Walked over from the truckstop i was gonna sit down and order, but they're kiosks. Don't work outside one works, but you couldn't pay at it not at all friendly acted like I was an inconvenience for coming there .All the tables and chairs outside had bird poop on them. My wife and I were coming back to Houston from Austin. She wanted a diet green tea (she's addicted) so she found this location and we stopped. Ordered from a stall, not realizing they had an actual drive thru. Our car hop Summer brought our drinks and was very friendly and nice. Excellent customer service!! I was in a predicament, I had purchased a drink from them earlier and went across the street to get an entree that required a fork to eat. The place across the street did not have utensils to eat my food. I was told to go next door after a long silence and me explaining I don't live there and traveling through. So I went back to Sonic and I just asked and the manager came out and happily gave me a utensil package. Her name starts with a J, can't remember her name, but what a fantastic employee to help me out! I will be going back to this location when I drive through due to the service. read more

We used the app to order our food while on a road trip, ordering for 6 people. We will ordered ahead of time as we were in a hurry. We know all of the order was entered correctly as we double-checked it. The food came out on time and we were excited to keep our road trip on time, so we thought. They were missing a burger and got one wrong so we needed two burgers before leaving. After being there for 28 minutes they finally got it right and we were behind on our family trip. Stopped here for ice cream while passing through on a trip. We only ordered two things, however, the lady taking our order could not get it right. Then they forgot one of the two items. The employee who brought out our ice cream said they would bring us the shake that they forgot, but we waited forever and never saw it. I had to go inside to get it from them only to see it just sitting there. This quick stop for ice cream treats turned into an extended 20 to 30 minute delay on our trip. read more

The person that took my order was surly and rude, she kept cutting me off before I could finish speaking: Me: I need a small cheese sticks with ma- Her: YU WANT MARINARA OR RANCH SAUCE? Me: Marinara. This is the worst Sonic I've ever patronized. I've gotten food here twice by way of the drive-thru and both times I waited at the window for 15-20 minutes despite there being very few other customers. The first time the toppings on my sandwich were incorrect and the second I received half frozen mozzarella sticks. I stop in this area frequently as it is a convenient spot to get gas on the way to Austin but I think I'll be visiting the mcdonalds across the street from now on. read more

Usually not a big fan of fast food but after interacting with the GM I now see the light . Ms. Johnson is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I ordered an orange cream slush. They verified it back as orange peach slush. At the window we again asked for an orange cream slush. We were asked if we still wanted it with peach. We said "no" as it was never requested to begin with. I write this as I am drinking on an obviously peach not orange cream slush. Don't really have the time to turn around and ask for what I want for the third time. read more

Horrible! By far the worse food experience I've had with ANY Sonic. My burger was super dry. The fries on both orders were not fresh and undercooked. Mozzarella sticks were not fresh, I couldn't even chew through the cheese within a few chomps! Chicken strips were ok, I've had better! But my drinks were great! The Sonic in Hempstead needs help! The person taking the order can't get it right, the cooks evidently can't read OR cook an order correctly and the kids delivering food just don't care. This is not a one-time situation, either. We have lived in this area for 12 years; after giving them chance after chance, they have yet to get an order right the first time.
