First of all - I've lived in the high desert 40 years and have eaten many donuts. This place is by far my favorite that just so happens to be right down the street from my home. Lucky me! The thing that is even cooler is that it's open 24 hours a day, so if I'm craving some sweet, doughy, crispy, and buttery goodness at midnight I can stop in to satisfy my craving. I've stopped in at 2am, noon, and also at 5am. Ya, I've been to Neil's dozens of times and every time the shelves are fully stocked and the aroma of chocolate and sugar is in the air coaxing me into partaking of its splendid delights. If you aren't in the mood for sugar, they also carry really delicious croissants that are perfectly balanced with crisp and flaky crusts. You can also get them containing ham, cheese, and or/jalapeños. You can have your treat warmed or not. My favorite donuts are their buttermilk, chocolate chip filled, and apple fritters in size medium or large. They also carry blueberry fritters in medium or large sized. The fritters - an amazing balanced amount crispy, buttery, and sweet, but not too sweet to the point of becoming overwrought with the sugar. When you want a touch of sweetness, but not croissant sweet, the plain top buttermilk donut should be your choice. It has soft bread within, but the outer layer is just crispy enough to melt in your mouth. To save the best for last, in my opinion - the chocolate chip filled donut. This is a donut I've been told the Victorville shop regularly has, but when Victorville brings their delivery to the Apple Valley shop, they don't bring over the chocolate chip. I'd even forgotten it existed until a couple weeks ago when I saw it displayed just above the custard and jelly filled donuts of the AV shop. What the donut is - it's like a jelly-filled donut, but rather than jelly or custard there is a chocolate chip and fudge mixture inside. Then the topping is a chocolate fudge icing. Oh, taking a bite of the soft, sweet, and fudgy splendidness is like getting in on a taste of heaven! Ya, I'm hungry for goodies now! Cross your fingers the AV shop has my chocolate chip treat today! NOTE: Recently the name of this donut shop changed. It is now Rainbow or something. I don't remember, but I'll update soon to let you all know! NOTE 2: Although I haven't been to the Victorville shop, I do know it's on the northeast corner of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road right by Vons. The area isn't great during the night, but it is well populated. I don't know if this shop is open 24 hours though. The Apple Valley shop's area is near a not-so-good neighborhood, but it's far enough away that I always feel safe any time of night and day I've been. It is just on the other side of Coldstone Creamery - they share a wall. Round Table and Subway are shops over. In case you're still unsure where this donut shop is, it is in the same shopping center as Target, but it's closer to Starbucks. Go check them out! There is seating for several people including a 2 person table out front. They accept credit/debit card, but I don't know if they accept other forms of payment besides that and cash. Hello my loves, so today I was very hungry and decided to eat some donuts so I went to my local donut shop as usual Neil's donuts, so when I went in there was a very little girl. I asked for a glazed donut my favorite. So then when I was going to pay somehow she was doing very bad ugly faces to me and I didn't know what she meant by looking at my feet and back at my face and she started to laugh so then I went into my car and was going to send a picture to my husband then i noticed it had MOLD in it I was very shock . Howdy everyone on a lovely day I craving donuts and I so happened to be next this donut shop and as soon as I walked in I seen a young lady who looked to be 11 she was the one to be helping me and i didn't mind at first until this young lady started to rush me and when I asked for a dozen had no clue what a dozen was and she had a rude tone and did not sound happy to help me so then when I paid it said I gave a 2 dollar tip when it didn't give me an option to so i politely asked for the refund because she did not deserve the 2 dollar tip after that experience and she did not give me it back and i had to leave with my donuts and as soon as i got home and bit my donut it had no filling!!! And the chocolate tasted like mint! So overall this experience was terrible and I do not recommend to go if you really wanna get your order taken by rude employees! read more

Stopped today and purchased a very tasty crumb covered cinnamon roll. I wanted a hot tea with it, but the 3 boxes they had were not what I was looking for. Could not get iced tea as the machine was not working. Finally, chose a bottled drink from the huge selection in the cooler. Sat to. Eat and read. There were crumbs on the table and the general appearance of the shop was untidy. Floor was clean. Could not locate a napkin. Service is extremely friendly and accommodating. The hour I spent there, a steady stream of folks came and went. They seemed to be regulars. The bilingual staff accommodated Spanish-speaking as well as English-speaking customers. Donuts- 5 Price - 5 Customer service - 5 Facility/Ambiance- 2 This shop would benefit from some upgrading and more frequent table wiping. This is my daughter and her bff's favorate spot. It is in walking distance from our home and due to scorching hot weather I decided to give them a ride to this place for the first time. I could imagine what it might look like from the signage outside and it was exactly how I imagined. Old fashioned nighborhood donut shop. The place looks bigger inside and the sell a scoop of ice cream for $1.99 and a donut for a 93cents. No wonder my kids like this place! My daughter and her bff's ordered this giant donut for a $1.75 and the girl who works there dipped a chocolate for free. She was nice and personal. As I am writing this review with 4 stars in mind, my daughter is yelling for a 5 star. Lol. My dauger was so happy and she bought me a donut as well. Best donuts, so good! I am visiting the area and was looking for a good donut spot. I was craving a glazed old-fashioned donut and went to another donut shop first. They had really high reviews and seemed nice, but their donut was not that great and the coffee was weak and lacked flavor. I decided to try another location in my quest for a great donut and landed here. The old-fashioned donut melts in your mouth and is so good! The raised varieties are great as well. They have been at this location for a few years according to the lady who helped me, but the address on Yelp was wrong when I visited. I had to seek out this place and submit a change of address when I found it. That might be the reason for so few reviews, because it is clearly a superior donut shop and was super busy while I was there. I've been to Neils several times, once in the morning and once in the evening.. First of all the donuts are great. Always fresh and delicious. Where they need improvement is the employees working there . Both times I was there a younger girl in the morning and a younger guy in the evening, they don't make you feel welcome, they act as your bothering them . I left tips both times I was there and not even an acknowledgement . I go to the one on Bear Valley Road, next to the Vons. Id get off work late usually and would sometimes head to Neil's since theyre 24 hours and the donuts would usually be made fresh when id get there. It was usually Jesus working and hes the sweetest! I no longer work near there so I do miss getting a fresh glazed buttermilk donut, my favorite! Their coffee is great and my dad is a huge fan of their ice cream. Came here to get a dozen+ donuts. We had a family get together the next morning so I wanted to get everyone donuts for breakfast. We were able to pick out all the donuts we wanted and was ready to check out. I met the server at the register after he folded up our donut box and he began ringing me up. Our total was over $20. Everything seems good up to now until 15 mins later when I get home and find out he didn't put half the donuts I picked out and saw him put into the box. I drive 15 mins back to the donut shop and he has the rest of my order sitting behind the counter. He brings them over to the register and starts ringing me up again! I'm now being double charged for the donuts I already paid for on my last trip. I explained this to him and he just shrugged it off like he couldn't understand what I was saying. On 6-15-2019 ((( Find crap or boogers on your donuts ? ))? I just went to Neil's Donuts on Bear Valley Rd, Victorville CA. ( THE DONUT SHOP NEXT TO VON'S ENTRANCE ) I seen the older man, I guess he's the cook or maybe the owner ? He is bringing out fresh cooked powered jelly filled donuts. He wipes his nose with his bare hands and fingers. Then...he picks up the donuts with his hands, he did not wash them, he didn't use plastic gloves, he did not use tongs. I mentioned to another young chubby gal. He just touched all those donuts with his filthy hands. She tells him, why you touching those with your hands ? He replies' "SO" ?!! I said that's gross, use gloves or tongs. He replies: "it's hard to cook with gloves". I said: "SO"...then at least use them when you touch them or use tongs. Donut shop is a joke. Ordered a blueberry jelly filled donut and there's maybe a table spoon of filling. Employee doesn't like to deal with the boba so when I asked for it there wasn't any for my drink. Also asked for a special cream donut and she told me it was only for the afternoon but I've been in one other time before in the morning and they had it. I enjoyed the donuts the two times I have been here. The first time I had a blueberry donut with coffee and the second time I had a chocolate chip covered donut with coffee. Both times fresh and I enjoyed them. I like the fact they have a wide variety to choose from. And they, two different ladies, were nice each time I came in. The pricing is reasonable as well. This is a 24 hour donut/sandwich/pizza place but keep in mind that they make the pizza during lunch time (at least that's what they told me when I was there at 12 am). The worker at the time was nice enough to make me a breakfast bagel sandwich which was just egg and cheese on a fresh bagel. It was delicious! Not bland, not salty, not over toasted. Pretty satisfying actually. Then again, is it true breakfast tastes even better when it isn't breakfast? There is a tv to watch if you are into that and the place is pretty spacious for how small it looks outside. I haven't tried the donuts because to be honest I am not much of a donut person and it was late and pizza sounded really cool. One could say, I am somewhat of a donut connoisseur. I'm addicted to sampling donuts any where I can. I could compare these donuts to those of Portland's famous Voodoo Donuts minus the fun/crazy aspect. Definitely would recommend. Service is also great. read more

So recently we attempted to buy all the donut holes for our church. They refused to sell them to us for the reason that we needed to "pre-order." So the next time we wanted to provide our church with Neil's donuts holes we attempted to preorder the day prior and were again refused Neil's service. "We don't do that" In a half hearted attempt to keep my business they did allow me to preorder. Bottom line.... Service requires significant improvement but the congregation enjoyed the donut holes. read more

Had lunch there today with coworkers. Went there for bagel sandwiches the one employee that was there said they dont have them so asked for a crossiant sandwich., then ask if he could put cream cheese on it he said NO it comes with mayo. Ordered the sandwich anyways then when i got it it had only mustard on it no mayo. Man was rude not helpful and seem like he didnt even want to be there. Made my 20 minute lunch not even worth the effort. I dont know why people that cant even smile work with the public. I wont be returning to that location EVER.
