Some of their belongings are very cumbersome and heavy so I thought having a truck with a liftgate could make all the difference. The closest one was at Penske in Sacramento. At $0.80 a mile plus gas, driving it up from there was a non-starter. Dave at Springhill suggested I call the Penske regional office. They agreed to send a liftgate truck up to Grass Valley. The kids picked it up as planned on Sunday morning and finished their move uneventfully, thanks to the truck. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly Dave and Penske have been. Having a truck with a liftgate turned what could have been an ordeal into a productive afternoon.

I recently relocated to Nevada City and needed a secure, clean storage unit to store my entire 1200…read moresq ft household until the construction of the new house is completed. I researched and checked reviews of a handful of storage facilities in Nevada County. Keep-It was the last on my list to physically check out and when I arrived the on site management office was closed but a tenant stopped on his way out of the facility to give me his very positive referral. I must say my experience with Keep-It and the onsite manager Rick has been awesome. My movers were 8 hours late getting from Salinas CA to Keep-it, I was a stressed out mess and Rick saved my sanity by keeping me company while I waited, my dog was with me and we both were welcomed and perfectly distracted with conversation and our dogs playing together. Rick is a great manager and an awesome human being. Oh an the facility is great too, new units, secure, very clean and accessible, and fair pricing! I highly recommend.

I don't understand why it's called Shield Storage when you pay and then have to dig to find an address and it's called Keep It Self Storage. I've attempted to pay my monthly fee multiple times and the payment doesn't go through so then I get charged a late fee that they refuse to reverse. Not to mention the fact that they didn't address my property being damaged from another tenant and there was zero follow up. I'm highly disappointed and displeased with this place. Do not rent here.

I found a place in google and drove there and when we got there they were out of the office and didn't return at the time that they said. With us being in a time crunch and stressed out (our first PCS as military members) we found this place and decided to give them a call. A guy answered and was so kind. His name was Ralph! Within minutes we were able to get there & they assisted us in getting our storage. They were super kind and I am so glad that we ended up at this place. My husband says that is probably one of the best customer service he ever had. The pricing and security and value of the place is great. It was clean as well. Ralph & Santiaga were amazing and we are really happy about their service. Especially in a stressful and difficult time.. they genuinely helped us out. Ralph even came out and gave us some tips on unloading which helped us return our U-Haul in time. I normally don't leave reviews.. but they differently deserved it. They also helped us find a perfect storage that would let us drive our 26ft long U-Haul around no problem.
