I called to order for pick up and the Chinese man who worked on that day didn't understand what I wanted. Couldn't complain since only one Chinese place was opened by 20 minutes droved from my hotel. Because it is a pickup restaurant, so they don't have restroom for a customer. Food was ok, I had worse than this before. I leave in NYC and just had a short vacation in upstate NY. I was preparing to the fact that if you come to upstate during weekday, you won't have lots of option to eat. Many of good restaurants weren't opened. Anyway, after I got my food. This food is FIRE. Absolutely delicious old school chinese food. We ordered it twice on our trip to Hunter.

Solid place for take out. They are patient and friendly. Can you find better Chinese food? Definitely. But when you have a craving for some American Chinese take out, they will not disappoint. Food was classic Chinese takeout- tasty and satisfying after a day of skiing. Delivered right to our hotel room door at the ski lodge. Call to order, 90s style. :) We had the house special lo mein, Kung Pao chicken, chicken and broccoli, hot and sour soup, and sesame chicken. Super delicious food! Excellent service and I will really appreciate them for that because we were new to the area and on vacation and they helped us out with some local grocery delivery as well! AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE DENTAL WORK DONE AFTER. I have tried this place twice, and on both occasions the chicken I got was Equivalent to a dentist drill going at your teeth. The taste was off but hey I got a free teeth cleaning by eating, that's impressive for a fat man. A friend off mine ordered too and actually cracked a tooth because of this place and had to get work done. We spend summers at Hunter and order takeout here at least once a week. The food is "typical" Chinese takeout. Having said that, everything we have tried has been well prepared, tasty, and the containers are overfilled. Service is quick and the owners are friendly. What else do you need from a takeout place? I wasn't impressed with the food or the service. I made the mistake of trying this place when my favorite Chinese Restaurant in nearby Tannersville was closed that day, and I still regret it. The man and woman behind the counter acted as though they were doing me a big favor by taking the time to wait on me. I almost felt like I was interrupting a private viewing. I had to sign up for yelp just to warn people away from this place. I've been here a few times over the past few years. Your typical chinese takeout. Today I ordered Chicken Szechuan and General Tso's for lunch. Got home and the chicken in the szechuan was not undercooked, it was raw. I've gotten undercooked chicken from restaurants before, never like this. The General Tso had a big white chunk of what i thought might be chicken bone or a chili. I picked it apart and it was a conglomerate of eggshell. I can accept a little eggshell in a dish from fast food. It happens. This was a massive clump of eggshell, like a rock. Can't even imagine how it could have gotten like that. I feel bad for this family, they have kids working there and obviously it's not a real moneymaker, but still. Have some integrity with the food quality, you might at least hold onto a customer or two. read more
