Stopped into Smith Family Popcorn in Cape Cod and I'm so glad I did! Every flavor I sampled was a winner sweet, salty, cheesy, crunchy you really can't go wrong. The popcorn was fresh and full of flavor, and the Sea Salt Caramel? Next level. They also had some amazing frozen lemonade ices, perfect for cooling down on a hot day. Great popcorn store in Hyannis along main street. All the popcorn is made in the back. Cute little shop. The Tuscan popcorn was delicious with olive oil and spices, savory. The flavors looked all good, especially the cape cod baseball league with sunflower seeds. I bought a small bag of the Tuscan and got to spin the wheel and got a free bag of large popcorn, pretty cool. I did get harassed by a couple homeless men for spending $7 on a small bag of popcorn and not giving them any change. read more

This place is a favorite for locals and tourists alike. I usually go to the Mashpee location at Mashpee Commons. The place is clean, very organized and the popcorn is good! I bought two buckets today and look forward to digging in to it later! The Cape league mix is a new one for me - it had sunflower seeds, peanuts and a hint of caramel - delicious. I also got Salted Caramel, which is always good! My grandson loves the Cookies and Cream and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which are both very good! I was pleased to be able to put multiple flavors in one bucket!! The only thing is, the young lady at the counter was less than enthusiastic to be serving us. She had been on her phone when we came in, so maybe there was something more pressing than me getting two buckets of popcorn. I honestly would have given five stars, but the servers should be nice when you are paying $60 for popcorn!! read more

I'm so happy we popped in (LOL) for a treat! Although I don't like plain popcorn, I do enjoy flavored popcorn. I like sweet and my husband likes savory. After trying a few flavors, I went with Carmel and my husband got taco (although we may try to stop by tomorrow for the Tuscan before we leave town!) You can spin a wheel to get a free bag of plain popcorn, which my husband loved, and a portion of every purchase goes to one of two charities! It's a win-win! read more

Okay, by now you must know by my reviews that I love a good snack. I give equal attention to both my sweet and savory cravings. Unfortunately I have an affinity for all things sweet as well as salty! It would be hard for me to choose which one I like better. With that said, I love how cute Smith's Family Popcorn is. i stop in whenever I am visiting the area. Their popcorn flavor offerings are both original as well as creative. Naturally, you'd expect tried and true butter, kettle corn and cheesy cheddar corn here. However, you would be crazy not to take advantage of sampling some addicting flavors such as cookies and cream, taco, sea salt and caramel and so on..., The popcorn guy behind the counter couldn't be nicer and you just know that he takes pride in his product. I have chatted him up several times now. He is always super excited, when you've come upon that popcorn flavor that simply hits the spot! There's so much to choose from here and you most certainly won't be disappointed. Both by the variety of flavors and freshness as well as seasonal offerings such as pumpkin spice and dill pickle popcorn. Best of all, once you've made your purchase, you get to spin the wheel for a freebie such as a small bag of buttered popcorn! Lastly, I love that they donate a portion of their proceeds to one of two charities on the board of your choosing. I love this place!!!! Get the big tin!! You can get three different kinds of popcorn. If you bring it back to fill again you get three dollars off! I am addicted to the taco and cheddar cheese popcorn. My fiancé loves the kettle corn. A bonus is they select two charities and you pick one for part of your purchase to be donated to! Pretty awesome! Bonus Two: You get to spin to win more popcorn. The least you can win is a small bag. The most is a ten gallon bag! That's my goal! A ten gallon bag! The staff is just awesome. I love this place! (Full disclosure, it's run by my family friends but the money spent and the review is all my own.) Smith Family Popcorn elevates that tasty treat to the next level. But the experience of buying it in person is really the best part. You get to try as many samples as your stomach can handle, which is key because while you may want to take every flavor home, I suggest a serving of 2-4 bags. On a recent visit, I was inclined to like the Taco option but then ended up loving the more understated Tuscan version instead. And always the caramel coated popcorn - I literally don't think I could leave without it. In addition, you get to choose which charity they'll donate to on your behalf for every purchase, AND you get a free prize on the way out the door. Now with the addition of the beer garden next door, this is a must-see destination on the cape, with a tasty ending guaranteed. Keep up the great work, team! read more

They reeled me in with the free popcorn samples outside - I fell in love with the cinnamon toast flavor and the salted caramel We bought both and we got to spin the wheel inside and won a free large bag of regular popcorn! We are on vacation in the cape and heard from friends how great the popcorn is. I am a huge popcorn fan. My sister and I took a walk to go and get some. EVERY...SINGLE...OPTION...GETS...5 STARS!!!! Ask for samples and they don't mind giving you some. It will help you buy them ALL!!! I speak from Experience lol. Ended with 5 bags and a free one when i spin the wheel after purchase. We weren't going to stop in at first, but my boyfriend knows how much I like popcorn. The hospitality and service of the workers was great. We are from out of state and were deciding which popcorn we wanted to buy. We were told we could get 3 flavors in the tin we purchased. We decided we only wanted two, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and jalapeño cheddar . Delicious!! They even donate part of the proceeds to charity . This place is the best for popcorn. It has a great variety of which I got cookies and cream and kettle corn. The portions and prices are reasonable with the entire staff being extremely friendly and kind. You get to choose which charity a portion of your orders profits go to which is a nice touch. They are so friendly inside. So many popcorn flavors, which they let you sample. My favorite were the sea salt caramel, Tuscan flavor, and cheddar. All the others I tried- kettle corn, movie theatre, & cookies and cream were good too. Once inside, I was reminded what I'd been missing during the pandemic: genuinely friendly service and all of the free samples my little heart desired. We came across them just after they opened and I should have reviewed them then but here I am! The Chicago blend of cheese and caramel is my fav and then the Tuscan Joy omg heavenly!!! This place is not the same. They have raised prices while cutting down on the ingredients. It's clear that the popcorn is now less dipped in the caramel, cheese or chocolate than it used to be impacting the taste. It doesn't taste good at all anymore. Won't return. We live in Mashpee and liked supporting a local business but it tastes terrible now. read more

Some of the best popcorn I've ever tasted. After leaving many dinners hungry from lack of quality food joints on the cape...I knew I could always come back to my hotel room to have some of this popcorn to make things better. You walk in and they let you try pretty much every flavor and spend as much time as you need before making your selection. My parents and I could not decide on which flavor was the best so we got the largest tin split three ways and each picked a flavor. The owner is originally from New York I came to find out upon leaving the store and just opened here a month ago. New York is a super competitive place for food... as good food can be found everywhere! This probably explains why he does not rely on just being the only popcorn place on the Cape to get him business but rather invests time in making sure his business is quality. read more

The family and I were walking down Main St. Hyannis and came across two guys who were passing out samples of flavored popcorn, we tried the Cinnamon Toast and it was Amazing. We ended up going home with Cinnamon Toast, Salted Caramel, Cheese and Cape League Mix flavored popcorn. The staff is friendly and great about letting you try the different flavors. We will be back to pick up some of the other flavors like the Birthday Cake and the Cookies and Cream. read more

I ordered a 5 gallon tin of popcorn as a Christmas gift for a friend who lives in NC. Because of USPS wackiness, the delivery was severely delayed (through no fault of the Smith Family at all!). I reached out twice, expressing my concerns about the freshness of the popcorn given that it had been a substantial amount of time since it had been shipped. Each time, they were very responsive, kind, and assured me that the popcorn would be even better given the weather and how they'd packaged it. My friend received the popcorn and LOVED it. Two weeks after, she was still talking about it. It has now been about three weeks, and she just text me saying she placed another order and that this is going to be her new go to popcorn. My absolute favorite snack ever. It's not even a guilty pleasure. I'm not guilty about it! Well, maybe I'm guilty of not sharing. We drive all the way from New Bedford to get some sea salt caramel popcorn. My daughter loves that they give her her own little sample cup and she can choose whichever flavor she wants to try. Great addition to Main Street Hyannis. As their name says, this is a family owned and operated business The popcorn is delicious and so many flavors to choose from. My personal favorites (so far) are the birthday cake and the sea salt caramel. An added plus is that a percentage of the proceeds of each sale goes to their customers choice between two local charities. They have a large selection of sizes from small bags up to large tins where you can mix and match flavors. read more

Inside is small but they offer variety of popcorns and flavored popcorns. Their unique thing is that they offer dog safe popcorns and popcorn seeds. The staff was nice and helped us figure out what kind of seeds to get as most people don't know the difference. We ended up getting 3 different kind of seeds to try. Most of the time i end up tasting the seasoning but not the popcorn so i'm interested to actually compare the flavor of the popcorn itself.
