I have a 2023 Honda Odyssey. After my quarter glass was replaced, the technician who did the work forgot to plug in the antenna connection that runs through the quarter glass. Because of that, my radio reception was not working properly. I took my vehicle to South Pointe expecting a proper diagnosis. Instead, I was told that the quarter glass itself was "bad" and was quoted $1,100 to replace it. When I got home, I decided to inspect it myself and immediately found that the antenna connection was simply unplugged. Once it was plugged back in, the radio worked perfectly. I was due for an oil change so made an online appt while I was in the area. The first available appointment was 15 minutes from the moment I checked. I made the appointment and arrived at the dealership at the exact time. The service garage door opened up as soon I drove up to it. While I was waiting for the oil change, I went into the show room to look at a car or two and then relaxed in the lounge area where they had a really cool coffee machine and donuts. I won't tell you how many donuts I ate, but it was definitely more than one. It took about an hour from the time that I arrived until the time that I left. I don't consider that unreasonable, especially since I was able to spend a few minutes looking at a car and then was able to enjoy the lounge area. I actually prefer going to the dealer for my oil changes because I can usually get a coupon in the mail which makes it cheaper than going to your typical quick oil change type of place. The downside is that inevitably they always come back to you with about three or four things that they suggest you have done like Brake line fluid replacement, radiator flush, new spark plugs, etc. I usually pass on the extras. I find the people here friendly, and will continue to come for routine maintenance. read more

Ended up trading my car , I had the car for less than 48hrs, called an asked if i could swap it for a different car . Seeing as the one I got was terrible on gas . They told me NO I couldn't swap it for something different , but they could do a "trade in value " but i wouldn't get retail . i had the car less than 2 days !! and it was 26,000$ . complete BS . most dealerships give you 72hrs ... after 2 weeks of having the car it started having issues . called service department at their chevy location next door , was told to bring my car at 10am they would have the car for 4-6 hours to look at it ... umm no i get there and they tell me "ok we will call you in 3 days once we look at your car. told me id have to pay for a rental car for 3 days, after telling me they'd only need the car for 4-6 hours . I left so upset .they also dont offer loaner cars. I had a horrible experience w their Honda Services. I brought in my new Honda for a routine check up (to have tires checked and rotated, oil topped off, just routine-my car had no issues before going to them). After I drove off, after about 5 minutes, my dashboard started blinking "Air tire pressure low". I had to go back twice at 9pm for them to fix this and they were unable to (and I live an hour away in the country-so I could not drive home when there was an issue w my tire). The person who attended to this issue was Ryan at front desk. He had a horrible attitude and disrespected me (right away he was rude, passive aggressive, unprofessional, petty, defensive and making ridiculous excuses that it blinked because of the weather--my car was brand new and dashboard never blinked this issue before). Ryan told me first "you're not safe to drive..." then "you are making a bid deal about nothing you ARE safe to drive", gaslighting me etc. Ryan was completely disrespectful and unprofessional and talked down to a petite girl in the middle of the night who was alone after he and his workers messed up my Honda. After I went back 2nd time and they couldnt fix it he told me "just go to a car service place in your area. It shouldnt cost much." (after I paid them $80 for routine check up on my car that had no issues before they touched it, he was insisting that it was better for me to save the drive and pay more money for someone else to fix what they messed up). I shall be speaking to the manager as this person was outrageously disrespectful and unprofessional and should not be working front desk or with women. Also when I first made the appointment w him, he did not even put in the correct date. He is incompetent. and South Pointe Honda clearly are incompetent too as they failed to fix the dashboard after I went back twice after rotating my tires and then allowed there site to have a front desk person who who has the nerve to disrespect and abuse someone for their own mistake. I will never go to South Pointe Honda again. If I need to buy a Honda I will drive to another state or city to do it. I took my car the next morning to the Certified Honda place in Muskogee and an amazing worker fixed it right away, charged nothing and said that just didnt know how to reset properly and that my car absolutely should not have that blinking right after a certified Honda place got it fixed (South Pointe lied and gaslighted me and told me otherwise). I make appointments and still wait HOURS...so today, my service rep finally admitted an appointment doesn't matter at all. First come first serve, and arriving at 640 isn't early enough to spend less than 3 hours getting an alignment apparently. Service rep said "next time have us get you a ride". Nice. Maybe next time you give me an accurate quote time (I was told basically no wait and alignments take around 30 minutes) so I don't waste an entire morning. read more

On April 20, 2024, we purchased a 2024 Honda Civic Sport as a college graduation gift for my daughter at South Pointe Honda. We also purchased the Honda warranty package, dent protection, key replacement, and gap insurance, as well as a $1,500 down payment. On July 12, 2024 my daughter was involved in a car accident that totaled the vehicle. Our insurance paid out the fair market value of the vehicle at that time which a little over $24,000. With the warranty and all the extras the vehicle total cost was over $30,000. We were told gap would pay for the difference owed. July 22, 2024, we picked out another Honda Civic Sport to purchase , a 2025, and signed all the paperwork. We were told the vehicle wouldn't be delivered until early August. To our surprise it arrived earlier. I wanted to wait until the other vehicle was paid in full, but was told by Austin that everything was covered and what was the hesitation in picking up the vehicle. Again, I wanted to wait but was assured because we purchased the gap insurance we would be fine. On July 25, 2025 we were asked to come back to the dealership and resign the paperwork because we didn't pick up the vehicle until July 25th; strange. Our insurance paid for the loss on July 26th. I still haven't been told when Honda cancelled the warranty. August 6, the loss letter was sent to Austin. Prior to this we called Austin about the gap insurance stating they didn't see a policy for us, so we went to the dealership again and Austin, my daughter, and I filled out the information online to get the gap insurance process going. Over a month and a half has passed since the accident and a month since insurance paid the fair market value of the vehicle. Here's the dilemma, a car payment was due August 4th and another one is due September 4th making her owe over $1,200 and showing a missed payment and coming up on another missed payment. This process shouldn't have taken this long! Gap insurance stated they won't pay because the refund from all the extras (warranty/etc.) is more than what owed. However, this process has taken so long she has a new car payment due & payment(s) on the totaled car even though we are owed a refund!!! Again, I wanted to wait but was assured everything was taken care of with gap. When we left the dealership disappointed at this whole experience from Austin bringing me a blank gap cancellation form expecting a signature. Who puts their signature on a blank document? Then I asked about the date of loss being left blank and he said he'd have to call Honda Finance to see what date to put, but miraculously after the document was signed he finds a finance person that tells him the date would be today! Then tells me it will be another 7-8 weeks before the paperwork would be processed! This is ridiculous! I need for the General Manager and Finance Manager to contact me. Ok so listen this entire experience felt like a scam & I'm not even joking. I received a mailer for a crazy $7.95 oil change and I actually called before driving 1hr to get there to make sure this was a real deal coupon or a scam but no they ( the person I talked to that made my appointment confirmed the coupon was legit ) and I drove over the same day. I checked in and was off to my grandfathers funeral over in Sand Springs & I bet we made it 30 minutes before a phone call from a service advisor that the coupon couldn't be honored and I seriously about lost my crap but with a funeral literally about to begin I wasn't in the mood to deal with this bs and said well hell whatever and hung up. After our services and all that my brother drove me back over and now I had a new service advisor that wasn't much help with the issue of this coupon that brought me way the hell over here from Cleveland in the first place. Now I called before I drove over and it was confirmed that this was legit so I did just that but after they called and said otherwise I felt completely scammed and taken advantage of. I never wouldn't driven here had I known this would happen. Oil change and tire rotation set me $80+ I've called and left a message with a supervisor but to this point I haven't received a single call. If you care at all about your vehicle I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. I've taken my car to this dealership's service department twice and both times they have damaged my vehicle. I probably shouldn't have gone back after the first time but I believe in second chances and this place proved to me that some things don't change. The first time they damaged my vehicle it was impossible to get ahold of my service provider. I called multiple times and was told that my message would get passed along and it never did because I never got calls back. The second time they damaged my vehicle they did respond quickly, however the body shop they referred me too also damaged the vehicle they were trying to fix. Last time at the service dept - I made an appointment for 0700 drop off for oil change, new wipers and to have them check a suspicious noise my car was making while turning. I arrived at the dealership at 3:30-4:00 to find they had not even started on my car. I waited an additional 2.5 hours. Based on their time constraints, they were not able to complete all services. They did not check the noise. The service manager did make it right by not charging for services they did perform. Fast forward to my most recent visit - I make an appointment for 0700 drop off to once again check the suspicious noise that had worsened. I phoned ahead around 3:00 to ensure that my car had indeed been evaluated. I was told that there was a new service mechanic and he had failed to get the keys out of the lock box. Thus, no one had even looked at my car. I arrived after 4:00, only to be told that my car had a major issue, with no parts available in the foreseeable future. The issue made my vehicle unsafe to drive and since there are absolutely no parts and no timeline for availability...I had to buy a new car. I feel, given the circumstances, I was given a fairly good deal on trade and for the new vehicle price. I do believe the warranty price was excessive and I should have negotiated. I was looking for a new (to me) used car, and kept going from dealership to dealership, when someone finally said to me, "stop that , go to carfax.com and put in what you can pay, what you're looking for, and THEN go look at it." Game changer! Carfax led me to South Pointe Honda to test drive a 2012 Civic, which looked to be exactly what I wanted. There was an option to inquire if the the vehicle was still available, another if you had specific questions, another if you wanted to make a test drive appointment. I ticked the box for test drive appointment, and put in my information. The very next morning I received a phone call from a man named Chris, asking me what time I'd like to come in and test drive the Honda Civic. I made an appointment for 3pm, and let him know I was hoping to trade in my 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis. I went in with my stepdad at 3:00, and met with Chris. Everyone was wearing masks, and there was ample hand sanitizer available, which I appreciated during these covid times! I test drove the Civic, made my stepdad drive it for a bit because I don't trust my own judgment , and I absolutely loved it! There was a crack in the windshield at the very top in the center, like where the rear view mirror is kind of area, but other than that it was pretty perfect. The mileage on it was high, but it's a Honda, so I'm not too worried about it. It was a little bit more than we were looking to spend, and they had a $499 "lot fee", and they initially only offered $500 for my Grand Marquis, where as a lot of the other dealerships I'd been to had offered $1,000, $1,100... but eventually we agreed on them taking the Grand Marquis, and us getting the Civic for $5,500 and they'd replace the windshield. The Civic was originally $5,700, plus the lot fee of $499. So, not too bad. I really feel like Chris worked with us as much as he could. He was also very friendly, and personable. He and my stepdad have the same truck (Honda Ridgeline) , and they were talking about how much they love them, and then my stepdad said his wife/my mom has a Honda CRV, which is also what Chris's wife has! So that was a funny coincidence. Anyway... I had a very nice experience at South Pointe. I didn't feel pressured, I feel like they worked with me, I didn't feel like I was being scammed, I never had to second-guess anything like I felt like I did at other places. I felt so much pressure and like no matter what I did I was making the wrong choice at other car lots and dealerships. Like maybe I was just going from one bad car to another bad car, and was I making a terrible mistake? It was just a terrible, nerve-wracking experience... but that's not at all how I felt at South Pointe and about my Civic. I love my Civic. I'm very happy with my experience. Only thing is I'm still waiting on my title/registration. It's the 31st and I got my car on the 12th. Hopefully it's just a mail delay because of covid, and it'll show up here in the next few days! read more

Three (3) more hours (an hour after being told "shortly") I am still waiting. Six hours for an oil change and tires. UNACCEPTABLE. 10/31/2022 - In the interest of transparency and as a follow-up, I spoke with Chris Cox who agreed the service time I experienced was extensive and he would look into the reasoning. Clean facility and the cars do look good on their used lot, but sales manager Ryan is a very snooty and arrogant person. My recommendation is buyers be EXTREMELY wary of this dealer! Cars are way overpriced, i.e.: 2005 Black Toyota Tundra is listed for $10,000 with 228,000 plus miles on the motor and transmission! A tundra of this same type with about 150,000 shown on Kelly Blue Book in fair condition (yes, this truck is fair condition with dents, dings and LOTs of scratches) goes for between $7400-$9100, fair market value! To recap: Overpriced vehicles, snooty pompous manager Ryan, and low ball trade-in offers for vehicles worth far more! Basically, Ryan just insulted my intelligence. Expect long waits and unfriendly service here. This place used to be great years ago, now it's depressing even knowing I have to go there. Expect a line of men standing behind computers looking too busy to help you when you walk in for service. They're stare at you for a second while you just slink to the back glass wall wondering wth? Finally one of the dudes will say something, give you a quick run down that sounds great and send you off to the waiting area. Here is where you will start a whole new life as you will be there for a minimum of an hour and a half for something stupid-easy, like a nail in the tire, or for something a little more complicated expect over a 2 hour wait for an oil change. This is my experience EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I can no longer recommend this place and tell my friends and family to stay away. Seriously, go anywhere else, they do not care here and it shows in how the treat you AND your car. I never leave here feeling good and lose half my day. read more

I was told by South Pointe that my battery was good bc I specifically asked for it to be tested on 4/28 . My vehicle died 3 times after that . I took it to Autozone on 5/3 and was told my battery was bad. I called South Pointe & spoke to my service advisor Matt , and after explaining how I felt and requested to be given a deal , he quoted me $160 & stood by the fact that they tested the battery. He said my battery must have gone bad within the 5 days. This is not the first time I have had issues , I have even given good reviews in hopes that it was just me being worrisome. I am not sure what's happening with South Pointe, but I am very disappointed and I will pay the extra $100 at autozone for a new battery because they give me honesty. read more

I have reached out to South Pointe Honda multiple times to address our service problem. Two separate messages have been left for Roger, the service manager. After over 3 weeks with no call back, it's evident they don't care. My wife made an appointment to have our minivan serviced prior to a road trip. We also planned to have a new key made for the vehicle. She verified that they had the key in stock and inquired about how long the appointment would take. The day of the appointment, our service call dragged out many hours longer than the time expectation we were given. They also did not have the key in stock. This was a major inconvenience for our family. There was no accountability. A few days later someone called to check on our service experience, which presented a perfect opportunity to politely express our frustration. We were assured that the service manager would call us. He never did. 10 days later I called again to share our experience. Still no call back over a week later. I'm usually pretty considerate when leaving reviews, giving the benefit of the doubt to the business, but let me walk you through my story and you can decide. My wife and I live in KC and are in the market for an Odyssey. We found an Odyssey online at South Pointe for a good deal, and were getting more info on the van before we make the 4 hour drive to Tulsa with our two year old daughter. On Tuesday, I had my initial contact with Sarah on the sales team, getting the basic info on the vehicle, making sure it was available, letting her know that I was interested in it, and was planning on making the trip down the week after Christmas. Two days later (today) I called back in to have some additional questions answered about the van. Whether or not routine maintenance had been done (they need a new timing belt around this time) overall condition, tires, etc. All of those questions were answered and I was asked if I wanted to set up a time for next week to see it. I said no, as I would call back the day of to ensure it was still available before heading down. Wasn't sure what my schedule was. Luckily I have a friend who lives in Broken Arrow that was willing to swing by for me to give it the once over. I know you aren't going to believe me, but oddly enough,one hour later, this van wasn't on the lot. It turns out, there is a stop sale on these Odysseys (has been for a few weeks) and all Honda dealers aren't even available to sell them. Oh, and this one actually already has a deposit on it. Luckily I didn't drive 4 hours to Tulsa to realize that I had been lied to by multiple employees at South Pointe. Check photos carefully before wasting your time buying a car from this dealership. We found a car there, talked to two sales people about this car before driving two hours to pick it up. No one ever mentioned that there were after market stickers, trim, fins and spoilers that were peeling off. Scratches and dents are one thing, but not to mention these add-ons? You could not see them in the internet photos. The sales person literally said that he would never tell a potential customer about the flaws in the car as long as it was safe to drive.
