My Singapore Mixed Noodles were absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated being able to customize my spice level (a small detail that makes a big difference!). Portion sizes were generous, and we all left with leftovers -- never a bad thing! The server was welcoming, attentive, and super kind, which made the whole experience even better. We came right when they opened, so it was pretty quiet -- just us and one other person (who I think was an employee). It made for a peaceful, relaxed lunch before the rush. There's some parking on the street but there's also a huge parking lot behind the block that Himalayan Flames is on, so go on back there and find a spot. You'll find the entrance to Himalayan Flames towards the front of the building. We were seated right away and began browsing the menu. Not a huge place, but cozy and nicely decorated. Cool vibe. I opted for the Lamb Korma and Garlic Naan bread. Outstanding on both fronts. The Lamb Korma was full of flavor and perfectly spiced for my taste. I forget the spice level options, but go with what you know. Whatever I asked for was perfect. Lamb was tender and tasty. Combine that with the edible scoop that you can make out of the Naan bread and you're set. Would I go back? Without question. They were great on their own and even better when dipped into the accompanying "sour water," which was a bit spicy and equally refreshing (FYI - the sour water is heavy on the cilantro, so if you don't like cilantro, just be aware!). The thali came with an abundance of food, and we enjoyed almost everything on it. The platter came with a few different curries that were all delicious and well-spiced. I took a bite, and the pickled mango took my tongue on a journey, LOL. First, I got hit with the super saltiness, then the super sourness, and finally the lingering, intense spiciness. We checked out the coffee shop, Warda, but didn't purchase anything then, but have had several of their desserts since then and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful, indoor/outdoor bar, great outside seating - not sure how this will work in the winter? They also have very pretty stone paths with multicolor stones mixed in for a very peaceful beautiful look. It inspired me to add some multicolored stones to my garden! I can't wait to return.
