I first fell in love with Nettie's after a client brought some bags in to share at my job. I never really was a fan of kettle corn, but gave it a shot as there wasn't much else in the break room. After one bite, I realized I loved kettle corn, and apparently only Nettie's. So began a wonderful friendship. I found the popcorn at Eastside Marketplace and Clements Market, and shared my new found love with my friends and family on several occasions and got them hooked. Flash forward to today when I was with some friends on our way through North Providence and found that Nettie's was only a street away from where we were. The building was easy to see, purple! Lots of parking. Behind the counter was the nicest woman who offered us samples and even when we were just blissfully wondering amongst ourselves how a flavor would be she was quick to pour a sample. Fortunately for us it was national popcorn day and everything was 10% off. They have great gift baskets that would be amazing to receive. And the chocolate covered popcorn is unreal. Small bags of regular kettle corn are $1.50. Medium $3 and Large $6 (may be one size in between). For flavored options the price is $5 for a medium bag. Flavors include herb parmesan which is what I got today, jalapeño cheddar, bacon, siracha, maple, cotton candy, strawberry, pineapple, dill, salt and vinegar, cinnamon and sugar and several more. This is a must stop if you're in the area. If you can't make it down to the store itself you can find their classic kettle corn at some local grocery stores and even the chocolate covered kettle corn. You'll be hooked!! read more

I am addicted to this place. For this kettle corn I have sold my home, my wife has divorced me and taken the kids- even the dog has run away. I've now resorted to donating plasma to support my habit. Kidding! The kettle corn really is that good though! I am a fan of the classic and could easily eat 10 bags of it one sitting. Other favorites in our household are the Salt & Vinegar and Green Apple. We've taken to sending extra when my kid brings the green apple to school because all the kids at his table beg him to share. The staff is always really nice and helpful. There is no question that this is a truly special popcorn. There is nothing quite like it in the world that I have tried. I have only had the Kettle Corn from them at this point. A week after the bag's first open, it tastes as fresh as it did the week before, I swear there is nothing at all like it. It certainly helps that it is clearly some superior kettle corn taste being made here, frankly it would get five stars if it was only good for a week, but it is truly phenomenal how fresh it tastes without anything artificial in there. I look at this as the finest popcorn I have ever had anywhere at home, it is something that must be tried by all. read more

My RI based dentist must surely have a love-hate relationship with Nettie's kettle corn. Hate: because of popcorn in general and the risks of rapid tooth decay and/or chipping due to the extremely addictive nature of the maple (and other flavors) of kettle corn, and in particular Nettie's. Love: because of getting rich off people trying to prevent rotting their teeth out and thus requiring additional dental services. Nettie's finally has a storefront location on Smith Street in North Providence. My prayers have been answered. They carry every flavor, gift baskets and an assortment of bagged candy. I opted for my favorite flavor (cinnamon) and my little guy Charlie grabbed a bag of strawberry banana. They're $5 a bag and worth every single penny. Most of them are peanut/nut free with the exception of I think jalapeño and cheddar due to the flavors being made in a separate location that may not be nut free. It's unlike any popcorn you've ever tasted. You'll be hooked. read more

Nettie's is sold at the Providence/Pawtucket Farmers Market, as well as occasionally visiting the North Attleboro Farmers Market, as well as at 70 stores throughout Rhode Island/Massachusetts/Connecticut, as well as in my mouth! Flavors include: Maple, Cinnamon, Original, and yes...even Sugar-Free (still finger-lickin' good!) Sold in 8oz, 14oz, or even 4oz bags (you know....for those of you who are either: a) new to kettle corn, or b) in denial!). About $2-$5 depending on the flavor and weight. Good popcorn, great options, lots of different flavors! Its too bad they don't have the small $1 bags as an option for all of the flavored popcorn! Just the big bags.
