I stopped in on Dec. 30 to look at and test drive a CX-5. I had previously been told by a friend that Nelson was excellent. It was super busy at 5pm on this Tuesday night because of the great financing offers available until year end. I ended up using my appraisal from sell2nelson earlier in the day in order to speed up the process on my trade. And snagged myself a 2025 cx-5 in 3.5 hours with 0% interest for the life of the loan. Had it not been quite so busy, I'm sure it would have gone a bit quicker, but the test drive was very thorough too! It was too good to pass up. I do like the sales model that you just deal with 1 person. Colby was super nice and helpful. The Mazda test drive is also very fun and really lets you learn if you enjoy the vehicle in all aspects. I would definitely recommend Nelson and Mazda. The waiting area coffee machine is super fancy. I had a double cappuccino on a chilly night. You can also get glass bottled ibc root beer while you wait. I was sold on just that. read more

Today I decided to buy a car and I have not done so in 10 years, so I had a lot of anxiety about it. When I walked into Nelson Mazda, I signed my name and waited on an associate. Walking in I knew that they were noncommissioned and had flat $500 documentation fee. I told the associate the vehicle that I wanted to test drive and did so. I've then decided to purchase the vehicle that day. The payment and documentation was seamless and not stressful. Barbara helped me and was very kind knowledgeable and not pushy. She went over warranty details, and the service has been done on the vehicle. While I was there, I did notice they had free variety of coffee and water and root beer. I even noticed that they welcome small dogs! I will be able to pick up my car in a few days, and I am very excited for the new vehicle but grateful for how easy it was to complete the sale of my new to me, used vehicle. read more

I've been coming here since 2019 my sister bought a car, had a great experience! So when it came time for me to get one I came and have been a repeat customer ever since. With a grand total of 14 plus cars over the last few years that either I bought or I brought someone in and they purchased a vehicle. This time I found one I liked and did the paperwork it was late. They were going to do some last-minute detailing and the next day I came to finish the paperwork and didn't even go look at it because I just saw it yesterday nothing should be different. Jokes on me. It had a chip in the paint on the front that they touched up.... But they got overspray on everything. The entire bumper had overspray, headlights, grill, and fog lights. They told me to bring it back the next time I'm free and they will fix it no problem. It's right after Christmas before New Year's so they were closed I brought back the next business day they were open. I loved the car, but this wasn't the car I purchased. It looked like it had been wreaked and someone spray painted on it to fix it. Embarrassing. It's within "3 days 300miles" so I told them I didn't want it. I'd get something else. That's when they told me that really doesn't mean 3 business days. 3 actual days. Which was Sunday (closed) and Monday (New Year) (closed) so they told me they would fix it. So I arranged a way to leave it and get back home. They told me it was fixed. I asked my roommate to take me there again. (It's about 30 minutes out of my way) and it looked the same. They did some rim repair on 2 rims and didn't touch the paint. So I left it again. Still haven't heard anything...don't even want it anymore and I'm betting I'll have to pay a body shop to repair it. 01/12/24 will be two weeks without the car I bought that when I picked it up was damaged by the dealership that I trustED "ED" past tense read more

Bought a used Honda a nelson mazda. Sales experience was one of the better ones I've had. Issues all started after that. The dealer put a paper on the inside of the windshield with used car info and after it was removed left a visible square where it had been that was the tint that they cut. they said the windshield tint was illegal and they got it removed but were not at all acting like they messed up cutting it to begin with and didn't Offer to pay and replace it. Also never filled car with gas after purchase which I have never experienced with any new or used car. read more

During the interaction, while I was addressing ongoing issues with my vehicle, the GM put his hands on me while asking me to leave. The dealership is now claiming that I was causing a disturbance, was asked to leave, and refused--this is not what happened. They are also stating that they do not have footage of the incident. The staff at this company are incompetent and inefficient. They cannot even get a customer's email address correct, sending emails to someone who doesn't even live in USA nor has EVER visited Tulsa. Despite being asked to remove said details from their database, they have even passed those details on to another organisation, who also email said non-customer to a harassing degree. If they can't even verify a customer's email address correctly, it makes you wonder just how efficient they are in the more important aspects of their business! So far so good. I moved to Tulsa from S California and Nelson Mazda has become a great place to get quick service. When my car has needed some service help, the service staff answers the call right away, is super friendly and always fit me in either same day or within a day or two. Desiree helped me a few times now and she couldn't be more thorough and caring. When I stop in, she's quick to get my service checks I under ten minutes and provide options from there. She also provided me with an awesome loaner rather than making me wait to get my tire fixed, knowing I had my baby to get home to. If you don't bring your car in for regular oil changes, it will cancel your car care contact I informed him that at this point, I don't care about the car care contract that I purchased and that he could cancel it if he wants to that won't stop me from telling the truth about their service. I purchased my 2023 Mazda MX5 from this dealership. Brand new. I've had a couple disheartening experiences with it- bad luck. Two broken windshields and hail damage. Recent notice of a recall. Recently my convertible top was sagging and I couldn't see out the back windshield, I was at the end. I made an appointment to have oil change and then had thoughts of selling it after the service appointment. I've just felt that it wasn't the car for me. I called and made the service appointment and the lady who answered the phone said just swing by anytime and let's see if they can fix the convertible situation. I stopped by today and was greeted by Cesar. He had the biggest smile, hopped right in my car and tried to fix it. When he couldn't he said I'm going to just have a tech look at it. I reminded him that I didn't have an appointment and if it needed to wait till the 29th at my service appointment it was ok. He said ma'am you can't see let's just see if they can do a quick fix. Five minutes later Cesar came in the lobby and said you are set - your cars out front. Even with having the hail damage- which Cesar set to get fixed with my service appointment, I drove away feeling like it was my car again and had me looking at the mishaps as just life and things that are fixable. Buyers Beware!!! We are from Texas and saw a advertisement for a Mustang like we had been looking for, so we reached out to Nelson Mazda. We got in touch with TJ Owens, he was very nice over the phone. We asked him if he would take a video of the car inside and out. He did and pointed out a few issues that we were okay with. We went ahead and bought the car, over the phone trusting that this dealership was reputable from what we had read. When we got to the dealership to pick it up, we saw most of the issues he had mentioned in the video that were spot on, however, right away we noticed the most obvious and significant tear in the drivers front seat. We brought this to TJ's attention and he said he would go asked the manger if there was anything they could do about it. The answer when he got back was, "it is not a safety issue, so we are not worried about it." Of course at this point, we had no leverage, because we had already purchased the car. We got the car home and received a phone call from TJ, and I again expressed our disappointment that they wouldn't do anything about it when they were clearly negligent. He said he would talk to his manager again and call me right back, not sure where his manager is located, but I am still waiting for that call. I texted him the estimate for the tear and it was $225, still have never heard from him. Typical used car salesman that is nice as can be, until the sale is done. Also, if they were worried about safety, the windshield wipers were in tatters, car was dirty and not fueled up. I was hoping this dealership was different, but it's just like all the rest! Where do I start, I went in to test drive a CX-30 Turbo and fell in love with it. I set up an appointment for Saturday with a salesman to buy said car. I was referred to Nelson Mazda by a coworker whose mother-in-law works there. Salesman failed to tell me the vehicle was sold prior to my appointment and confirmed our meeting time. Going back to the test drive salesman did not go over any features the car had nor tell me about the forward collision warning and automatic braking system, handed me the keys and said drive it like you stole it, have fun see you later. After returning I told him I loved it and it was a high contender for me, but salesman failed to tell me about an opportunity to put a down payment to hold the car. When I arrived Saturday 8/10/24 I was upset, the sales manager came over and tried to smooth things over but was stalling because he had been apologizing for his sales associates failing to provide correct information. He asked what he could do to make it up to me and I said train your people right! I've been in customer service for over 20 years, and I would never act like that. So needless to say, I will not step foot in that dealership ever again, they lost a customer here and to top it off the salesman who I originally had my appointment with was too busy to help me and after I left, he sent me a text message apologizing for the misunderstanding. The service department charged me $917 for an alternator repair and broke the radiator in the process. They wanted to charge me $869 to replace the radiator part that cost me $145. They overcharged for service, made me sign a waiver that they wouldn't guarantee the work, and lied to me through the process. I will never use this service department or dealership again. After posting this the COO called and offered to refund $300 and apologized for the service. There was a mixup with the check and it took 3 weeks to deliver. Hi, my name is Corbin Schermerhorn and i purchased the used 2013 white dodge ram. I Purchased this vehicle on 07/06/2019 and opted in for GAP however i did not purchase an extended warranty package as i was told it could be added at any time. I live in Austin Texas and took a less than pleasant 13 hour bus ride to Oklahoma to purchase this vehicle. Upon arriving back in Austin, (same day) a seven hour, 500 mile drive in my next to new truck..(49k miles) The A/C and heater both went out. Now keep in mind this is the same day of purchase, the conversation with my sales representative (mate) proceeded as follows: Me: " Hi, the AC in the truck just went out" Mate: "what the heck??" I then sent him a video of the AC or heater not working whatsoever. Me: "is this going to be an out of pocket repair?" Mate: "wow that's weird, did you purchase easy care?" (the warranty) Me: "No i just purchased GAP insurance." Again keep in mind this is the same day of purchase... Mate: "Yeah man i definitely did not see that coming. As we discussed when we signed papers, all the pre-owned vehicles are sold as is in the state of Oklahoma. And the Manufacturers warranty has expired unfortunately." Me: "So i cannot return the truck and will have to pay out of pocket is what is happening?" Mate: "We have a 3 day/300 mile return policy (whichever comes first). But you are obviously over the 300 miles. I am sorry man." Me: "wow, so ill be making a 500$ payment each month for 6 years for a vehicle that is Faulty on the first day?, I can't do that" Mate: "Man i wish we had a magic ball and foresee the future. You know that it worked just fine and it did not go out after driving 30 miles. This is why we have to offer protection for every vehicle we sell." Me: " this isn't right." I will be continuously Contacting Nelson Mazda to resolve this issue as well as posting this on numerous Car buying and vehicle consumer websites To inform Buyers of the risk of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership As well as looking into the legalities regarding this particular issue. IE 2015 Consumers Rights Act as it pertains the Right to reject, And The sale of Goods Act of 1979 and many others in relation to specific lemon laws according to state. I would strongly suggest Thinking twice about purchasing a used vehicle from this dealer, unless you come prepared to pay a premium for extended warranty on top of regular insurance on top of gap protection. My girlfriend's daughter bought a used Kia from Nelson's a couple of months ago. Less than a week later a new alternator was needed at a cost over$700. The car started running poorly and at times the brake lights would stay on draining the battery. She texted the salesman Desmond and his only comment was, that's the chance you take buying used. No offer to help and really short. I replaced the brake switch grommet and fixed everything for $3.00. Way to go Desmond your lack of empathy says it all. Don't recommend this dealer. read more

We initially had a pleasant experience buying a used vehicle from this dealer. They made us feel comfortable and confident with their pitch about how they have these great inspections before putting a car for sale, and great service after the sale. Beware of their "10 Promises" on Certified Used Cars. They don't stand behind them. We purchased the car and within 1 hour, the clutch gave out. We called the salesman immediately and told him the problem. He instructed us to wait until the next day to bring it in and they would "make it right". We took it in and were told it would be an hour wait. After 2 1/2 hours, they came out and handed us a $1300 bill. They claimed we had to have burned it out after purchase, and that they were not responsible. The sales manager even suggested we might find somewhere that could replace it cheaper. We explained that we would not have purchased the car had we known this was an issue. Their only response was basically, "Sorry, good luck!" Despite #5 on their "10 promises on Certified Used Cars" to fix anything on the inspection list within 30 days, we were required to pay the entire cost. After this review was posted, I was contacted by the general manager who again reiterated that the clutch had to have gone out in the hour after driving off the lot since I didn't notice a problem on the short test drive. I explained that the abrupt handing of the bill with the no-holds-barred "This is your fault" explanation made an impression, and explained that even offering a discount on the repair might have kept us as customers and from warning everyone we know about buying or servicing a car here. The next day, the salesman called back to offer $150 break on the repair, but by that time, we had already found a reputable mechanic (who doesn't have a low 3 star rating) that was up front about the cost of the part and the labor and came in under $1000. The clutch is now being replaced and our January new car purchase will be made elsewhere. read more

Gave it another try. Took my 6 in for an oil change and, as I was already thinking of trading it in, took a look around. The service manager told me everything was ok and $200 later, I'm sitting at a sales desk thinking, "ok, I'll give a trade-in a go and put the $200 I just paid on the deal for a new vehicle" which was good with your sales department. Just as the negotiations were getting into 6th gear, the sales manager walks over with the repair report to discuss the bad tie rod that was set to throw at any time. I didn't have any idea about a bad tie rod because, again, the service department withheld the information on my service receipt. Comparisons of the report I was given and the one the sales manager pulled off were reviewed and it was like looking at 2 different car reports - there were double the items on the sales manager's report than on mine. This is disturbing on far too many levels. How many free oil changes as a "resolution" does it take before your service department puts safety measures in place (I did not use this "resolution" and, besides, your records did not reflect that I was given a free oil change because of the tire incident so what would have been the point)? Are you really that forgetful of quality or has this become so much the "norm" for your service department that they take no responsibility and keep disclosures such as bad tire rims and bad tie rods a closely-guarded secret in order to feel good about themselves? If your sales manager that day (this was many months ago so I forget his name) hadn't been as good and accommodating as he was, I wouldn't have a new vehicle right now because I had already walked out (fuming mad) because of the surprises from the "real" service department report on my 6. Let's be very clear - I didn't walk out to get a better deal - your sales lady was so good that I didn't feel the need to play that game. I walked out because Nelson Mazda has disappointed me again and I was ready to blow a gasket. This review gets a 5-star rating for the sales department but again, a 1-star for the service department. No need to try and make up for this or contact me because, rest assured, I will come back to get my new vehicle serviced by Nelson Mazda. My husband and I purchased a 2013 Lexus 570 mid-October 2020. We live in Texas so we had to secure funding before making the visit to Tulsa, OK. The financial institute we chose requires dealerships to handle TTL paperwork before releasing any funds because Texas is a lien-holding state. I confirmed with Lindsay in the title department that TTL paperwork would be handled by the dealership. However, that was not the case. Within a week, I was mailed the TTL check along with the title. That to me indicates bad faith because they did not follow through on their words and I paid a $399 documentation fee. During the sales process we were able to negotiate with Daniel H. We pointed out major mechanical flaws to the vehicle such as cracked radiator, moisture in a headlight, and worn-down brake pads.
