The hard drive was failing and an IT tech recommended having it "imaged," which would result in an exact duplicate that would not require any software reauthentication. He also recommended Tech Care as the folks to do it. They initially tried doing an automatic imaging, which didn't take, so they attempted to manually image it and were successful. The computer now has a more reliable SSD drive (no moving parts) and it indeed works exactly as it used to (only faster). Eddie informed me that the old drive had maybe one month left before it completely failed. LIFE SAVERS!!! Eddie, Abed, Josh and everyone else I spoke to are top-notch guys, and the price to repair was eminently reasonable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

One time, instead of just charging me to install extra USBs - he suggested I get a USB hub, saving me money. Most recently, when my motherboard had issues, he recommended checking my warranty first instead of jumping into a costly replacement. He even got the replacement motherboard installed the same day it arrived because I needed my computer urgently for studying. Every place I contacted either told me they couldn't help or wanted me to replace the entire unit. Star Service 88 was the first company willing to actually diagnose the problem instead of giving up. The technician took the time to remove my head unit, completely disassemble it, find the issue, and repair it. He explained everything along the way, was patient, and charged a very fair price for the work. It's rare to find someone willing to do component-level electronics repair these days, and that's exactly what they did. On top of fixing my radio, he also noticed my sound system wasn't tuned properly from a previous installation. He took the extra time to balance my speakers and improve the overall sound quality, fixing a problem that another shop had left behind. They solved a problem that over 15 other businesses wouldn't even attempt, and they did it professionally, honestly, and at a fair price. I am a dental director at several facilities and I have incorporated the services of network experts in ALL of my offices. I have commissioned several companies in the past, and ALL of them were a disaster. They either charged me way too much for the services they rendered or they made my systems more complicated then they already were.
