The waffle was fun, but goodness that was a lot of chocolate haha. Fiancé really liked his turkey mushroom crepe. Service was good and I really loved seeing the bookshelf filled with kids books, and even had a shelf for English and a shelf for Spanish. Warmed my heart to see a little boy go over and grab one rather than being on a tablet! 100% going to be coming back. Though suppose I have to throw in some other things - food took a lil while longer than expected, and our coffees and water cups didn't come until after the food. Nevertheless, the food was so good and high quality that we sorta forgot about it

I had a very disappointing experience with the owner of this ice cream shop…read more I was parked in a shared parking space in front of her shop after making a purchase at the neighboring store. I had gotten into my car but had not left yet because I was placing a quick online dinner order for my family. A truck pulled up behind me and started honking. At this time, there was still enough room for me to leave. I continued finishing my family's dinner order. After more honking, the driver pulled around and parked perpendicular behind my car, blocking me in completely. The person driving the truck then got out, walked to my window visibly upset, and started knocking on it. I rolled my window down and she proceeded to tell me she owned the shop in front of the parking space and needed to bring heavy items inside from her truck. Mind you, the parking space is NOT marked as reserved for her business. There were also plenty other parking spaces open that were still really close to the front of her shop. I told her I was in the middle of something and was not ready to leave the parking space yet. She then went inside her store. About 11 minutes passed while I remained blocked in. She had patrons inside her store and was already upset so I was not about to go inside to confront her. While I was literally just about to make a call to either contact the non emergency local police or tow company, she finally came back outside and came to my window again and asked, "Are you ready?" I asked, "Ready for what?" She said, "Ready to move your car." I then asked why she felt it was appropriate to block me in. She repeated that she needed to bring heavy items into the store. I responded that I obviously could not move my car while her truck was blocking me in. She just stood there for a moment with this smirk on her face then finally got in her truck and moved out of my way. What bothered me most was not that she needed to unload items, but the way she handled the situation. Honking repeatedly, blocking my vehicle, banging on my window, and speaking to me in a confrontational manner. I actually would not have minded moving my car had she approached me in a friendly manner. I saw in another review, she has a sign up in her shop that says, "Do all things with love." Unfortunately, that was not reflected in the way this situation was handled. What's ironic is that when I first parked my car I noticed her shop and signage and said to myself that I'd like to come in and try it one day. I believe small businesses deserve support. Women owned and Hispanic owned nonetheless...but after this experience, neither myself or my family will ever step foot in this establishment.

A DAY OUT WITH HUBBY AND BABY GIRL!…read more After eating dinner at Pizzaiolo's with our baby girl, hubby decided to treat us to some delicious ice cream at Suncity Ice Cream Shop. I'm sure glad that he did because our little baby was so excited to get an ice cream cone. Her little innocent face lit up as we walked into the ice cream shop and her eyes grew larger than the size of golf balls as she scanned the room, which was equipped with all sorts of goodies, snacks, toys, and table games. Although lacking the fanciness and extravagances of other ice cream parlors, this shop has a more down-to-earth vibe and feels like home. Suncity Ice Cream Shop is located in the Tomball area right around the corner from Hockley TX. It is neighbor to an array of other businesses such as Civic Liquor store, Pizzaiolo's restaurant, Las Fuentes Mexican Restaurant, Smoke Heaven Smoke Shop, and more. Upon entering, we were greeted by two ladies who were very friendly and welcoming. I regret that I did not get their names because they were so kind and patient with us. Although this establishment is an ice cream shop, they also offer other items on the menu, such as nachos, elote, sodas, candy, chips, frozen yogurt, sherbet, and more. Furthermore, this place is a kid's visual sweet wonderland with an atmosphere filled with bright and colorful decor and rainbow hues, joyful and exciting sounds of other kids laughing and chattering. They have rows and rows of ice cream flavors in different colors on display which so easily captures the attention of children and instantly brightens up their world. Then there's toppings available, such as sprinkles, gummy bears, chocolate fudge, chocolate chips, and more! It's a thrilling sensation not for just kids, but for adults as well while you're watching the server scoop your favorite ice cream flavor into a waffle cone and top it with your fav toppings! My little baby girl was filled with pure happiness and excitement as she held her ice cream cone in her hand filled with her favorite flavor, vanilla. See for yourself in the photos. The pictures do not lie, lol. Moreover, this establishment is tiny with a small dining room. However, like I stated before, the ambience is very inviting and comfortable. The dining tables were clean and each table was provided with a game for the enjoyment and pleasure for customers to partake in while dining. There's checkers, chess, uno cards, tic tac toe, and dominos. Hubby and I did not get a cone but instead a cup of pistachio flavored ice cream with almonds. It was absolutely delicious! The texture of the ice cream was thick and smooth possessing a rich and sweet milky palate. It was like sweet-cream-heaven in a small cup on a hot summer day. Overall, the three of us, hubby, babygirl, and I enjoyed our dining experience at Suncity Ice Cream shop. It was a rare treat for me because I try not to indulge in the wickedly and sinfully delicious flavors of ice cream, especially the pistachio flavor. It will have you committing one of the seven deadly sins for real, gluttony!!! Try this place at your own risk, but don't say I didn't warn you. It's a great spot for teenagers, families, dates, or even if you're all alone and in the mood for some good ol' tasty and flavorful ice cream. You will not be bored, trust me. I highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys the magical pleasures of holding a cone or a cup of their favorite treat in their hands. You can't go wrong with ice cream, especially ice cream as delicious as the flavors that are provided at this establishment. It'll make everything as right as rain. Parking is plentiful and there's other places you can visit while in the area. You can have dinner at Las Fuentes or Pizzaiolo's and then walk over to Suncity Ice Cream Shop and enjoy some delicious dessert! Five Stars for this shop and we will definitely be going back in the future.

And pass by I do, usually opting for more indulgent Connies custard, but today I was an adult and grabbed a suitable portion of froyo. The interior and product quality of this Orange Leaf was like any other. The store was clean, seating was available, the machines were arranged in that iconic half moon pattern, and the toppings predictably followed. The only thing that differed was the offerings. Vanilla and chocolate were available of course, but a handful of machines were label less, not set to distribute froyo. While they offered a fudge sauce, classic flavors like mango and caramel remained absent, and Reese's pieces and Butterfinger replaced Reese's peanut butter cups. Overall, these changes are somewhat minor, however, when I choose to splurge with a sweet froyo treat, my return visit hinges on the service, cleanliness, quality, and variety of the product. I did nevertheless create a delicious little treat, but certainly missed the absent offerings, chocolate + caramel or chocolate + Dulce de leches yogurt would have really hit the spot.

Good sized burger, bacon was crisp, sauce had that smoky-sweet kick, and the fries were hot. She ordered the shrimp soft tacos -- fresh, plenty of topping, and they came out looking like they should. We finished with a slice of the Celebration Cheesecake. That's the colorful layered one with the sprinkles and whipped cream. Rich, not too heavy, and a nice way to end it. The water spill itself was an accident, and we completely understand that accidents happen…read more Unfortunately, what was most disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. A runner accidentally spilled two glasses of ice-cold water, leaving my partner with half of his pants and underwear soaked. His first response was to explain why it happened rather than apologize. The staff did clean up the water quickly, and the busboy deserves recognition for being especially attentive in cleaning the table, seat, and floor. Unfortunately, a young child even slipped nearby afterward while there were no wet-floor caution signs. What really bothered us was the lack of care toward my partner. He had to stand up and move out of the way while his wet seat was cleaned and had to ask for towels himself. Our waiter was otherwise nice, but seemed avoidant throughout and afterward. He never genuinely checked on my partner or asked if he was okay. His only passing check-in was asking "How's everything so far?" while walking by without stopping, and when we didn't respond, he continued walking and said, "That's so great." At the end of the meal, there was still no acknowledgment or apology, and we had to ask for a manager ourselves. The runner's comment also left a particularly bad impression. When he overheard us asking whether something could be done about the inconvenience, he walked away saying, "haha, let me get out of here before you get me in trouble." Given that my partner was genuinely uncomfortable and frustrated, this felt extremely unprofessional and insensitive. The manager did apologize, which we appreciated, but the resolution felt more like an attempt to quickly close the complaint than genuinely understand what happened. There was no apparent attempt to ask who was involved or address the inappropriate comment made by the runner. He offered to cover dry-cleaning costs, which wasn't particularly practical at ~10 PM, and then offered dessert, which my partner didn't even want. This was never about expecting a free meal because of an accidental spill. It was about empathy and service recovery. A simple "I'm so sorry this happened. I can only imagine how uncomfortable you must be sitting here cold and wet. Let me get you some towels," followed by checking back later, would have made a huge difference. Mistakes happen. How you handle them is what matters. Cleaning up the water addressed the mess, but it didn't address the customer who had just been soaked. I hope management uses this experience as an opportunity to retrain staff on basic customer service, accountability, and especially service recovery. The busboy showed the attentiveness we would have expected from the rest of the team, but unfortunately the overall handling of the situation left us very disappointed.
