Purchased a used 20 year old fender tweed amp from A seller on offer up and after playing through it I noticed it didn't sound right, I took my amp to amp medic and he was able to fix the amp and it sounds great now! He truly knows what he's doing when it comes to high end fender amps and especially vintage amps. I highly recommend the ampmedic

    The supposed "already modded" capacitor.....

**STAY AWAY** I brought my amp to Phil to get modded. He also suggested changing the screen resistors and power tubes, which I agreed to. After 2 months of not hearing anything, Phil told me there was a problem with the amp and it had low output. I was patient with him and allowed him to take his time to fix it. After about another 2 months, he stated that he "could not help me" and to come to pick up the amp. He was intentionally vague about this whole interaction to obviously avoid any admission of fault. After taking it to a competent tech, I found out that the output transformer is blown and will cost me at least $400 to fix. I brought him a working amp, and he gave me back a broken amp with no explanation. Throughout the entire time of working with him, Phil was aggressive, abrasive, and condescending in his communication. I was nothing less than professional and patient with him. He clearly lacks integrity and does not own his mistakes. His character and morals are reflected in his communication. I would strongly advise against using Phil's services. He is not competent, and he is not trustworthy. If you care about your amp, take it somewhere else. I can bet any response he gives to this will be an obvious shift of blame onto anything but himself. (Point Proven) *Update* - My new tech found the source of the blown transformer, it was a wire pinched to the chassis from when Phil was installing the switch that i asked him to install to the C137 capacitor. So yes, Phil fried the transformer. Also, Phil is just fabricating some complete nonsense in his response. The amp was never modded and I brought it to him in full working condition, it did not have low output. The attached picture was sent to me by Phil of him pointing at the UNMODDED capacitor I wanted Phil to clip and install to a switch (see the comment in the email about that "chicken leg"). Phil, your integrity is truly nonexistent. You really spent all that time fabricating a lie to defend your mistake? Breaking my amp wasn't enough for you. You had to double down and create this absolutely fake story instead of taking responsibility for your actions. Shame on you.

I have a Peavey Valve King 100 that just stopped working one day. I checked the fuse and replaced it. The light came on, but no sound. I needed to take it in somewhere. I came across Ampmedic after searching online. I requested a quote and Phil called me right away. I made an appointment to drop it off. We met and talked. He's very knowledgeable and has been doing this for many years. After a week of communication via emails with what was going on with my amp and pictures my amp was fixed. Turns out there are internal fuses that are soldered to the board and I had some bad tubes. So I now have new fuses and all new matching power tubes and the bias set. Amp sounds better than when I bought it and it seems louder too. I would highly recommend Phil for your amp repair needs. Thanks again.

Phil can open an amp and look at it, and determine issues because he understands the theory behind tube amps.

This week, my son is on spring break, so I attempted to cancel his lesson starting Monday. I called the store multiple times on Monday, Tuesday, and again Wednesday morning. No one answered, and there is no voicemail system available to leave a message. When I finally reached someone Wednesday afternoon, I spoke with Bailey, the store manager. She informed me that I would be required to forfeit the lesson due to their 24-hour cancellation policy. Here's the issue: there was no way to comply with that policy. I made repeated, good-faith attempts to cancel, but the store does not provide a functioning method to do so if no one answers the phone. When I explained this, Bailey was completely inflexible and hid behind "policy," stating that if she made an exception, she would have to do it for everyone. There was no effort to acknowledge the situation or offer a reasonable, one-time solution for a long-term customer. What makes this even more frustrating is the inconsistency. My son's guitar instructor, Onjrei, has canceled on at least two occasions with less than 24 hours' notice, and we were expected to be flexible and accommodating. It's hard not to notice that their time is treated as valuable, while mine is not. I'm expected to be flexible, but that flexibility is clearly not extended in return. I escalated the issue to customer service, only to be told that all lesson-related matters are handled at the store level. I requested contact with a district manager and was told someone "may" reach out in 2-3 days, with no name or direct contact provided. At the end of the day, this business chose to lose a long-term customer over a $30 lesson instead of showing basic fairness and customer care. If you plan to take lessons here, be aware: if you cannot reach them to cancel, you may still be charged--and management will not work with you, even when the circumstances are outside your control.

I played throughout middle school and stopped because of life. I picked flute back up in 2020, at which time I bought a cheap flute from Amazon. However, it was not great quality, so I checked K&S's website and found a great starter Yamaha flute. I called the store about it and they had it transferred here from the Charleston location. The flute was in amazing condition and the quality is so much better than I could have imagined. They also still sold all the student books that I used in middle school and it was so nostalgic and helpful to use those in my journey to playing again. The staff were so helpful and nice. Will always support and recommend them!

We came back 6 months later because my daughter's private instructor said she was ready for a full size; my daughter also cemented her dedication and commitment to continue playing through high school, so we opted to use what rental credit remained to buy a full size violin. The team was excellent in showing us the options, let her test and play them all, and then even helped set up the fine tuners (until she's ready to take them off) without charge. Excellent service, and I'm glad we trusted this team to take care of my daughter and her violin needs!

MY SON STARTED AT THE BOTTOM, GUYS!…read more My 11 year old son decided he wanted to sing and since no one in our family sings, I had no idea where to start. He does some acting and dancing so I figured it would help if he could carry a tune. He took lessons with a local instructor I found through his charter school and he enjoyed them but there was absolutely no growth after 3 months. He did not sound good at all! I THOUGHT HIS SINGING WAS HOPELESS! (If you've ever tried to give a cat a bath.....he sounded worse than that!) A month into the pandemic I stumbled upon Deanna's name on the list of our charter school vendors and thought we should give it one more try. We had our free consult with her and heard her voice!!!! She also went on to explain that she has a whole method and system so after much begging from my son I decide to give it one more try. I NEVER THOUGHT MY SON WAS CAPABLE OF SOUNDING THE WAY HE DOES NOW!!!!! From lesson one I was sold. She worked on his singing as a whole and within a few weeks he was sounding decent! She gave him things to work on daily and the growth was so quick and amazing to watch. Today he is working on full songs to perform for auditions! Hearing my baby belt out his songs now brings tears of joy to my eyes. THE ONLY REGRET I HAVE IS NOT STARTING SOONER WITH DEANNA! Her prices are very reasonable and she gives you all the tools you need to have a successful future in singing. THIS WAS ALL DONE VIRTUALLY!!! Lastly I have to mention that we've never had the honor of meeting Deanna in person due to Covid-19. That means this epic growth for our son was achieved 100% virtually. If that is not a true testament to her teaching skills, I don't know what is. SOUND THE WAY YOU'VE ALWAYS DREAMT OF SOUNDING!
