Everything we get from there is delicious. Our only complaint is they don't have delivery.

We spent Memorial Day weekend afternoon at Port of Call in the Catskills and ended up staying for…read morehours because the atmosphere was just so pretty sitting right on the water. I also have to say -- I genuinely do not understand some of the comments saying the waitstaff were rude or uninviting. Every female waitress we encountered was beyond gorgeous, cheerful, smiling constantly, and so kind to both me and my older great aunt. We got so many sweet compliments throughout the day and everyone made us feel very welcome. Michelle behind the bar was especially lovely and pours a STRONG drink, which we appreciated Honestly, I'm surprised they weren't busier for Memorial Day weekend, although maybe the bigger crowd came earlier in the day. Food-wise, the appetizers and seafood specials were very satisfying and obviously fresh. We ordered the crab cakes, soft shell crab special, their clam special (half clam casino / half clam oreganata), and a Bloody Mary topped with what had to be 12 shrimp. The crab dishes especially were fantastic -- those crab cakes were PACKED with crab and tasted incredibly fresh. I do want to leave a couple honest criticisms though. I was not impressed with the mussels in white wine sauce, despite multiple waitresses recommending them. This is a dish I order frequently in NYC and Long Island, so maybe my standards are high, but the sauce was unusually sweet -- my great aunt noticed it immediately too. It almost tasted like a sweet white wine was used, which just doesn't work for this kind of dish. The wine either tasted low quality or maybe wasn't cooked off enough. One other thing that disappointed me: the drawn butter is definitely not real butter. It tasted like a vegetable oil-based substitute. For a seafood restaurant serving fresh crab and lobster, I really think real butter should be standard. That said, I would absolutely come back here for the vibes alone. Beautiful waterfront setting, friendly staff, strong drinks, and fresh seafood made for such a relaxing holiday afternoon.

We were sat at a large table on the huge patio, and it was good, even though the live music ended a bit early. Our server was lovely, her smile never faltering even when my mother insisted we sing for a birthday boy at the table. Personally, I want to eat seafood anytime I'm near the water, and this was no exception. We shared oysters (solid, but very pricey), baked clams (quite small, but tasty enough), sesame crusted ahi tuna (solid), a beet salad special (well balanced and one of the best things we had), and fish and chips for my kids (solid). In the future, I'll probably stick with starters because those were a better bet than the mains. We shared the Cod Mediterranean and the Honey Soy Glazed Salmon. Both dishes were undersized, underseasoned, and overcooked. That's a bad combination. If I have anything to say about it, and I usually don't, we'll be back for drinks and apps but forego the mains next time.

Well, at least we kept our word today when we ordered their two different bowls for takeout. My wife ordered the Fishbowl ($30) with the grilled fish of the day (salmon), cherry tomatoes, quinoa, feta, peaches, arugula, and basil lime vinaigrette (she said no to onions). She could not get over how tasty the quinoa tasted and wondered how they prepared it. She also thought the peaches could have been a little sweeter since we are in prime peach season. While the salmon was just slightly overcooked we'll attribute that to it continuing to cook as we drove the meals home. Even with those minor negatives, she said she would definitely order the dish again. I chose the Poke Bowl ($35) for my meal (my first ever poke bowl) with marinated raw tuna and salmon, edamame, cucumber, watermelon radish, snap peas, nori, avocado, sesame seeds, scallions, and pea tendrils, all over sushi rice with ginger gochugaru oil and soy sauce on the side. This was absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful blend of fresh flavors and textures. If I have another poke bowl somewhere else I only hope it can come close to measuring up to the enjoyment I experienced with this one.

It offers a warm, old-world Italian dining experience. The atmosphere is inviting and unhurried, creating a comfortable, welcoming setting where you can settle in and enjoy the evening. The waitstaff was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and thoughtful about every detail, from keeping our water glasses filled to bringing out fresh bread. Served with smooth, savory garlic butter, the bread was warm, fragrant, and so satisfying it could easily stand on its own. I had the stuffed eggplant Parmesan, served with a salad and their creamy homemade house dressing. The dressing had a rich, balanced flavor and was an absolute highlight. My wife had the eggplant Parmesan, and we both chose the linguine. The marinara sauce was rich and flavorful, with the comforting taste and texture of a carefully prepared homemade sauce that complemented the pasta beautifully. Their wine list was wonderful, with an excellent selection to complement the meal. I enjoyed a delicious classic Chianti, which paired perfectly with the food. La Conca D'Oro is more than just a place to eat--it's somewhere to sit, talk, relax, and enjoy the people you're with. The experience reminded me of dining in Italy, where a meal isn't rushed but given time to unfold. Don't come expecting fast food; come prepared to slow down, savor each course, and enjoy a thoughtfully prepared Italian meal.

Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

The large outdoor seating area overlooks the beautiful Hudson River, making it the perfect place to relax while watching boats cruise by, water skiers in action, or simply enjoying the peaceful waterfront views. There's also a spacious gazebo-style seating area that's perfect for taking pictures. If outdoor dining isn't your thing, there's plenty of comfortable indoor seating as well. The menu features classic American favorites, occasional prime rib specials, weekly specials, and a full bar. During my visit, we ordered the fish and chips with onion rings to share. The fish was light, flaky, and perfectly crispy, and the fries were delicious. The only thing I would change is that the onion rings seemed to have extra salt sprinkled on them. They were still good, but I'd prefer to season them myself. For dessert, we tried the lemon cake and the strawberry cake. Both were absolutely delicious! I personally can't eat strawberries, so be sure to check out my video for the live dessert tasting. This is definitely going into my regular summer rotation--especially on evenings when they have live music or a band playing. For mains my guests had the fried sampler platter, broiled and cajuned shrimp and scallops, and I had the prime rib added scallops at $3 each. My prime rib was tasty and substantial but the temperature was just warm, not hot, and therefore had to be sent back. Once corrected the meal was great. Scallops were small but they gave me double the amount at the same price because of the size. The sides were mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts which were seasoned well and tasted great. Sprouts were tender but not mushy. Potatoes were tasty with a good intentional lumpiness that I appreciated. Also tried the lavender lemonade mocktail which was delicious. Decided against adding the one pound of King Crab as the market price was $99 and I can get a bag of two pounds for $70. We didn't do dessert but will next time were in the area because the slices of chocolate cake we saw were HUGE and the varieties looked scrumptious. Service was pleasant although there was a long block of time after we received our food where we were looking for the waitress so we could pay. The busser ended up pitching in. Overall, great food and service with older, living room vibe decor. Would recommend!
