I am pretty loyal to my regular nail lady, but she was on vacation for the holidays and a girl needed some NYE glam. Enter Neo Nails. I was really impressed with the number of reviews for this place and it is nearby so I gave them a call. I was able to get an appointment the same day. My tech was named Luz and she was a sweetheart. She is so detail oriented and spent a lot of time making sure that the polish went down to the cuticle, there were no smudges and that the mani pedi was absolutely perfect! She let me know the base they use lasts a bit more than three weeks for a gel mani. I'm happy to report that a week in and they look absolutely perfect. I haven't been to an open salon during COVID times but I felt super safe here. They take your temperature upon arrival, everyone is wearing masks, they have folks spaced apart and you can tell that while this place could be POPPIN - they have reduced capacity to keep everyone safe. They offer gel, dip, and regular manicures from what I can see with a TON of variety on colors. In terms of pricing, I feel like it is on the more affordable end for gel mani/regular pedi. I believe it's around $55. If you are looking to add fun nail designs they do that too. However, you must be sure to request it when you book your appointment as not every tech can do the designs that are super trendy right now. My only issue with neo nails is the parking. The lot is pretty small and semi overwhelming. However, there is street parking around the strip mall where it is located so that is probably the best bet. I will definitely be back. read more

Temperatures are checked when you enter, must wear a mask and social distance is enforced! They prefer appointments so please call or request an appointment online. Prices are reasonable but a bit high. I went the basic way ( basic mani/pedi $39). The service was great and fast. I came in on a Monday so not too many people like it normally have on the weekend. I could be mistaken, but this is unfortunately the best nail salon in the brickell area - in terms of the services offered and variety of colors to choose from. However, I don't know if i've ever visited a salon that moves at more of a glacial pace. I made an appointment for a pedicure at 2 pm on a monday. Arrived at 1:45, it's now 2:28 and I'm still waiting for my service. Mind you, there are a total of MAYBE 5 customers here and multiple employees are walking around, on their phones, not with customers. They are usually slow every time I've been here, but this is an outstanding new record. read more

I've been coming to Neo Nails for about a year, but after my last appointment with them, I won't be returning. It's honestly shocking how often I would still come here despite how incredibly rude the owner is to not only the customers but his employees. I had a 6:45 pm appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and wasn't seen till about 7:15 pm. I sat in the waiting area, watching two customers who came in after I got seen first. I know sometimes things run behind, but considering how quickly they will charge your credit card if you cancel, you would think they would not run this late. Okay, it's my turn to be seen for my service. The woman who I'm put with is PISSED. She's telling me that it's ridiculous they put me with her because she didn't get a break and that she needed to be home by a certain time. I know this isn't my fault, but I felt horrible; she had a few exchanges with the owner, and I felt highly uncomfortable. One of her co-workers helped her with my hands as she did my feet, but the whole experience was just less than relaxing, and while I appreciate the girls helping each other, I arrived on time and got rushed service and a terrible job on my nails. The worst part is I wouldn't even bother calling for a refund because the owner is so incredibly rude it's completely pointless talking to him. Well this place apparently expects you to spend 3-6 hours here just for a set of dip nails and a pedicure. I had called ahead, made an appointment and said that I had to be out in an hour. They said that was fine. None of their nail techs know or understand English besides the front desk girl. When they started on the nails, they added a tip to one nail which looked so weird. When asked why they were not adding the other tips they said it's another service. They the. Said it would be another 2 hours to finish the service.. for a set of dip nails. We had a pedicure scheduled as well and since they don't do a pedicure and a manicure at the same time, that was going to take another hour at least. So we had to cancel the pedicure because we had another appointment to be at. When I went to check out, they wanted to charge for the one tip they put on, the removal of the tip, and then another additional charge for adding tips again. Honestly this place is a mess, the staff is in their own world and doesn't seem the best trained. They don't even ask you questions during the service on if you are liking the color, the shape, the length, etc. I would just stay clear of this place and find somewhere else to go read more

While I'm a regular here, I only really come to Neo Nails for pedicures after having inconsistent experiences with manicures (I wasn't able to find a tech here that didn't do super thick gel manicures). They're pretty strict with appointments, even if you're 3 minutes late, they're already calling you to see where you are - however on the flip side, they've called me to change my appointment a handful of times as well. I would love for this to be my go-to salon for mani's and pedi's, but I don't know if they offer consistent training across techs. Even when getting pedi's, you'll find techs who are meticulous and take their time, or ones who rush, throw the polish on, clean it up and you're out in 25 minutes. Both myself and my boyfriend have had our cuticles cut by someone rushing a pedi. I recommend doing your research and requesting a specific person here, then working around their schedule. read more

However, this place does not receive five stars due to the fact that the prices are insane!!!! For a gel manicure and pedicure it cost $100 not including the tip for the nail tech. Nathalys is by far the most amazing nail tech I've ever had- she can do it all including the most amazing nail designs! I'm pretty loyal to Nathalys but whenever she isn't available I've gone with whoever was available and I've never had a bad experience with anyone. I only took off one star because their process for making an appointment is a bit of a pain and parking can be a hassle because the lot is so small. I appreciate an owner that cares for its customers. After my first review, the immediately contacted me and asked me to pass by to get my nails fixed. While the service again was top notch, while the girl was putting on the top coat, she got distracted with a food delivery and all of the nails bubbled up. I've been coming to Neo Nails ever since I moved to Miami and they're great! The salon is very clean and they have tons of colors to choose from. Everyone at the desk is always very nice and helpful. I use all the ladies here and pretty much everyone is great! I've gone to Vanessa, Melissa, Kaity, Elizabeth & more. They do apres, dipping powder and gel. Some of the women do amazing designs too. They use high quality products as well , so yes you pay a little more, but it is worth it! I reccomend neo nails if you want to relax and get a pedicure too! Do not be deceived by the 4 stars and high review count. I have been to plenty of nail salons and have yet been as dissatisfied with my nails like this place. This was the first spot I went for nails in Miami. The artwork and design I got were acrylic gel french tips with chrome (nothing crazy) and it was really bad. Later that day, 2 of my nails started chipping (nail polish started peeling off) and I had to come in and fix it the next day. I walked in and the man behind the counter was extremely rude and picking a fight even though I expressed that I just wanted my nails fixed. I have never had an experience like this and having nail polish peel off. Even the nail tech lady said "It Happens" and I told her never has it happened to me. If you dont mind paying for expensive nail services thats peels the same day, mediocre art work, and the manager yelling at you then this place is for you! Neo Nails - I am very disappointed in the service I received at this place. I started going when it was like $28.00 for pedicures, I've been going for like a year and 1/2... it then increased to $30.00, then $33.00 and now outrageous $36.00 with an extra charge of $2.75 if you pay with a credit card. I asked the girl charging where is this fee noted at? She showed me a little paper with small letters that's flat on the counter that the only way you will notice is once you are already at the counter looking down at it ready to pay. I asked, why isn't this information posted at the door, or told once you call the client to confirm the appointment???? Who carries cash nowadays, no one. I just checked their website, they advertise the little drink they serve, wi-fi and a few things but forgot to also include the additional few if you pay with a credit card. Another thing, they have a rodent issue, I heard it from the workers showing cookies that were chewed up by mice, so be careful when getting those drinks in those glasses that who knows how they are stored and how many rats are in and out of them. The girl that did my nails did not do a good job at all, did not cleaned under nail, did not file my nails much on the sides, I asked her that I like them square, but she didn't really care. But you go to the counter, and they charge you without looking back. I will not be going back to Neo Nails anymore; I don't like to be intentionally misguided. DO NOT GET DIP POWDER HERE! It's absolutely awful. I got my dip done on Tuesday night and the picture below is my nail by Friday night (only 3 days). Dip is supposed to last 2-3 weeks, that's the whole point of paying so much more! It baffles me that nail salons offer services that their technicians are not trained to do (my technician was named Rachel). I've gotten mani/pedis here before, and that has been fine. There's a great selection of nail colors, and covid safety precautions are being followed. But find someplace else for dip powder. Came to Neo Nails after over a year of trying different nail salons and never leaving satisfied. I was a bit skeptical due to past experiences and seeing a few bad reviews of Neo, but was pleasantly surprised! Service was phenomenal, and my nail tech, Mildrey was very skilled and sweet! Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish so there was a bit of a language barrier, but we both tried to speak a little of each other's languages and I felt very welcomed and accepted. I got Apres Gel X for the first time (I usually just do acrylics), I loved the application and Mildrey seemed very knowledgeable about them. I pointed out one of the nails wasn't secured on perfectly and she fixed it without hesitation! My nails only took about an hour with extensions, gel and designs. The only downside is that my set was pretty expensive (125 + tip) but honestly in Miami I've paid 150+ for janky acrylics that weren't even half as good as these. I did not know that you can't get refills on Gel X, so I probably won't be getting them again due to the price, but I absolutely will be returning for normal acrylics. read more
