Last Saturday was my bridal shower, and I booked my makeup with Adam because I trusted him to be there for such an important occasion. My appointment had been confirmed the day before, so I planned my entire morning around it. I arrived on time only to find out that Adam was not coming because he had called in sick. Unfortunately, no one contacted me beforehand to let me know. I completely understand that illnesses and emergencies happen. However, not notifying a bride before she drives to her appointment on the morning of her bridal shower is unacceptable. A simple phone call, text, or email would have allowed me to make other arrangements. Instead, I was left scrambling at the last minute, adding unnecessary stress to a day I had been looking forward to for months. To make matters more confusing, I noticed Adam had posted on Instagram out with friends the night before. While I don't know the circumstances surrounding his illness, seeing those posts made it difficult to understand what happened. Regardless of the reason, the lack of communication is what I found most concerning. I wanted to bring this to your attention because this experience fell far below the level of professionalism I expected. I hope this feedback helps ensure future clients are notified promptly if an appointment cannot be honored, especially for milestone events like weddings and bridal celebrations.

Just take about any line and hop off at the Washington Street stop. You can park here, since there are garages all over the place and there's street parking I'd you're lucky. After showing her a photo of what I wanted, one of the first things she told me was that she was the most expensive stylist in the salon. I told her that was fine and asked for a quote. She came back with a quote of $560 for the color service, which I agreed to. When I asked about adding a haircut, she said it would be around $680 total, and I agreed to that as well. Instead of moving forward with scheduling, she seemed annoyed and asked when I wanted to book. I told her I wanted the soonest available appointment. She said she wasn't available until June 30 and then immediately started suggesting other stylists in the salon who could do it sooner. June 30 wasn't even that far away, and I had no issue waiting for her availability. The entire interaction gave me the impression that she simply did not want to take me on as a new client. If that was the case, I would have preferred she just say so directly rather than being dismissive and making me feel unwelcome. I've never had a consultation where I felt so much like I was being talked out of booking an appointment. There may be talented stylists here, but based on my experience with Stacy, I left feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and like my business wasn't wanted.
