok and the table service was very prompt. Now you are probably wondering how I can give a buffet where the food was all rated about *** stars got a **** star rating. My only response is, "Location, Presentation and Service".
