I was in a strong mood for chinese food and this restaurant was on my list to try out so I decided why not. Oh my gosh the Sesame Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and Egg roll that I purchased for luncj was absolutely amazing and delicious. It's not every day I find such great chinese food like that so that day was definitely a treat. Highly recommend New China. It's not that hard to find. It's right next to Publix. :) read more

If you order from here, you better love rice! Also, be prepared to season your food when you get it home. I ordered C1, which is supposed to be Chicken Chow Mein. What I got was a big tub of...yellow rice with the most bland, tasteless vegetables and grey chicken ever. No noodles! Chicken Chow Mein...no noodles! Rice. That bland yellow rice. I highly recommend New China located next to Publix. There food is delicious, excellent lunch combo meal, and food is always hot and fresh. I have never had a negative experience at New China. First time tried New China so ordered via their takeout menu. Very easy to order online. Then it went downhill. The Shrimp Egg Rolls were over cooked and very mushy inside. The Chef Special August Moon was a huge disappointment. The description said Lobster, Shrimp, scallops in lobster sauce. Aside from about a dozen peas and a lot of gooey lobster sauce, the majority of content was imitation crab meat! Other items n the menu indicated crab meat but not this offering. The few shrimp were over cooked, there was a whispering if lobster and only 2 or 3 tiny scallops. I couldn't eat the imitation crab meat as it doesn't agree with me. However my husband did and he said it was over cooked and gummy. read more

Pretty good Chinese food always fast and hot. Variety is strong would love scallion pancake or walnut shrimp even if it was a special.

Great prices and very friendly staff got the house special Chow Fun, entree was packed full of protein. For the price you cannot beat this. The choices on the menu are endless. I wanted a quick meal with rice and this place popped up on my yelp search. I called in an order for Szechuan tofu. When I arrived I was greeted by a C rating on the door. Yikes! I almost turned around and walked away. However, there were people inside and someone came in right behind me. I figured if they're eating it, I can too. I took my meal home to eat. Surprisingly, it had plenty of veggies in it. The tofu was fried well, but the taste was just ok. I was hungry and still ate most of the meal. I may pop back over once their rating increases, but for now I think I'm done with fast food Chinese for awhile. read more

I don't know what's going on here. The sweet n sour chicken is the best Aiken offers. The last time I went, I ordered almond chicken. Big mistake!!! It was so awful I threw it out. They use dark meat chicken which I expected but it was tiny and fried way too hard. The meat looked black, yuk. And I don't know what the breading was. Also, there was no almonds and the gravy was mostly water with zero taste. They changed their egg rolls too. I'm on the fence about them. I like to get them when I go to Publix. An egg roll can pretty much be a meal for me. Their staff was not friendly at all. The lady put out a bad vibe. Hope it was because she was having a bad day. I hope that doesn't continue. I love Chinese food and decided to give this one a try. I ordered, what I thought, was fried rice...no not so much. It was yellow rice, with some egg and carrots and peas, yes -- but it seemed to be more boiled (steamed, maybe?), and not the traditional "fried rice" one thinks of. Yuck. Ordered takeout and what was supposed to have shrimp, lobster and scallops contained only shrimp (horribly over cooked) and that fake crab meat. I called back to complain and the poor woman on the phone tried to tell the owner/cook and all he did was scream at her. I could hear this in the background. SHE apologized but said the owner doesn't care. I could bring it back if I wanted but there would be no exchanges or refunds. I didn't care about the $12, it was the experience that turned me off forever. If the owner doesn't care if his food is inedible, we'll then I will certainly never bother with this restaurant again. Oh, and it's not like my husband's food was all that good either. Just average and greasy. read more

They are fast. They are the closest to me of all the many Chinese Restaurants in Aiken. I have never gotten sick from eating their food. My wife went to the dentist and wants soup. They make good soup. I ordered the large so their will be some left over. She wants the Chicken Lo-Mien for later also. I ordered Chicken with many vegetables. It has always come with plenty of vegetables. Prices are not high. read more
