After having a long day of getting lost in the streets of Venice on a Saturday, my husband and I ended up at this place because other restaurants we tried were already full. And we couldn't be happier with our blind luck.
Service was a bit slow, but later the ower (? I am assuming he is the owner) apologized that they just opened 10 days ago and still getting organized. He was pleasant enough and the young server was very helpful.
About the food. We tried raw seafood for an appetizer and the prawn was too die for! Of course all the seafood we had in Venice was very fresh and top quality, but something about the prawn was just so perfect. For main course we had grilled fish and spaghetti with squid ink. The fish was grilled in such perfection so the outside was crispy and inside was tender. I have had many fried fish before but this one was hands down the best grilled fish ever. The spaghetti was cooked al dante and the squid pieces were very tender and tasty.
After we finished our food we were so full that we weren't gonna have any dessert. But the ower recommended chocolate "salami" so we bravely accepted the challenge. I will tell you this. I will never get another dessert as good as that. The sweetness, the texture, the presentation, and the story behind it is just beautiful.
I am not a drinker so I can't say anything about their wine selection but my husband had the white house wine and he enjoyed it very much. Pricing wasn't bad either.
Overall, the whole experience was very memorable, so although there were a few minor hiccups (such as, my husband originally ordered red wine but instead was served white. But he liked it enough to not say anything) I am gladly giving it 5 stars. read more
