If I could give zero stars I would. I used to frequent this place. Usually this place is very good. We were helped by a girl in her twenties that looked like she just rolled out of bed. She was very dry and rude. I bought some donuts and a few large coffees. I went back to the cashier to buy another chocolate milk for my son asked for more creamer for my moms coffee... this girl said my manager said no" I told got my family and we left. I will never go there again. I have never written a bad review in my life, but the service I received was so bad I had no choice. This place sucks and it's the crappy staff. read more

Girl who works there is rude and stale.. she rang me up with her gloves on that she touch my bagel with after she rang it up. Didn't say anything cos 3 bucks on a coffee and bagel is nothing. Stopped on my way to work this morning and got 3 puffy thingies and a apple fritter. The people couldn't be more nice. The owner talked to me awhile about all they have to offer insisting that I come and try a pizza soon, however we already have a favorite pizza place but they offer sandwiches and a salad bar which is way cool. When I get time I'll stop in and try the salad bar, I have high hopes on it!my puffy thingies were fine and the fritter is huge I'll be taking it home to split the husband. I went here purchased a box of 15 count mixed donuts for a lil over $9. I get home open the box to distribute between my family and 2 jelly donuts have mold spots on bottom of donuts and others taste like day old donuts even tho they ensure daily freshness! I called the shop and associate was so rude and unapologetic, I wasn't offered any kind of compensation and was rushed off phone! I have been to Neil's dozens of times, I dispute the woman's claim of finding a bug in her food. This staff is cleaning the shop every spare minute and I've never seen any evidence of anything of that sort. The morning worker Mike is especially courteous and my grandkids love this guy. Neil is a caring and hands on owner who is always looking for ways to improve his label and open more shops (which of course means more jobs). Keep up the good work Neil, and give Mike a raise because he is awesome!! read more

This place just opened (after months of a "coming soon" sign). I'm partial to old fashioned/buttermilk donuts on the rare occasion I eat them. I bought one of each here. They were the best I've had in 30 years--I'm serious. My wife didn't seem quite as taken with her maple bar, but it looked good. This place also has sandwiches, pizza, salad bar and ice cream. I hope they can stay in business! read more

I have to say I am extremely disappointed that I have to go this far as to write a review on this business. I absolutely LOVE Neil's hot chocolate. I go there AT LEAST 4-5 nights a week on my 12am lunch from my shift at st marys which is right across the street... this time, I ordered a bagel and my usual hot chocolate. walked back to work which by the way, took a whole 25 minutes to wait for the order, sat at my desk and was too impatient to wait for my coco to cool off... so I took off the lid and found ants in my cup. ANTS. I wish I was able to post the pictures I took! not to mention my bagel was so stale you could practically crack it in half. needless to say, I threw both away! (after pictures of the ants of course) I called the donut shop and the lady told me to bring back my coco and bagel!!!!! why on earth would I take the time to do such a thing! I told her I want a refund and I will be coming in to get it and I notified her in a very nice tone, that they have ants in there products. anyways, 2 days later I come in for my refund, and the manager refused to give me my refund and wasn't apologetic what so ever!! he said it was against policy. now, I would not mind what so ever if I didn't get a refund, but he could have at least said something along the lines of "wow I was unaware I am so sorry I will make sure to do a better job at making my staff keep up on cleaning and sanitizing, unfortunately I can not give you a refund, it is against our policy." I wouldn't be angry at all. but seeing the other reviews (bugs being in donuts, mold ect) I HAVE to write this. just Facebook alone, have notified so many people and people who live/work in the area are all boycotting this business. this is such a shame and I'm upset at the way this was handled. I am all for family/self owned businesses, but this one needs to get it together. read more

This morning I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had trying to purchase a dozen donuts! It's donuts it is not rocket science! Sad but true in the service industry the customer is always right even when they are wrong! Jasmine Ward gets paid to serve donuts & be knowledgable of what is in her clear, glass case & where it can be located when her customer points to the item in her glass case! Instead she chose to engage in an argument, using a victim mentality that escalated the situation from 0 to 1000 in a matter of moments! I am not proud of my behavior this morning, however, antagonistic service was not what I went there with my good money to purchase! I took my business to Slik Donuts on Main St in Hesperia where I received amazing customer service from Amanda!! I give Neil's zero stars & a big thumbs down! read more

HORRIBLE! the worst donut shop I've ever been to. I ordered a cinnamon bun that had walnuts on top, it was completely hard and stale. I didn't even eat half of it because it was unbearable. My boyfriend ordered a jalapeno ham and cheese croissant and it was burnt. then to top it all off the guy working there was so rude. The WORST way to start my day.
