Absolutely still the best neveria in Denver! the mangofresada is the best! the texture is incredible and the chunks added to it are perfectly placed throughout. It always tastes so fresh and hits the spot! I also get the hot Cheetos Craving with corn and nacho cheese! It's such a big portion and so good! The staff are so kind and put your snacks together so quickly! the space is pretty big and clean. I will absolutely keep coming back here. read more

This is still the best neveria I have ever been to and the only mangonada I will eat now! There is not always someone fluent in English when you come, and I know that can be intimidating. So when you want to order simply say "me (mee) gustaria (goose-ta-rhia) " (I would like) before whatever item you would like and then add "grande" (large) or "pequeno" (small) at the end. Finish it off with "por favor" (thank you) to politely order whatever you want! For example - I want a large mangonada please would be "me gustaria una mangonada grande Por favor" Hopefully this helps! read more

The chamango was soooo refreshing and good! The service is a little slower, but it's due to everything being made on the spot and, in my opinion, totally worth it. I have never been in before but I'll be back to try something else. Some of the shakes other ordered looked read more

Love this lil shop, their mangonadas are good. Their waters are refreshing as well. Great little spot to grab a snack

Took my parents here. They have a variety of ice cream flavors, plus traditional Mexican fruit cups. The woman working was super nice. I got a scoop of coconut ice cream. They also have squeezers of lime sauce and hot sauce. The lime sauce was good on the coconut ice cream. I didn't know what the hot sauce was and tried a little. read more

I was on a search for something cool and refreshing on this 97 degree day in Denver and I'm so glad I found this place. They have a variety of ice cream and snacks but I went for a paleta (a popsicle or ice cream bar) and an agua fresca (fresh homemade juices). Neither of them disappointed. I opted for a pineapple paleta and it was just the perfect amount of sweetness and you can definitely tell that they were made in store. I got an agua de pepino which is like a lemonade with cucumber and it was so refreshing and yummy. They have other flavors but this one is just what you need on a hot summer day. Staff was friendly and great! read more

This place is great! We came here late evening for dessert and really enjoyed what we had ordered. We ordered the churro waffle with baileys salted ice cream and it was delicious. I really like that the waffle was soft and fluffy because you don't feel TOO guilty eating it - less heavy, ya know? I'm pretty impressed that they make their own ice cream in house and had really unique flavors such as tequila. Service was a bit slow, but that's only because the patrons in line ordered like... 3 to 4 items each and there were only 3 employees. I like the cleanliness of this establishment and that they had a nice variety of Mexican desserts - staff was friendly too! I definitely would like to come back here and try something out of the ordinary that I don't typically eat. Probably something with mangoes because I LOVE mangoes. *thumbs up!* read more

Neveria La Mexicana - Nieve - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This spot felt like it could easily explode into a chain with locations popping up in cities like... I dunno, Indy? we had the hardest time deciding what to order after drooling over the menu and watching the women buzz around making fruit salads, fresas con crema (strawberries with made in house cream), mangonadas, chicharrones (with cheese topping), homemade ice cream, and paletas. This fruit forward menu resulted in a beautiful display. We ended up ordering a large mangonada to share (it was quite large). If you're new to mangonadas, they include mango sorbet, tamarind, chili spice, chamoy and chunks of fresh mango. The straw was wrapped with spicy and delicious tamarind. Thanks to this visit, I was reminded of a spot we enjoy in Indy for Mexican desserts. While there, the line did not stop and I can understand why. read more

Small shop with nice staff & very quick! I had fresas con crema & my fiancé had a mangonada. Both menu items were 10/10

We didn't know what to order. The lady was rude. She explained some options but in an annoyed way.

This place is amazing. Ladies running the counter are friendly and made us feel welcome. We are from Southern California and eat this and this is better than some places we have at home! read more

AMAZING PLACE!!! This Neveria would get 10 stars from me if I could. It's a little slice of Latin dessert heaven right in Stapleton. + They have a variety of Latin desserts - from bionicos to sundaes to fresas con crema, they're likely to have something you'll like. Most of the things are very shareable since the serving size is pretty large. Or you don't have to share, that's fine too. + The ice cream flavors a very delicious and unique - you'll definitely want to try those! My favorite was nuez (it has real pecans in it). + The aguas frescas look so refreshing and the flavors are amazing - I'll definitely try one next time I go. They also have snacks for purchase. - The place is small and unfortunately we didn't find seating (an outdoor patio would be awesome but they don't have the space). read more

I love Mexican ice cream. For the simple reason that they make it right. They don't worry about fat free this or low this and that. I'm a purist with my ice cream. I want them super creamy. I almost hate anything in them. But hate being such a strong word I will say I don't like anything on or in my ice cream. This is good but I don't know why but it's not the creamy one that I'm used to in the Bay Area. I went for their coconut ice cream. My taste test anywhere they call themselves a Neveria. I am moving on. This place though is clean, well lit and big. They also make the usual fruit smoothie and the other regular dessert. They take cc. read more

Super slow service. They take their time here, which is good in that your order will be correct, but bad if you're pressed for time. We ordered 5 different flavors of ice cream, and all of them were ok, but honestly I've had better from King Soopers. They have a good variety but none of the flavors we tried made us want to come back again. I'd rather have a smaller variety of quality ice cream than a huge variety of mediocre ice cream. Reading other reviews though, it seems that their other offerings might be worth the visit. But the ice cream? Nope. On the plus side, it was very clean and modern looking inside. They don't have menu boards anymore- it's been replaced by TV screens showing the menu. There's 2 small tables inside but no outdoor seating. There's a few spots in front for street parking and then a parking lot further around the corner. read more

Why have I not been here before?? Excellent ice cream and fresh sorbet. I tried the mango chile and the coconut. Both were so delicious and fresh. Perfect for a hot summer day and only $3.50 for TWO scoops. What?! Can't wait to come back with the family. Located on 36th near SAMs and diagonal from Buffalo Wild Wings. There is parking directly in front... Although I never noticed it before. It was a bit odd to see an ice cream sign outside and then pictures of shrimp cocktails and nachos on the front menu board. I was stumped. Heck I could not even find the prices for a scoop of ice cream but so happy with what I ordered and it was crazy affordable. My tip is not to look at the menu board, instead just look at the yummy ice cream selection in the cases. Please stop in and give it a try next time your in the mood for ice cream. I want this place to stick around. Can't wait to go back. read more

I love the ice cream here. And the people. And the snacks. I took my friend here, who loves ice cream, and she said "I love this more than Sweet !" Fresh fruits, ice cream, gelato, slushes, and more! What else can you ask for? Plus, it's quite clean and always looking new. I often crave their Chamoyada while my husband loves their Chamango, which includes freshly cut mango slices. The sweet, sour, and spice flavors are the perfect trio for any dessert.. For me anyways, haha. My kids enjoy their popsicles and gobble them up quite fast.. normally, before we even check out and pay. They usually get strawberry popsicles with actual strawberry chunks inside of it (they make their popsicles with either water or milk, it's always good to have options). Price is great for their portions too. Chamango and Chamoyada have two sizes to choose from, small is plenty for two people, which is around $4.50-$5.50. Only con is there isn't enough seating but that's only because many people and their families go so it never seems to be slow. Oh, they also serve food too! But I always get distracted by their desserts to really glance at their food menu, haha. My family and I will be back.. again and again. read more

Closing and open times are never consistent. Also don't advertise those concha's if you never have them.

it's uniqueness that sets this place apart from other ice cream parlors. mix of asian pops (hand made icicles very popular in Asia) and unique blend of ice creams flavors and of course,... after looking at one of the fellow Yelper book marked this one and it was near me, I had to make the trip and try their signature offering. Chamango! what I ended up getting was different than the picture from others but as time passed, must adapted to version that makes more sense? I was hoping to see well ripe mango slices but it was semi frozen mango cubes. :( it was still awesome for hot day. the mixture of sweet, salty and not too forget, spiciness. I will be back more to try other offerings. mango chilli, wait for me! read more

This neveria is so goo you get a great quality of snack and they're especially worth it in the Summer from the aguas frescas to the ice cream and sorbets. The mango slices were so juicy and sweet, and I loved the combination of spicy, sweet, and sour in the drink. It really hits the spot on a hot day. Wow, I loved this place! I had visited their other location a couple of times and had no idea this one was just blocks away from mom's house. Everything just looks so exquisite and let me tell you from what I had it was! I sampled their mango chili, lullo and strawberry sorbet and all three were bursting with flavor. I ended up with a single scoop of the strawberry and a small chamango which is what I usually got at their other store. It's like a mango slush/Sorbet with lots of chili and lime, topped off with fresh mango slices...yummm! I took a couple ice cream bars with me, coconut, watermelon and of course, mango chili. They also offer other flavors but the fruity ones are the ones that get to me. Staff was very friendly and made sampling very comfortable.
