I am a tater tot FANATIC and there were amazing! The fries too! I don't know what that secret spice dust is that they sprinkle on them, but it is GOOD! This little burger joint has been here for quite some time, but with a menu that wasn't particularly halal they haven't seen as much support from the local Muslim community. Combine that with multiple direct competitors within 10 minutes and they decided to make the choice that I believe really gave them a leg up. Obviously there's gonna be some amount of scrutiny for any halal restaurant, but one that's partial Zabihah and slowly adjusting? Can't blame the customer. But the owner and manager here really step up, showing their receipts, boxes, etc to back up everything they say. They're polite, informative and one of them is always there, so you're guaranteed good service. As for the food, you have a few options with different combinations of the same toppings + choice of cheese. As of right now, they don't have Chilli anymore and only their Beef is Zabihah so that's what I've tried. Quality of ingredients is solid, but the burgers tend to fall apart a bit. Quick tip, I'd get the fries seasoned with the burger seasoning. Overall, I'm happy they've been working with the local community and constantly taking feedback to make this a better place. And after reheating it in the oven a day later, I was still in love. SO good. They have so many different dipping sauces, we liked the garlic sauce for the fried mushrooms. And the fries. If you're looking for a place that not only has great food, but also great customer service, this is the place to go. I called ahead to place my order and was told it'd be ready in about 15, which made me realize I needed to hop in my car right away! As I was making my order, I asked to have the garlic burger but with a lamb patty (Bc I don't eat beef) and they were more than willing to accommodate. He also recommended that I try their sauces that he'd give me some sides of to try with my sweet potatoes fries. When I came to pick it up, I had to wait a couple more minutes. They told me they had accidentally made me a beef patty and was correcting their mistake. Being open and honest with their customers made me not care I had to wait a little longer. They corrected their mistake without being told of the error. I think that says a lot. The garlic burger was pretty good, just make sure you like the flavor of garlic. It is also very filling! I couldn't finish the fries mushrooms or sweet potato fries I had ordered, both of which were delicious! The nest sauce was also pretty good. As he described it, it's an upgraded chik fil a sauce, which is pretty darn accurate in the description. If you love burgers and being treated great, this is the place to go! The person that took my order over the phone was so friendly, he greeted me, went down the list of items that I could order, and even gave me advice on the drinks. When I went to pick up the order, the workers behind the counter were awesome, smiling faces, greeting you and everyone that came after you, and made sure to help you with your order right away even though it did look like they were bogged down with work! When I opened my take-out box, I immediately noticed: bigger than average portion sizes - awesome. Given how much the items actually cost on the menu (fairly cheap I would say, as compared to other burger joints nearby), I had definitely been blessed with quite a lot of yum for my buck. I was getting super eager in the car and took a nibble of the fries, whoa!!! Love the novel sweetness of that, I've never had fries like that before so that was a huge win for me. Okay. Now on to the ehhh part of the meal. When I finally got home to unwrap my treasures and dived in, I wasn't entirely ecstatic with the rest of the presentation. My burger bun came drenched in burger juice so I missed out on the fluffiness of what could have been from both buns, yikes. Is it because it was housed in the take-out box for 10+ minutes on my drive home? Maybe? I took my first bite and boy-oh-boy was that first bite heckin' SALTY. Just SOMETHING between the combination of the beef patty, bacon, and onion rings made the entire presentation so, so incredibly salty. I mean I get it, bacon is supposed to be salty and the onion rings were well seasoned - but let me tell you when I say salty, I mean it was HEAVILY SALTED. Nothing ruins an experience like an over-salted burger. When I opened up the burger, I also noted that my bacon was super fatty. There was no crispiness to it at all, my entire piece of bacon was a slab of fat - no wonder I couldn't get a clean first bite. Is this a preference thing? Maybe? Burger aside now, I will comment on the onion rings. Why did my onion rings look like someone palmed the very bottom of the barrel to then throw in a pile of naked onions with the crispy skin falling off? All of the seasonings that were supposed to be on my onions were just piling up on the bottom of my box. Phew, okay. That was tough. Though I really wanted to give Nest Burger a full 5, there were just so many things that kept adding up, resulting in a 2 for me. Honestly, if I could give it a 2.5, I would because Nest Burger did have a great experience with the staff and the ordering process. But overall, could most of these concerns have been due to personal preference? Maybe, since it seems that most reviews have been positive. However, I have noticed that most photos don't portray the same soggy buns and falling apart onions like mine did. Maybe it was just that particular day I had went?
