Empanada not donut review: Very cordial custom service via phone and in person. I called around 3:00 pm to ask if they still had empanadas. Only three left, but he said no problem to make more, just let him know what kind! Very friendly guy. Said it takes about 40 minutes and I prepaid, no problem. Order was ready and hot when I got there, and if I didn't have a new car, I would've eaten them in the car. They were delicious! Beef was moist and flavorful, plenty of beef and just enough green olives. Chicken empanada was filled to capacity and very good. I added chimichurri at home for more spice. Spinach and cheese was good for a veggie option but the beef and chicken were our favorites. These were delicious and very substantial empanadas. There were some donuts left (4:00 pm) that looked mighty good - just too late in the day for me-it was time for empanadas. Recommend that you eat the empanadas right away. I couldn't finish mine, and they were much better and more moist when they were fresh from Leo's. Better yet - eat them in your car. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLACE TO GRAB A DONUT!!! I only ordered two donuts and they gave me like 4, FREE OF CHARGE BTW. The people there were also very nice (shoutout to them.) the atmosphere as also very nice and pretty chill. Used to be REALLY good. BUT since change in ownership tamales are NOT good, very very dry and don't taste fresh anymore. The donuts are good but they are different from before. Not as light and fluffy. And only made in the morning as before they kept making until afternoon. Staff is hit and miss, sometimes friendly and sometimes not so much. All in all it's JUST ok now. But I no longer recommend or even go here for tamales now. Oh and don't forget now they charge more to use a card. Ughhh never did that before either. read more

Horrible attitude by the lady at the front. Tried over charging me by 20% on my order. When I called her out on it, I got even more sttitude. Super slow service. Donuts were not fresh. ILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. Highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

They are open during COVID-19! Their donuts are delicious. I wish I'd taken pictures but we literally ate them all lol. I would say that the only negative is that the apple fritter is a little dry. I was surprised how little apple was in it.. it's my favorite donut and usually the same between most donut places but it was more donut than it was apple fritter. Will have to go back at some time for the other items but so far we've only been for donuts. read more

Very rude woman. Expired food. My 9 year old daughter ordered a donut and took one bight and it was stale. One minute later My daughter asked for a different one and the woman said no because she walked out the door with the stale one. My daughter tossed the gross donut to buy a bag of Doritos and the chips were expired. The expiration date was July and it's August. The woman did not do a refund. read more

We stopped by here from OC on the way to Mammoth. We ordered the chicken and beef empanada, a glaze donut, and a ham and cheese croissant. The empanadas were so delicious we had to come back after we filled up our gas at chevron. The donut was perfect and the croissant was good too! We are thankful we were able to stop by and check out the local donut shop. The man behind who I assumed is Leo was so kind and friendly. read more

The donuts have a good flavor. The exterior is crunchy and the inside soft and tasty. They have very good cream and jelly filled ones too with just the right amount of filling. The ham and cheese croissants are tasty too, they also have one with jalapeño, it was so good!! Can't wait to try their tamales and empanadas. Go early they sell out of everything pretty quickly. read more

Donuts/tamales/croissants are good. Empanada's are a bit dry. Lady with long fake eyelashes is not approachable at all. Every time I've gone in, the younger girl has a smile and is sweet. But the lashes lady looks like she just doesn't want to be there-ever. Come for the donuts not a conversation. read more

Great donuts and the most unique selection in the HD! We got a maple bacon stick which my boys enjoyed, with cuper srispy bacon pieces and a fresh soft donut. The bear claw, apple fritter and my favorite, the custard filled oversized chocolate long john all worth the extra money. Blueberry glazed and crumb twist also very good. This place used to be the sh*t. The chicken tamales are the best I've had, but since these girls bought over the store they are running it into the ground. They are always out of tamales by noon. I guess they are too lazy to make more. Every time I go in there's no tamales so now I just call in to hear the bad news. Also sometimes they stay open with like 10 doughnuts in the case . I don't understand how this store is still open. read more

I recently moved to Hesperia and I was craving donuts so I search for a donut shop and Leo's donuts came up and when I saw that they were selling empanadas and tamales I definitely wanted to try.. once I got there I was nicely greeted by a young gentleman and I started to order 1 pork tamale,1 corn tamale, 1 chicken empanada and some donuts.. Once I tried the pork tamales I was in love with the flavor I'm a picky person but the tenderness of the meat ant the masa was on point the corn tamale was great too next time I'll try the chicken tamales. Next I tried the chicken empanada and it was good I liked the chicken flavor and the donuts were good too I'll definitely go back read more

Donuts were eh ok. The owners were bitter especially the mans wife who would make faces as if she wasn't so happy to see people, or work there or maybe didn't like her staff? Not sure. Not only that but I would see the guy throw items on the table or in the microwave like he didn't care. I noticed there were small fans and some type of air conditioner on the floor everywhere which got me worried for the staff because they could trip, it's a safety hazard. One of the owners would use her hands to pick up donuts thinking no one noticed. The drinks they sell are too pricey even for just water. Overall I am never coming back there again. So much for owners that say they have the best reputation when they are like this... Also one last thing the owner lao or whatever his name is gave me weird creepy vibes when a little kid was in the shop because he'd ask the kid if he can kiss him and asking way too many questions not sure if that keeps happening? But seeing other reviews it looks like it..so I wouldn't recommend this donut shop to my family and friends. read more

If I can leave no stars I definitely would!!!! But man employees here are horrible,bad attitude!!!! The first time I went in after gymnastics took my toddler to get a donut the lady there was so rude and rushing us mind you there was no other customers in the shop but us, I get it we all have bad days but second time I go In again same nasty attitude!!!! Never again and to top it off the coffee is not good donuts are not great had better!!! The best in the high desert don't go anywhere else, , the best donuts, empanadas and tamales, and let's not forget the best service. Everytime I walk in here I am Always greeted and welcomed, most donut shops in the high desert don't even give you the time of day and want to Rush you out. Don't let your Kids come to this place alone . The owner was asking my daughter if she had a boyfriend and if he could have her phone number , my daughter is under age and a high school student . The owner is in his early 50's. This is not professional and is disgusting. read more
