So I took my stereo into these folks after I believed that I'd lost sound at the speaker terminals. After paying $10 for a 'diagnostic', the nerdy thin mustachioed gentleman calls to inform me that there was nothing wrong with the stereo & that it was outputting sound normally. "It must've been faulty speakers", I thought. That should've been the end of the discussion, but the gentleman (whose name escapes me) tried to upsell me on a $60 'service', which included what he described as a 'soldering of the main board' to keep them properly secured because, as he explained it, when he 'shook the board', that it could 'sometimes interrupt the sound'. I told him to go ahead & he said that the work would be completed late in the afternoon on the following day (7/5). I thought about it momentarily & then immediately called back and asked him to hold off on the work until he could demonstrate that the stereo worked fine as it didn't make any sense for me to pay additional monies for work that may not be necessary for the stereo's intended purpose. I also didn't trust his very disjointed feedback and felt that he was taking me for a ride. Well, they never answered my calls (after 4 calls), and never returned my voicemail messages. I arrived the next day & the thin mustachioed gentleman seemed shocked that I arrived before he called me to pick the unit up. I asked if he received my messages, he said he did not. However, he said that he completed the 'work' that he recommended. I didn't believe him & asked him to show me, but he began stalling, taking several trips to the rear of the store but not inviting me back to demonstrate the work that he'd supposedly performed. The short fat guy (the manager?) began arguing with me, & at this point, I purposefully walked to the rear of the store & asked to be shown the work done, along with the 'soldering' work. They did not, and the short guy said that there was no soldering work done. At that point, I knew that these folks were scam artists & I'd had it, so I picked my stereo up to walk out of this completely unprofessional place. But, wait! Both the short guy & the nerdy salesperson GRABBED ME and prevented me from taking my stereo! I had to forcibly take MY stereo from them after being assaulted by these jokers. I should've called the police, & I just may file a report. These Mexican crooks are very disrespectful, unprofessional, belligerent, & condescending, literally criminal in behavior & nature, & I'd advise you to RUN in the other direction! Don't do business here! read more
