UPDATE: This is an update of the last review I posted about Neptune Lighting and Events. Alex took action and apologized with a 50% refund. This event has already happened, and I am still very upset when I think about it, but I have accepted his sincere apologies. This review is for Neptune Lighting & Events. This review is long, but I hope it helps those who are looking for a good, responsible vendor who will take good care of your once-in-a-lifetime event. How would you feel if your WHOLE wedding is messed up by a single vendor? He literally ruined my wedding pictures, video, for which I paid a lot of money just by not being professional and responsible in delivering what he had promised. And how would you react if their first reaction to it is, "your planner did not tell us you had a problem with the lighting" when in fact my planner did point it out and they had told her that it is because THEY DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT? They lied, and I am very disappointed and unhappy with this company and how they handled the whole situation. We hired Neptune Lighting and Events based on their good reviews. I rarely complain about anything as I am not a picky person and this is actually the first negative review that I have ever posted anywhere. First of all, Alex was responsive and seemed so promising. He sent me a link to his instagram, he texted me pictures of what's possible. At first I was very happy to find this company, as the pictures he sent me showed exactly what I wanted. Everything seemed to be going well, until the day of the wedding. Guys, I can't emphasize enough how disappointed, shocked, angry, and frustrated I was when I saw the lighting. What I ASKED FOR and the things he promised was a GOLD/CHAMPAGNE warm tone color. He was so confident he could do it for our wedding. What we GOT... was FLUORESCENT WHITE WITH RAINBOW colors, mostly GREEN and PINK. When I pointed it out to our wedding planner, and she said that NEPTUNE had told her to move the lighting further from the draping (We tried and it did not work) or to JUST REMOVE THEM. Were they kidding? I don't think so. That is the worst, most unprofessional suggestion you could ever give to your customer. Imagine this happens on your wedding day. When you should be enjoying every moment. And signing a contract with Neptune was not cheap. Lighting and draping was the one most important thing to me, because I believe it determines the whole atmosphere. The job that they did made the whole hotel ballroom look so cheap, when we spent so much money both for the venue and decorations. We still tried to remain positive because we did not want anything to ruin our day. And after the wedding, we contacted them to tell him that we are very disappointed with the lighting and draping, and we also wanted to know what really happened. We seriously felt like we have been scammed with fake pictures on instagram and the pictures that he sent us. And his response? It was even more disappointing. Alex told us that he did not hear anything from the planners the day of our wedding. Alex also told us that his staff was floating around so we can contact them whenever we needed to, but no one ever told them that there was a problem with the lighting. We found out that our planner had actually contacted them, but Oscar, the guy who Neptune had sent to our wedding to do the installments, had told her that IT IS BECAUSE OF THE EQUIPMENT, and that that is how he defines gold. What??? See the attached photos for what Neptune had defined warm tone when signing the contract, and what actually were installed. Last but not least, We did not know that Alex will not be working on this. I think Alex must have hired a cheap third company to work for him as he told us "Oh, I told you I am going to hire partners" when we complained. Such a shady move. We did not see anywhere on the contract that he will be using a third party to be in charge of our event. I think this is totally unacceptable. If you want the GUARANTEE that you will get what you paid for, stay away from this company. read more

He worked within our budget and his pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies in the area. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the lighting industry and was able to talk me through the needs of our particular venue (minimal wattage available) and worked within the constraints of our venue.
