NEMA worked quickly and efficiently to replace our roof. They were flexible with start dates, and worked with us to get exactly what we needed. read more

We selected Nema roofing because they had significant experience working with insurance companies and claims. Adam provided guidance throughout the entire process and answered all our questions prior to and throughout the project. He noted potential issues commonly found during the repair process and potential costs. They were flexible with timeframes especially with waiting for insurance payments to clear. The site was clean after the project. Adam even did a walkthrough after the job was done. Anything he saw that needed adjustments, he had his crew come back shortly after to repair. In summary, from the selection process, quality of materials, ratings, warranty, and the entire job, they were fully attentive and easy to work with. Loved the honesty and quick turnaround. Highly recommend. read more

Adam, I am so glad I hired you to do moms roof. I did my research with several roofers, I am so glad I was able to meet you in person. Our communication via email and phone calls, your response and honesty in answering my questions regarding materials was very helpful. Your price was very fair and reasonable. Unlike the other quotes I received and the possibility of finding damages under the tile "may increase the cost of the final price". I was not going with these companies. I know they were very busy but Adam got us scheduled the following week. I did not feel the need to be there at moms home for this roof install. Nema Roofing were not the cheapest. They are one of our higher bids but quality service everything from making an appointment to finishing the project was a breeze. You and your crew did this installation in 3 days! The color/brand of this roofing material was perfect! Thank you for sending me the pictures of her completed roof. Every one was super happy! read more

Nema Roofing did an awesome job! We needed a full tear off and replacement for our flat roof home. I did a LOT of research and gathered 10 estimates. Adam was on time for the estimate, and was able to give us a price for roof replacement, gutters and even some electrical work to add ceiling fan outlets. The job was scheduled within a reasonable timeframe. The project manager came out beforehand and did some final measurements, lead paint testing, etc. The job started on Monday. The crew was here at 9:00 sharp. They removed the existing roof, replaced it, applied the foam and the first layer of elastomeric coating in one day. The crew finished with a clean-up job that was perfect. read more

I highly recommend Nema Roofing. We moved into our house 2 years ago and it has two roofs that are 20 years old. We call to this company and the project manager showed up on the next day, where all the roofing companies we contacted weren't able to come within a week. He inspect the problem and give us very reasonable cost. Adam also recognized a few problems in our roof with rusted metal on the chimney and our gutters was in very poor condition. They fix both of those issues. Finally, we were aware that we need to redo the caulking and painting of our siding. They also repainted and caulked the entire side of the house. Super helpful! read more

After requesting someone to inspect a potential problem with my roof, I got a immediate response from Pete. He informed me that he could be by my house at noon. He was there at noon. I showed him what my concerns were and he immediately explained to me what the challenges were and what it would take to fix and repair my roof. He was very professional and polite. The price was reasonable and the repair was completed the same day. I would recommend Nema Roofing to anyone looking for a challenge with their roof as this company checked all the boxes for quality, price, professionalism, and punctual job completion. read more

Having to replace your roof is sadly expensive in general but Nema is top notch both in service and quality of work. I worked with Adam who went above and beyond with my insurance company and was available 24/7 to answer any questions or worries I had. He was fantastic at understanding my budget and needs and working to make sure I got the right products and service for my situation. He also really helped me out price wise when there was some surprise repairs needed. The workers were professional, considerate and impressively fast. They also left everything very clean and tidy. Office staff is also friendly and helpful. Overall great experience and I'd highly recommend Nema Roofing. read more

My new roof has performed great. When we had a leak, which we thought was the roof but turned out to be an A/C issue, they came out twice, once to check and then once to do a patch over the area even though they couldn't find the leak. They were concerned since a storm was coming and didn't want to let a leak into the attic. Adam was always available. When I had questions or concerns before, during, and after the installation, he always got back to me quickly. I love this company! By the way, were they the cheapest, no.. but probably yes in the long term. Adam was honest about his price. He knows his business, looked at all he needed to see, and quoted me a price they stuck to. read more

Adam is the best roofing contractor, he was very personable and professional. The estimate was excellent and reasonable. When the appointment was made he and his crew arrived on time as promised and worked diligently through the day. They were cautious and took care while they were on my property. NEMA reroofed my home recently. Thomas and Steph were my main contacts and were always professional, patient with my questions, punctual and quick to respond via text, phone or email. NEMA Roofing was great and we can't recommend them more. We recently purchased a home that hadn't had its roof replaced in almost 50 years and needed a major overhaul. The best customer service experience in a very long time. From the quick response when searching on here and found them for what I was needing and then to the in person consult with Vic I felt cared for as a customer. He explained EVERYTHING in detail where he answered some of my questions before I had to ask. From there every person I spoke to made me feel at ease. We were asked by our insurance company to repair our roof. However our roof was pretty much end of life as it was more than 30 years old so we decided to replace the entire roof. We reached out to multiple roofing companies to get costing and other details of the proposal. Jonathon from Nema came to our place to look at the roof and provide estimates. He inspected the roof before providing any estimate whereas others had just provided estimates based on satellite pictures and / or without any inspection. Jonathon described in detail the material they would use and the time it would take to get it done. The details of the proposal won them the proposal. After the estimate was done Jonathon kept us appraised through out the process with the progress through the permitting and execution of the project. We stumbled into a major change order as the roof was in even worse condition than we had expected however Jonathon and Nema roofing explained the options and recommended the correct path forward. The project even after the change order was executed in a timely manner and passed all inspections in timely manner. Along the way Jonathon provided remote project management along with another project manager who daily visited the site. Overall we would recommend Nema roofing for any roofing project. read more

We researched which contractor to hire for awhile before going with Nema Roofing. They were priced fairly, but were not the cheapest. The cheapest appeared to not provide the quality Nema offered. When we signed the contract, they were prompt in getting the service done. It was a very smooth ride from there, which is very hard to say when it comes to fixing any part of your home. I would recommend this company to others looking for a roof replacement. read more

We had a HUGE problem with our roof above our garage. 1st it was so difficult to get anyone take on this type of project. But fortunately using google which I have had very good experience with, I had 3 people give me quotes. I felt the most comfortable with Nema Roofing and Adam who gave me the quote. Although it was not the cheapest I decided to use them because he seemed to be the best fit for us. Well, my gut was correct. They were FANTASTIC!!!!! The guys that did the work were super kind and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. They cleaned up and were very respectful to my home. I will be always using them in the future for ANY roofing service. Thanks Adam and crew for being honest, fair and kind on your work. read more

Adam and his crew are outstanding! I called NEMA team for a quote, and he was out as quickly as my schedule would allow. He was fair, knowledgeable, honest and professional throughout the entire process. His crews work tirelessly from sunup to sundown and were able to get my 3500 square foot roof done in a very short amount of time. My roof was never open to the weather, if they replaced plywood, that section would be papered before the end of the day. Adam gave me updates as appropriate, was fair when I added scope and worked with me every step of the way. He has a great team to help with my solar removal and reinstall, they do it all. It was a pleasant experience for my family and I and now I have no worries about my roof for the next 20-30 years. He did such a great job I recommended him to my parents and they just finished their entire roof in ONE DAY!!! Amazing! Thanks Nema Roofing in Santa Barbara for a job well done! read more

My insurance company sent me a letter saying I had to replace my roof or else they would cancel my policy. quotes. I had 5 different reps come to my home from different roofing companies to walk the roof and speak with me. Mel from NEMA stood out by far. I was a feeling bit stressed about the whole thing and Mel was friendly, professional, honest and knowledgeable. He went over the entire process with me and instantly made me feel at ease. His proposal came back within hours of our meeting, where as some companies took many days. I feel like I really did my research. NEMA'S quote wasnt the lowest but it wasn't the highest either. Also, I had some issues that put me off a couple of the companies; leaving me concerned about things like nickel and diming on wood replacement, the quality of the work, and getting the work done in a timely manner. I checked on NEMA's license and all their 5 star reviews on YELP and GOOGLE and decided to go with NEMA. I am so glad I did. Mel and the crew arrived at my house within days. Demo went quickly and the crew were professional and cleaned up well at the end of each day. Mel was constantly in contact with me and when he was unable to come one morning, he sent Rene, who was awesome too. My roof was all done in 3 days and it is truly beautiful. These guys know their stuff! And they were all so lovely to work with. I was actually a bit sad to see them go at the end. I dealt with Adam the owner, over the phone. He is a great guy and really cares about his customers. I was able to to get back to my insurance company quickly and now I have a gorgeous roof that will last a long time. Thanks Mel, Adam and crew for the top quality work and excellent customer service. I highly recommend NEMA to anyone looking for a new roof. read more

We just had our roof replaced by NEMA and had a great experience. The initial inspection was very through and the team showed accountability. Clear expectations of the process and what to expect each day of the roof replacement were provided upfront. The roof replacement team was also efficient and consistent with the team showing up/leaving around the same time each day, and work was completed in just about 4 days. We are happy with the quality of the work and to have a new roof! read more

I picked NEMA after comparing with several other 5 star companies. I would choose no other. It was the best experience we have had with any contractor ever ! The rains showed that our 40 year old tract home roof needed to be replaced. The main details of NEMA's excellent work is listed are below followed by details: 1 - Every worker in the company is personally dedicated to quality . They guarantee workmanship for 15 years, where other companies state 10 years. NEMA is a GAF MASTER SELECT ROOFING CONTRACTOR. 2 - Every phase and schedule was detailed by the Project Manager (Thomas). The second generation roofing owner (Adam) came in person to review the roof plans and schedule to insure the quality. Thomas oversaw the quality of the work daily. 3 - Their employees are specialists with extensive experience in their particular of roof replacement. No generalists. They've performed their speciality with excellence and pride. 4 - They are the only company in the area that has the excellent "peel & stick" POLYSTICK® MTS SELF-ADHERED HIGH TEMPERATURE ROOF underlayment, instead of the old-style paper underlayment. NEMA has the highest certification from POLYGLAS corporation as an installer. The warranty is through the manufacturer POLYGLAS and remains with the house. This material reflects heat MUCH MORE than the old construction grade paper. 5 - Our house was originally built with no gable vents in one wing of the house and those bedrooms would heat up to be unbearable. High electricity bills were common. The thermal specialist (Richard) added O'Hagin vents and solar powered vents in carefully selected parts of the roof. The tiles were raised over the underlayment with "raised battens" allowing airflow under the tiles with the hot tiles not contacting the underlayment. The improvement is incredible !! As of this date, we have not used the air conditioner & the recent hot days, the room temperature has ranged from 68 to 71 degrees - WITHOUT ANY air conditioning ! We've saved on lower A/C electricity bills ! 6 - ATTIC RETROFIT We have have had a crack in our wall near the fireplace & the previous owners said it happened in the 1994 quake. It has been enlarging even after painters twice filled it in. Checking the the attic I saw split wood at the nail points and beams that were not at right angles. NEMA attic structure specialists added steel connectors where *every* piece of wood met another, a sheer wall where our wall crack had formed and added a lot of wood that added shear strength to the ceiling joists. Very thorough work and I am very confident in our house structure. 7 NEMA also repaired our rusting furnace vent, also supervised by Thermal Specialist Richard. 8 NEMA also installed seamless raingutters very quickly , by their raingutter specialists. DETAILS: REMOVAL OF TILES & UNDERLAYMENT: On the first day, the employees arrived early and started on time. 15 minutes after the start I was amazed how fast they progressed. At the end of every day, the ground perimeter was inspected for debris and loose nails using magnetic brooms. The entire crew was quite efficient and friendly. INSPECTION OF ROOF: After removal of the underlayment, both the company owner, Adam, and the Project Manager inspected the plywood. The 40 year old tract home construction plywood was rotted. The plywood could easily be pulled apart with my hands. They recommended to cover the roof with the modern OSB (Oriendted Strand Board). APPLICATION of the POLYSTICK® MTS SELF-ADHERED HIGH TEMPERATURE ROOF UNDERLAYMENT The modern heat reflective POLYSTICK® MTS went on quickly. It is an elastomer/polymer like product & thus waterproof. It is self-sealing when nailed in. The house was a lot cooler - without even using air conditioning. Then after the vents were installed it was an even better improvement. ANOTHER COOLING TECHNIQUE - "raised battens" Before replacing the tiles, they added strips of wood to raise the tiles slightly above the roof. Air flows under the tiles and the hot tiles do not make direct contact with the underlayment. More energy saving ! NEMA roofing has been a joy to replace our roof. I only recommend only NEMA. read more

I am very satisfied with service I received from start to finished. I noticed a small leak during the rains and found NEMA on yelp. They were quick to respond and reach back to me. Adam came and gave me an estimate that was acceptable and we scheduled for his crew to come out before the next rain for a roof repair. They were in time and got the job done very quickly. They cleaned up all their mess and one cant even tell they were there. I HIGHLY recommend this company if you want something done correct the first time around. Thank you Adam for looking out for your customer without all the add-ons. I would definitely recommend and use again. read more

Adam and his team did a terrific job on our roof job. Our roof was leaking in several spots and the underlayment was rotted in numerous spots. We need a total replacement. It was brutally hot and his team safely accomplished my roof job under the hardest of conditions. Within weeks of getting our new roof, we had a monsoon storm and we had a small leak. I called Adam, and he had his folks out to find and fix the problem the very same day. The problem was found and fixed! I am very pleased that we selected them. Checking with several roofing companies, wide difference in pricing and some just spacing on me, I chose Nema Roofing. Adam was fantastic to deal with, very personable and quick to respond. I had been told it could take 2 or 3 days to complete my roof but this work crew consisting of 9 men did an incredible job in one day! They laid tarps out for my plants and went twice around the house with a magnet to pick up any nails. The ten year guarantee on the roof was also a huge reason why we went with them. I am extremely pleased that I chose Nema Roofing and highly recommend it to others! read more

NEMA re-roofed our entire home in a matter of days and Adam's communication and honesty makes the process painless. I was impressed with several things 1) they are an authorized dealer with GAF shingles, which means NEMA can legally offer a 25-year warranty. Even in the worse case scenario that NEMA goes out of business, GAF will pick up the warranty. All other roofing companies only offered us a 5 year warranty. The cherry on top is that their warranty is transferrable! 2) They pretty much installed the new roof after 3 days. There was a package of shingles that was not the exact same color as all the rest (bad lot), and Adam took the initiative to order a new one and reinstall that small patch of shingles. I really appreciated his attention to detail. 3) They pull permits through the city and have it inspected after the roof is done. 4) they do everything cleanly despite the tens of thousands nails being removed/installed. It's like the property was never touched. 5) Working with Adam was a treat because he's honest and really does try to work with your budget. He gave me a few options that put me to ease, and also reminded me to look into my roof being a tax deduction. I'm 100% satisfied with NEMA Roofing Solutions and so glad we went with him...you should, too! read more

We had a great experience with Nema Roofing. Thomas squeezed us in on a Saturday and was there early, ready to crawl up on the roof of a house we were considering buying, even though it was wet and sprinkling. He looked over our initial inspection and then thoroughly inspected the roof, taking photos of some of the issues he came across on his phone to share with us when he came down afterwards. He was quick to give us our quote, and did a wonderful job of explaining what we'd need to do in order to just patch up the roof or re-roof the house completely. When its time for us to start working on the roof of our new house, we'll call Thomas again. I've already referred him to a couple of family members. read more

From the start, NEMA Roofing stood out from the rest because of the high reviews here on Yelp. I usually go with the highest rated in the area for the services I require and I was definitely satisfied with my choice this time. Adam came to my house promptly and sat down with a model of a house to explain all the different layers and coverings required for the installation. It was great! NEMA Roofing isn't the cheapest around, but that is because the materials used and finished product are far superior to the competitors. No need to consider any roofer other than NEMA Roofing Solutions! During the last rainstorm, I noticed a small drip from behind the medicine cabinet in the upstairs bathroom which worsened as the rainy days continued. Because of the stellar reviews, I contacted NEMA Roofing Solutions. Adam was quick to respond and to come out for an evaluation. Upon arrival, he proceeded to investigate not only the cause of the water drip, but he also wanted to make sure there were no other possible roof leaks. To make a long story short, the small drip turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it led to the discovery of extensive roof damage in our 30+ year old roof. Adam was very knowledgeable and upfront with us, not pushy. It was his recommendation to replace the entire roof because of the numerous prior patch jobs (by the previous owner), etc. and the age of the roof, otherwise, we would have to go through this in another few years. He sent us his estimate immediately which included several options . . . a) fix only the area of the leak, b) replace the roof using the old tiles or c) replace the roof with all new tiles. Adam and his staff were always available and quick to respond/answer all questions and concerns we had prior to signing off on this job. We did receive estimates from other contractors, but because of Adam's honesty, professionalism, integrity, his estimate and warranty, we chose NEMA Roofing Solutions and are very happy we did! To be honest, we were hesitant to replace the entire roof but knew it would be best to do so. After Adam's crew had removed all the tile on our roof, it was discovered that the wood throughout the roof indeed had been deteriorating throughout the years; and there was even a hole caused by wood rot that had completely deteriorated. After looking at pictures, we were relieved that we had not opted to just have a "SPOT REPAIR" done. It would have been disastrous, not to mention, more costly that in the long run. Adam and his entire crew were amazing. They were prompt and very respectful of the property and my neighbors. When they would leave for the day, it was like they had never been around . . . all the debris was removed and if they needed to leave any supplies, they would ask if it was okay to make sure it was not in the way. We are extremely pleased with the quality, the service and the timely fashion the work was completed. Take away from this review: if you have an older roof that needs to be inspected, replaced or needs to just be repaired, call Adam at NEMA Roofing Solutions! Elsie M. read more

We chose Nema Roofing after we consulted with other roofing companies to replace our tar and gravel roof with shingle roof. The project manager was very personable and guided us in the entire process. He took us to the store where he buys his shingles and gutters to select the color and textures. Also he recommended to add new FlintBoard ISO layer for insulation since we have faulted ceiling, and weather guard underlayment because we have a low slope. Adam took care of the city permit and inspection schedule. Nema Roofing was very reasonable compared to the other roofing companies. We selected certain teed TL shingles that came with a warranty on material and labor. The crew showed up on time and worked very hard during the installation, they cleaned up at the end of each day. Nema Roofing did a remarkable roof replacement job for our one hundred year old house. Initially locating them using Yelp, I reviewed all the recommendations in both Yelp and Home Adviser and the CA State Licensing Board. There was not one single bad review anywhere and there were lots of reviews. Our plan was to get three estimates before deciding on which licensed contractor to hire. After meeting with their project manager, Adam, we knew that this was the company we wanted to hire. The other two estimates would not be necessary. Adam is a great representative. He was very professional yet friendly. He conducted a thorough inspection of the roof, including photos, and presented a complete estimate describing the removal, installation and warranty of the new roof. We were pleased at the cost and ultimately, at the professional installation that followed. Ron, met with us first thing on day one and introduced us to his crew. Ron followed the progress by phone and was always available for questions. The crew was very polite and always busy. They showed up clean every morning and left coated in decades worth of dirt and sawdust by the end of each day. After removing two layers of shingles and the original wood roof, they shored up the century old beams, applied new plywood, paper and the shingles we selected. They cleaned around our property daily, and finished the job in three days. read more
